Leader Live14-05-2025
Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, which will see TV presenter Fleur East and theatre actor Karis Anderson star as Turner from June 24, is the longest-running production in the Aldwych Theatre's history.
The musical will make its final West End bow on September 13, having been put together in association with the late singer, and telling her life story from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into a rock-and-roll star.
Speaking about the show's cancellation, producer Tali Pelman said: 'The decision to close our West End production has been extremely difficult.
'Celebrating and sharing Tina's legacy has meant so much to all of us who have been working on this show over the last decade.
'We are proud to have fulfilled Tina's dream for the musical, which was to serve not only as a reminder of her work but as the beating heart of her empowering message – courage, indomitable spirit and an eternal optimism in what is possible.
'We are grateful to our exceptional authors and creatives, to the many extraordinary women who have played this phenomenal role on the Aldwych stage, to the casts, musicians, production and backstage teams, and to the countless others who have dedicated themselves to the London production over the past 10 years.
'We are delighted that the show is selling out on tour across the UK and Ireland, and continues to elate audiences in productions across North America, Europe and around the world.
'In London this will be a summer of celebration, led by our glorious duo of Karis Anderson and Fleur East in our final West End cast.'
The show premiered in the West End in April 2018 and since then productions have opened in North America, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Australia, with a Brazilian production opening in February 2026.
Turner achieved 11 UK top 10 songs and two UK number one albums, having begun her career with her then husband Ike Turner releasing songs such as River Deep, Mountain High, Nutbush City Limits and Tell Her I'm Not Home.
The star went on to achieve global success with her solo career which saw her release songs such as What's Love Got To Do With It?, The Best and Private Dancer.

Katie Price unrecognisable as she unveils new face amid sad feud with daughter Princess

Former glamour model Katie Price recently underwent another round of surgeries after a warnings from her friends and family, as well as a top plastic surgeon Katie Price has unveiled her brand-new face after going under the knife for yet another round of cosmetic surgery. ‌ The former glamour model and mum-of-five, 47, was spotted in Istanbul, Turkey, with her face heavily bandaged following her latest round of cosmetic enhancements at the Trio Clinic. ‌ After forking out a whopping £10,000 on a facelift earlier this year, Katie has had a string of more procedures including a lip lift correction, brow lift, and a new eye lift as part of her ongoing transformation. It comes after Katie snubbed her daughter Princess' reality show launch amid their reported feud. ‌ Katie, who has been open about her 'addiction' to surgery and changing her appearance appeared in good spirits as she was pictured in Istanbul, despite the visible post-surgery swelling and dressings covering her new face. The mum-of-five also shared a selfie from her hospital bed in an elevator surrounded by her medical team. The new images of Katie's latest surgery results are likely to cause major concern among Katie's family members, who have warned her multiple times to stop the excessive surgeries on her face and body. ‌ It's no secret that Katie is no stranger to plastic surgery, having undergone hundreds of ops and aesthetic treatments over the years. In January this year she showed off her new 'bubble but' after treating herself to a new Brazilian butt lift - to correct a previous procedure she had claimed was botched. The reality TV star, who rose to fame as a glamour model in the late 1990s has allegedly undergone 17 breast augmentations and six facelifts, among other surgical changes to her body over the years. Katie has previously said her quest for perfection comes from her body dysmorphia. "I don't ever look in the mirror and think I look good. I never have done. So, there's obviously an underlying issue," she said. ‌ Plastic Surgeon and Senior Medical Director at CREO, previously spoke to The Mirror about the grave danger Katie is putting herself in when it comes to her addiction to surgeries and cosmetic procedures. He issued a warning about the risks involved with surgery, saying: "Repeated surgeries can lead to scar tissue buildup, nerve damage, and skin thinning, which may complicate future procedures. ‌ "There's also the possibility of infection, asymmetry, or complications like poor wound healing." Her latest round of surgery comes amid a reported sad family rift with daughter Princess and her ex Peter Andre over her daughter's new reality TV show - which Katie plays no part in. ‌ Katie said this week that she burst into tears at being told she was banned from appearing in a tell-all ITV documentary about Princess' life. Speaking out on her podcast, Katie also said she was devastated to have been blacklisted from her daughter's 18th party - which was also filmed for the show. ‌ This weekend sources disclose to the Mirror that Katie had in fact swerved a meet-up with Princess on her 18th birthday so she could carry on partying abroad instead. The mum-of-five had insisted she was banned from her daughter's 18th birthday party and that her former management team – who look after ex-husband Peter Andre and Princess – did not want her on the show as they considered her 'trash'. Speaking on her podcast, Katie claimed: 'Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming'. ‌ She added: "The fact is there's stuff my daughter is doing and I'm not allowed to be seen at any of it.' However, insiders have claimed that her version of events are far from the truth. They said the 18-year-old had arranged to see her mum on the morning of her birthday in June in London, but Katie failed to appear. A source said: 'It was all in the diary but then Katie claimed she couldn't make it as she was abroad. It was disappointing. 'For Katie to then say she was banned from the afternoon's filmed party when she was the no-show in the morning is just beyond belief.'

The jetsetting duo, who describe being in a nightclub as their personal hell were horrified to discover that they would be staying in a "stinky" self-catered apartment right in the centre of the Greek Island's party capital Laganas. Used to five-star comfort, the couple described the bed as like "laying on a piece of wood", and the bathroom as "disgusting". "I believe this is way out of anybody's comfort zone", Brazilian beauty Isabella said, looking visibly repulsed. Advertisement The couple considered throwing the towel in before they'd even stayed one night in the hotel, despite their holiday companions, cash strapped single mums Gemma and Stacey describing the place as "lovely". The Hertfordshire besties, both 44, and the posh couple got off to a rocky start, with James declaring to the camera that the women are "not our type of people". And James and Isabella couldn't believe their ears when they found out that their budget for the trip would be just 135 euros. "That's usually what we spend on one dinner", Isabella said. Advertisement After probing more in to the couple's lavish lifestyle, Gemma and Stacey, who both struggle to feed the six kids they have between them on their £1000 a month Universal Credit money, were left gobsmacked to learn that James and Isabella have £5,000 a month in disposable income. Used to dining on salmon and avocado, the wealthy duo were less than impressed when party lovers Gemma and Stacey ordered them both a full English. Single mum surviving on just £125 a MONTH after bills fights tears at £250-a-night hotel on Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday "It's not healthy", said Isabella, turning her nose up at the fry up. However, the couple were given a reality check after seeing Gemma and Stacey, who sometimes can't even afford a tin of beans, haggle to get their breakfast's cheaper. Advertisement "It's not an easy life for them", Isabella realised. Despite at first being unwilling to join in, Isabella and James did admit to having fun at a budget day out to a waterpark. However, their worst nightmare came true when Gemma and Stacey dragged them out to a night on the strip. After being disgusted by the neon lights and cheap shots on offer at the nightclubs, Isabella and James decided to make a French exit before even entering a single bar. Advertisement Sick of living on the cheap, the couple blew their strict budget, and spent £40 a takeaway. "This is the best part of the holiday", James said. Despite admitting that the trip wasn't up their street at all, the posh pair did admit that the break had really made them think about the value of money. 4 The duo lasted just five minutes on the Zante trip Credit: Channel 5
