Britain's Got Talent fans say same thing as dance duo hit back at Simon Cowell
The third live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent 2025 kicked off on Saturday night, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly introducing the latest batch of hopefuls.
But one duo in particular were forced to hit back at judge Simon Cowell's suggestion they didn't want to be there, as he asked them if they even wanted to win. Eight more acts were set to perform live to the audience, the judges and viewers at home, all battling it out for a place in the live final at the end of the month.
It was Gymnast Albert Amores, danger act Bao, singing group Electric Umbrella, and fellow singers Jasmine Rice and Mickey Callisto taking to the stage this week, alongside musician Rumac and two dance acts, Harry & Lewis and Ping Pong Pang.
But Harry & Lewis were left facing a number of the same comments from viewers who watched their second performance. Not only that, they were quick to call out Simon's suggestion they "didn't say much" that proved they wanted to win this year's series.
As the episode got underway, judges Amanda Holden, Simon, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were ready with their comments. They were divided over Harry and Lewis with some comments suggesting it wasn't as good this time around, and others applauding their improved routine.
Simon rather awkwardly said to the men: "Do you actually want to win... you don't say much." Hosts Ant and Dec gave the pair a chance to reveal how they felt, with them confirming they did in fact want to be on the stage.
Hitting back at Simon, Harry said: "Of course we wanna win it, we'd have never been here if we didn't wanna win it," adding it was a "dream" for them to make the live semi-finals.
But Simon wasn't the only one with something to say about the pair, with fans at home all making the same observation about their routine. Viewers repeated that the duo reminded them of former contestants Twist and Pulse, joking they'd returned for another go in disguise.
One viewer posted online: "Shein version of Twist & Pulse," as another said: "Close enough, welcome back twist and pulse." A third fan said: "The first act is yet another Twist and Pulse knock-off?"
A fourth viewer commented: "Didn't twist & pulse do this exact act like 15 years ago." A fifth said: "They're like Twist and Pulse," as another said: "Temu twist and pulse."
It comes as hopeful Jasmine opened up about the secret heartache she overcame to impress the show's judges during her audition. Speaking to The Mirror, the drag queen opera singer revealed just hours before her performance she discovered her beloved grandmother had passed away.
She spoke of her shock at receiving a phone call from her dad to say she'd died suddenly in her native Korea. 'It totally threw me,' admitted Jasmine. It was out of the blue. She wasn't sick. She did have dementia. My family - including my grandma - have been such an amazing support system for me to continue singing. I basically thought of that and used that as fuel to continue and try to concentrate and do my best.'
She went on to wow the BGT crowd with her rendition of Nessun dorma, with judge Bruno left in tears. 'How many people can say that they could dedicate a performance to their loved ones on the day that someone passed?' said Jasmine. 'It's an anthem for my grandmother as she enters the pearly gates of heaven. I thought 'She's hearing my voice as she flies away'.'
With two more acts set to join the current final line-up on Saturday night, will it be another singer or dance group? So far through to the final are dance group The Blackouts, child guitarist Olly Pearson and two singers, Vinnie McKee and Stacey Leadbeatter.
Vinnie and Stacey both earned the public vote, while Olly and The Blackouts were given a semi-final Golden Buzzer. With another buzzer up for grabs on Saturday, we wonder which semi-finalist will get it.

Channel 5 was advised 'not to run' royal series despite high ratings
EXCLUSIVE: Channel 5 has produced several shows around the Royal Family over the years, but there was one that could have nearly not aired Channel 5 was told to steer clear of broadcasting a television programme about the Royal Family, it has emerged. The broadcaster has screened numerous detailed programmes about the Royals through the years, ranging from documentaries examining Royal residences to shows exploring Zara and Mike Tindall, alongside Prince Edward. Programmes including Secrets of the Royals and Lip-Reading the Royals: The Secret Conversations have offered viewers an insider's glimpse into behind-the-scenes activities, yet there was one television programme that nearly didn't make it to air. Ben Frow, Channel 5's Director of Programming, disclosed that he approached the King and Queen 's communications officer to discuss whether he could provide information for a TV show During a question and answer segment at the Edinburgh TV festival, Ben explained that he had been transparent about the "fantastic numbers" that certain controversial Royals, such as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, achieve for Channel 5. "I fessed up and I said, 'Look, Andrew, Harry, and Meghan still deliver fantastic numbers for us'," Ben informed the Mirror and other media outlets. "I made my position clear [about Harry and Meghan] and they didn't say don't do anything, but in an email a couple of weeks later, he said, 'I'd rather you didn't'." He went on to reveal that the communications officer shot down his request for inside information, reports Gloucestershire Live. Ben continued: "It was about Royal Service, and we asked him if he could help us get something on the Royal Family, and he said, 'It's not in my job description'." Harry and Meghan have long been a topic of debate among the public, particularly since their decision to step down as senior royals in 2020 and move to the US. The duo have ventured into reality TV with their Netflix series Harry and Meghan, but they've also been the subject of numerous documentaries, including Channel 5's Harry and Meghan: What Next? and Meghan and Harry: The Rise and Fall. However, they're not the only contentious figures in the Royal Family. Harry's uncle, Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has also proven to be divisive over recent years This has led to him being the centre of attention in TV shows as well, such as Channel 5's Prince Andrew: Where Did All The Money Go? and Andrew & Fergie's: Unconventional Relationship.

