Two charged with murder after death of 18-year-old
Adam Nevin died in hospital on Sunday after police were called to a property on McCann Avenue at about 01:15 on Friday.
Connor Jenkinson, 25, from West Lothian and Shane Jenkinson, 28, from Armadale, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
They were both charged with murder and were remanded in custody.
All three men were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after police were called to reports of a disturbance in the early hours of Friday morning.
There was a large police presence in Uphall following the incident.
Officers were still at the scene on Monday and as part of the investigation they were seen cutting down a large hedge.

Council investigates new park tree branch collapse
A council will investigate how a tree branch collapsed in one of its parks three weeks after a falling branch killed a young girl, its leader said. Seven-year-old Leonna Ruka suffered a fatal head injury and four other children were injured when part of a cedar fell at Chalkwell Park in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, on 28 June. On Saturday, a large fallen branch of a fir tree was discovered in the city's Priory Park, which is also maintained by the city council. "Tree specialists have been working in Priory Park all week carrying out inspections and maintenance, and we're working to understand what happened in this case," said Daniel Cowan, Labour. The council's tree surgeons removed the branch and inspected the rest of the tree on Saturday, he added. Further pictures on Your Southend showed some of the branch had collapsed on to a cycle path. Last month, up to 50 people tried to lift part of a 350-year-old tree when it trapped five children underneath it in Chalkwell Park. They included Leona, who was on a day trip from Dagenham, east London, and her six-year-old cousin, who remains critically ill in hospital. The remaining three had minor injuries. An inquest into Leona's death was opened and adjourned on Wednesday, with Essex Police and the Health and Safety Executive continuing to investigate the incident. Probe Substantiates Allegations Against WEF's Schwab, SZ Reports
Initial findings from an investigation into World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab's conduct at the organization he led for more than 50 years appear to support allegations that he manipulated economic reports published by the forum and submitted unjustifiably high expenses, Switzerland's SonntagsZeitung reported on Sunday. According to excerpts seen by the newspaper, law firm Homburger found that Schwab repeatedly intervened to influence country rankings in the WEF's Global Competitiveness Report for political purposes, the newspaper reported, citing excerpts it had seen. In one 2017 email to then-managing director Richard Samans, Schwab allegedly requested that the report be withheld to avoid straining his relationship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to the country's poor performance in the ranking, SonntagsZeitung said. Schwab also advised against improving the UK's place to prevent it being exploited by the supporters of Brexit, the newspaper said.

Suspect arrested, charged with murder of San Leandro man walking his dog
(KRON) — A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a 47-year-old San Leandro man last month, authorities announced Tuesday. Police said the victim, Ryan M. Christie, was shot while walking his dog. Andre Williams, 49, of San Leandro, was identified as the murder suspect by San Leandro Police Department investigators. On Monday afternoon, Williams was arrested at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Pavilion Parkway in Tracy. Slain Morgan Hill teen Marissa DiNapoli was stabbed in back: police Search warrants were executed at two residences associated with Williams, where authorities said additional evidence in the homicide was found. Christie was shot once in the back and killed while walking his dog along Euclid Avenue near East 14th Street on July 13 at around 11 p.m., according to San Leandro PD. His body was found the following morning at 8:23 a.m. by patrol officers conducting a welfare check. The dog, uninjured, was still leashed to his hand 'From all appearances it appeared that he was just out walking the dog,' SLPD Lieutenant Abe Teng told KRON4 at the time. People who work and live nearby said they've seen unhoused people hanging around the area, but never violent crime like this. 'This is a really, really quiet neighborhood,' Liliana Honorato, a resident of the area, told KRON4. 'Nothing happened like this before.' The Alameda County District Attorney's Office filed a murder charge against Williams on Tuesday. He is set to be arraigned Wednesday morning at the East County Hall of Justice in Dublin.
