Talk about fresh pairings, and Bollywood is never going to disappoint you. It is the season of bringing new Jodis on the silver screen, and we are all eyes for that. Brace yourselves for yet another new on-screen duo all set to leave us spellbound with their talent and acting prowess. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan and Alaya F are going to collaborate for a film, and it's not going to be a romance saga.
Sources close to the film's development have told us that the untitled film will be directed by Bodhayan Roychaudhury. He is the same man who wrote Vikrant Massey 's starrer masterpiece Sector 36 and has also directed Talaakhon Mein Ek. The source has further informed us that the story is going to be based on real-life incidents, and it's going to be a crime thriller.
Babil Khan, who was last seen in Logout, which was an OTT release. The film was out on Zee 5, and fans have praised his performance in it. Recently, the actor on his Instagram handle revealed that he would be taking some time off, due to which he had decided to part ways with filmmaker Sai Rajesh. These two were going to collaborate on a film, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, it is not happening anymore.
For the unversed, Babil's emotional video calling several Bollywood actors like Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and others rude went viral. After which, he sent out an apology, and the fallout between him and Sai Rajesh took place over it. Although they are now claiming that all is well between them, and he has stepped out of the film only because the star kid needed some time off.
Alaya F, on the other hand, was last seen in Srikanth opposite Rajkummar Rao. The story was based on the real life of Srikanth Bolla, who proved that nothing can stop him from changing his life, not even the fact that he was visually impaired.
We bet watching Babil and Alaya together on the silver screen will be nothing less than a visual treat for all the movie lovers.

The difference here is that Coolie managed Rs 17.75 crore, despite locking horns with War 2, featuring the Tollywood superstar Jr NTR. If not for the clash, the movie could have hit Rs 30 crore. For Coolie to give War 2 a run for its money in Andhra states speaks volumes. Infact, Coolie's day 2 is likely higher than War 2. Other movies part of the list are Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, Master and Beast, Vikram's I and Kamal Haasan's Indian 2. To note, S Shankar is the biggest Kollywood director in Andhra states. He has 3 films in the list, and then there are also other blockbuster films of his that were earlier part of this list. Coolie (Hindi) Day 2 Box Office: Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj film jumps to Rs 6.50 crore on Independence Day

The Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj-led Coolie has seen a 50 percent jump in collections on the second day as early trends indicate Independence Day business in the range of Rs 6.25 crore to Rs 6.75 crore. With this, the two-day total of Coolie stands at Rs 10.75 crore, and the film will be looking at an extended opening weekend in the range of Rs 20.00 crore. The Independence Day jump should have been bigger, but the reports are probably mixed, curtailing the chances of a big number. At one point of time through the advance sales cycle based on the trends, Coolie looking like a Rs 6.50 crore opener, but the film settled with a first day of Rs 4.25 crore. The film is doing well in single screens and will probably be the second highest-grossing Tamil Film in Hindi by the end of its run, which is good for optics, but the success tag would depend on the business it does post Monday. The film has faced competition with War 2 in Hindi, and could have done better without the opponent, as both the films catered largely to the masses. Coolie is continuing to do well in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and even Andhra Pradesh/Telangana on the second day, though some early cracks are visible on the second day in international markets. The Independence Day holiday has helped Coolie, though the jump had the scope to be higher given that the film has seen a release on about 1400 screens in North India. Here's a look at day-wise box office of Coolie Thursday: Rs 4.25 crore Friday: Rs 6.50 crore (Estimates) Total: Rs 10.75 crore Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!
