Following the theatrical success of It Ends With Us, fans are now wondering if Colleen Hoover's next adaptation, Regretting You, will follow with a Netflix release.
The romantic drama, directed by Josh Boone and written by Susan McMartin, is set to hit cinemas soon under Paramount Pictures although a streaming release has not been announced yet.
The film stars Allison Williams as Morgan and McKenna Grace as her daughter Clara. It centres on their strained relationship following the sudden death of Clara's father, Chris. The adaptation is described by Boone as 'a romantic drama, one that has levity and humour,' with a focus on staying true to the source material.
The cast also includes Dave Franco as Jonah and Scott Eastwood. Yesterday Paramount Pictures unveiled the official poster for the film with the trailer set to release today.
Since a streaming release remains uncertain, viewers fear legal controversies tied to Hoover's previous adaptation may further complicate prospects.
Just four months after its theatrical release, It Ends With Us costars, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni were embroiled in a legal battle after Lively accused Baldoni of harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign. Baldoni denied the claims and countersued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds for defamation however, his initial suit was dismissed.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Hoover's popularity in Hollywood continues to rise, with more adaptations are on the way, including Reminders of Him and Verity.
Regretting You comes out in theatres on October 24, 2025.

'Wednesday' season 2 struggles to top charts amid Netflix's split-release strategy

Wednesday season 2 has returned on Netflix nearly three years after its premiere, but the show's popularity appears to be affected by the platform's latest release strategy. Despite positive reviews, the series is not topping global charts as expected. Netflix released the first four episodes of season 2 on August 6, with the remaining four due on September 3. This split-season format follows a wider trend adopted by the streaming platform, but some fans have voiced frustration. According to FlixPatrol, Wednesday currently ranks fourth on Netflix's global TV chart, with Unspeakable Sins leading, followed by Untamed and Beyond the Bar. In the United States, the show entered the charts in tenth place on August 3 and moved up slightly to eighth by August 6. As of August 7, it had not risen higher, recording a number one spot only in Lebanon and appearing in the Top 10 in multiple other regions. Fans rewatched season 1 ahead of the release, but the timing of the new season—launched on a Wednesday—might have impacted viewership, as Netflix traditionally schedules major releases later in the week. Critically, the show performed well. Wednesday season 2 holds an 83% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, up from 73% in season 1, and maintains an 86% audience rating. Netflix has already confirmed season 3 is in development, with creators aiming for a shorter gap between seasons.

Blake Lively drags Perez Hilton to court over ‘vicious' smear campaign

Blake Lively has filed a legal motion against gossip blogger Perez Hilton, alleging he played a key role in a sustained online smear campaign against her. The actress claims Hilton posted or shared more than 540 negative pieces targeting her across his platforms, all while never reaching out for comment. The motion, filed in Manhattan federal court, is part of her broader legal battle connected to It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. According to Lively's legal team, Hilton's posts were not only excessive but strategically framed to support Baldoni's side in their ongoing feud. Lively claims Hilton repeatedly used derogatory nicknames like Blackface Blake, Lying Lively, and Ku Klux Khaleesi to vilify her. The actress now seeks a court order compelling Hilton to turn over any communications he may have had with Baldoni or his associates. Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr., has denied any collaboration. He argues that his coverage was based on publicly available court documents and claims journalistic independence. In a separate filing in Las Vegas, Hilton asked for the subpoena to be quashed, stating that he is not a party to the Lively–Baldoni dispute and should not be forced to participate. But Lively's lawyers insist Hilton's actions were not neutral reporting but rather active participation in an orchestrated character attack. They are also requesting that Hilton cover the legal costs incurred in trying to obtain the documents and communications in question. The case comes in the wake of a now-dismissed counterclaim by Baldoni, who had accused Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds of defamation. Though Baldoni's suit was thrown out earlier this year, the fallout continues to ripple across social media, with fans and commentators criticising Hilton's role in shaping the public narrative around Lively.

Michael Pavano mocks Blake Lively deposition with viral skit amid ongoing legal feud with Justin Baldoni

Comedian and content creator Michael Pavano has drawn attention for his parody of actress Blake Lively's recent deposition, which stems from her ongoing legal battle with 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The skit, posted on Pavano's Instagram and TikTok accounts, shows him dressed in a blonde wig and beanies—visibly mimicking Lively's viral deposition outfit—while acting out exaggerated legal responses. The video references a number of real-life moments, including Lively being accompanied to the New York deposition by her husband Ryan Reynolds, sister Robyn Lively, and eight lawyers, as reported by Page Six and The New York Post. Pavano, who has also spoofed Sydney Sweeney in the past, makes several comedic allusions to the case, including jokes about rotating legal teams, craft services drama, and seating arrangements at the film's premiere. A clip widely shared on social media includes a gag about Lively's husband rewriting scenes and 'controlling snacks on set.' Lively filed a sexual harassment and defamation lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024 through the California Civil Rights Department. A $400 million countersuit from Baldoni was dismissed in June 2025. The AP and Entertainment Weekly confirm the case is scheduled to go to trial on March 9, 2026. In recent developments, Lively's attorneys have filed a motion for sanctions against Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman, alleging unauthorized media leaks of her 292-page deposition transcript. According to People and Business Insider, they are also seeking to seal the document. Over 100 content creators have reportedly been subpoenaed for sharing or commenting on the case online, India Times reports. Pavano's spoof arrives amid intensifying public discourse surrounding the case. His combined social media following now exceeds 1.2 million across platforms.
