'Saiyaara', the romantic drama directed by
Mohit Suri
, has opened to a stellar response at the Indian box office. The film starrer debutant
Ahaan Panday
in the lead, has scored an impressive Rs 20 crore (India net) haul on its opening day at the ticket windows, according to early estimates by sacnilk.
The film, which marks the big-screen debut of Ahaan alongside
Aneet Padda
, beat all expectations and early box office predictions to score this impressive feat.
The film's initial box office projections, based on advance bookings and blocked seats, was set to be around Rs 9.39 crore to Rs 12.49 crore. However, according to the reports, the film has surpassed these predictions, setting it up to be a potential sleeper hit.
Saiyaara recorded a 49.90% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions on Friday.
The film performed particularly well in cities like Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and the National Capital Region (NCR), where theatre occupancy rates were among the highest in the country. Mumbai recorded an estimated 43% overall occupancy rate.
Trade analysts are crediting the film's success to a combination of fresh casting, music, and Suri's emotional storytelling, which seems to have struck a chord with younger audiences. This impressive Rs 20 crore debut for Panday, comes at a time when several other star kids, latest being
Shanaya Kapoor
, who failed to rake in even Rs 2 crore at the box office in the first week of the release of her debut film 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'.

Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek calls out Patriots' toxic WAG culture that Gisele Bündchen never said out loud

Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek revealed the pressures she faced within the New England Patriots' WAG circle (Getty Images) In a rare, brutally honest reflection, Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend Camille Kostek has exposed the hidden pressures and silent judgment she endured as part of the New England Patriots' WAG (wives and girlfriends) circle—offering a glimpse into the exclusive, often toxic world behind the Super Bowl dynasty's polished image. Camille Kostek opens up about exclusion within the Patriots ' social circle 'I don't want to be in a room where people talk behind your back,' Camille Kostek admitted in a recent interview, referencing her discomfort navigating the Foxborough social scene. While fans celebrated victories, she says she was battling subtle but relentless scrutiny—especially for not having a ring from Rob Gronkowski and for pursuing her own thriving modeling career. Silent judgment and unspoken expectations behind the scenes For Kostek, the unspoken hierarchy within the Patriots' social sphere became painfully clear. 'It was almost like if you're not at every single foundation or charitable event, you don't belong.' She often felt isolated and unwelcomed, even while sitting in Bill Belichick's suite alongside Linda Holliday. 'It wasn't like anyone said, 'You can't sit with us.' It just felt that way,' she said. It wasn't until Gronk signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Camille says she finally felt embraced. Gisele Bündchen stayed above it all, but never really part of it Perhaps most revealing was her mention of Gisele Bündchen. 'Gisele did her own thing,' she said, explaining how the supermodel's global career and family life placed her on the periphery of the Patriots' inner circle. 'I never knew where she was… but when we did talk, it was like we'd known each other forever.' Kostek's comments pull back the curtain on the subtle power dynamics and image-driven politics NFL partners face. While rings and appearances seem to rule, her story—and Gisele's quiet independence—suggests that real strength may lie in walking your own path, no matter the whispers behind closed doors. Exclusive - Indraxi Kanjilal on changing narratives in Bollywood and OTT: Almost every film tries to include bold scenes today

Actress Indraxi Kanjilal, who plays the role of Prathana in Pushpa Impossible, says that there has been an increase in the portrayal of boldness in entertainment. She adds that while boldness has become a noticeable trend across Bollywood, OTT, and television, it's important to know where to draw the line. 'When it comes to boldness, it has increased a lot in Bollywood, OTT projects, and even on television. But I think there's a limit to everything. On OTT, if we talk about nudity or the boldness, it is at another level. On television, it's very censored, not only in what you see, but even in the dialogues. In Bollywood, of course, films that require such scenes have them. And these days, I've noticed a particular pattern: almost every film tries to include some kind of bold or sensuous scenes,' she says. The actress believes that cinema and television have a unique power to reflect and shape society. 'It is true that films, OTT content, television shows, or reality shows, whatever the medium, they kind of imitate society. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. But at the very least, they try to show reality. Sometimes it's just a way of showcasing the negative aspects of society, and sometimes it's meant to influence the audience. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo So, I think it's a very, very positive thing to showcase or imitate society in real time through television, OTT, or films. That's how society gets to see itself, you hold up a mirror and, in a way, either teach something or preach a lesson. So yes, I do think it's a good thing,' she says. Talking about the increasing portrayal of relationship conflicts, divorce, and mental health issues in mainstream content, Indraxi feels this exposure is not only necessary, but healthy. 'Relationship issues, divorce, conflicts with parents; I think real family issues are shown on television and everywhere else very normally now. And they are shown as something common, which they actually are. That's why I don't think we are overexposed to these topics. I honestly don't feel that. I believe these problems are real. Any show or project that focuses on such content showing real family issues or real-life problems that people go through, I think it's actually a good thing. ' She further adds, 'It's a positive aspect. We are not overexposed. In fact, we should be exposed to these things. These topics should be normalised, so that we don't feel ashamed when something like that happens to us. It's not something shameful. If you have troubles in your family or if there's a problem, it's fine. It's normal, right? We don't have to feel guilty or embarrassed about it. In fact, if we feel that there's trouble and we need help, we should feel comfortable reaching out, whether that's to a therapist or anyone else. ' The actress also comes from a psychology background, and says, 'Being a psychology student myself, I've seen many people being shy or hesitant about visiting therapists or psychologists. They feel it's shameful to have problems or to even share personal things with a professional. But things are slowly changing, and that's a good sign. This kind of content on TV and OTT helps make it even more acceptable. If you're facing issues, it's okay to seek help and clear your mind. That should be normal.' Rekha pushes for cultural unity via art and festivals

New Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta announced a series of initiatives on Sunday aimed at promoting cultural integration and national unity in Delhi. These initiatives include the inclusion of local artists from various states in regional festivals, promotion of non-Hindi languages among children in Delhi and the launch of a Student Exchange Programme with other states. Gupta stated that the Department of Art, Culture and Languages can play a vital role in this endeavour by broadening the scope of its programmes and activities. "The department must take initiatives beyond designated locations and bring them to the general public to enhance public participation," she said. She directed officials to ensure that regional festivals celebrated in Delhi include artists from the respective states, as this would help generate greater interest in these events. CM also stated that efforts will be made to explore possibilities for teaching non-Hindi languages to children in Delhi, enabling them to understand the social and cultural identities of other states. These directions were given during a recent meeting with the Department of Art, Culture and Languages, which minister Kapil Mishra also attended. The objective of the meeting was to enrich Delhi's cultural landscape and to involve all sections of society. Highlighting Delhi's diverse population, she emphasised the growing celebration of regional festivals. "Delhi is not merely the capital city but also a reflection of the country's cultural identity," she said. "We want the art and culture of various states to reach every street and for every individual to feel connected to it." She added that theatre and folk arts are powerful tools for spreading awareness and information, often more effectively than other forms of communication.