Meghan Markle's silence questioned as Prince Harry leaves secret letter at royal event
Meghan has kept quiet while Harry has made attempts to heal the Royal rift in recent weeks. Prince Harry is making a concerted effort to mend fences with the Royal Family. But Meghan Markle has remained conspicuously silent following her husband's latest peace offering. Earlier this week it was revealed the Duke of Sussex discreetly left a secret letter at a royal event attended by King Charles and Queen Camilla. He reportedly asked a friend to subtly leave a note and a wreath of red poppies at the Burma Star Memorial, in honour of the national VJ Day commemorations. The letter was placed after Charles and Camilla had departed to avoid detracting from the service, which paid tribute to the sacrifice of Second World War heroes who fought and died in the Pacific and Far East. However, Meghan did not sign the letter. And this isn't the first time she's maintained her silence in recent weeks, as experts have pondered why she hasn't voiced support for her husband amidst a 'devastating' boardroom dispute. Earlier this year, the Duke stepped down from Sentebale, the charity he established to assist children orphaned by Aids in Lesotho, following a tense confrontation with the chairwoman, Dr Sophie Chandauka, reports the Mirror. Harry was reportedly devastated by the disagreement, which resulted in all parties being reprimanded by the Charity Commission for allowing the dispute to become so public. Many anticipated Meghan would publicly support Harry. However, her continued silence has raised eyebrows amongst royal observers. In her latest Instagram post, Meghan chose to sidestep the ongoing controversy. The Duchess, 44, shared a video on Tuesday of herself preparing and serving a lemon pasta spaghetti dish. Prior to this, she promoted the upcoming second series of With Love Meghan. Royal expert Dr Tessa Dunlop said: "Now that Meghan and Harry have signed a new Netflix deal ('looser' and apparently less lucrative than the previous $78m one but a deal nonetheless), might the Duchess find her voice? "Not the one she volubly uses to hawk As Ever wares (in conjunction with Netflix) but rather the voice Meghan famously re-found after leaving the Royal Family, the one that talked her truth to Royal power and surely could talk her truth to the Sentebale fiasco? "No, really, why hasn't Meghan come out batting for Prince Harry in his latest round of verbal fisty-cuffs concerning his former African charity? "After all, the Duke has consistently spoken out in support of his wife, establishing the precedent early on and against the wishes of his family when he condemned Britain's media coverage and insisted he had never before witnessed such a 'degree of pressure, scrutiny and harassment' from the press." She added: "As it currently stands, Harry cuts a lonely figure. The Charity Commission 'identified a 'strong perception of ill treatment' swirling in the unhappy waters of his former charity, Sentebale. "It was a terse ruling that exonerated no one; all parties remain incandescent, particularly the aggrieved prince, who insists the report has fallen 'troublingly short'. "In other words, the Duke of Sussex's nemesis, Dr Sophie Chanduka, is still at large, running Harry's former beloved Sentebale. The Duke could really do with some public TLC, especially from his wife, whose own issues with said Dr Chanduka were allegedly caught on camera at a polo match Sentebale fundraiser." This follows the confirmation by Harry and Meghan that they have extended their deal with Netflix, having signed a new "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects". While the duchess was quick to celebrate the signing, experts claimed that the deal is a downgrade for the couple. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Iconic Channel 4 sitcom 'returning' as cast members reunite in teaser snaps
Fans of The Inbetweeners have predicted that a reunion is finally coming after ten years. Fans of The Inbetweeners have been begging for a reunion ever since the hilarious Channel 4 sitcom came to an end in 2010 and some fresh new snaps of the cast members have further sparked hope that it may finally be coming. The iconic comedy series, starring Simon Bird, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and James Buckley, ran for just three seasons between 2008 and 2010. However, it went on to become one of the channel's most successful shows ever and is still widely considered one of Britain's most beloved comedy shows of all time. Running for 18 episodes in total with two sequel films in 2011 and 2014, The Inbetweeners focuses on the hilarious and painfully awkward love lives of Jay, Will, Neil and Simon as they attend sixth form college. The gang have now not appeared on screen together since their 2019 Fwends Reunited show and fans are calling for an Inbetweeners 3 or a reunion episode to be released after one star took to Instagram with a cryptic post, which certainly sparked quite the reaction. Actor James Buckley, who portrays Jay in the Channel 4 show, took to Instagram to tease that he is "working on something" with co-star Joe, who plays Simon. Offering no further details about their upcoming collaboration, the post was accompanied by a series of snaps of James and Joe, in different outfits, behind the camera. Excited fans raced to the comments to question whether or not an Inbetweeners reunion was coming. One replied: "Inbetweeners 3 we are waiting." A second echoed this sentiment, even pitching an idea for the script: "Inbetweeners but it's mid life crisis time, Jay, Simon and Neil all have kids and some are married/ divorced and Simon is somehow an absolute stud with the ladies and is single rich and free." Someone else chimed in that they 'couldn't wait' for an Inbetweeners reunion after waiting 10 years. James and Joe previously worked together on the sitcom White Gold, which followed a crew of window salesmen in 1980s Essex. White Gold ran for two seasons between 2017 and 2019 before it was cancelled by the BBC with James confessing in 2020 that he had no idea the show had been axed. Other fans predicted that James' post meant that the windows sales comedy would be making a return once again as it was just the two of them shown in the snaps. It could also be that the duo are working on something entirely new as out of all the cast, they appear to be the closest work wise after the pair also teamed up for an Oasis-themed sketch in aid of Comic Relief earlier this year. Since the end of The Inbetweeners, the four stars have been working on separate things with the 2019 Fwends Reunited show being the last time any of them worked together. However, the show was slammed by fans as people had expected the talk show to be a one-off sequel episode. Fans are however holding out hope that Inbetweeners 3 is now on the way.
