Zach Bryan's Ex Brianna LaPaglia Fires Back Against Song Remarks, Leaked Text Message
A new set of back-and-forth of barbs thrown between Bryan and LaPaglia began shortly after Bryan released a trio of new songs earlier this month, including 'River Washed Hair.' The Grammy winner denied online speculation the new song was about LaPaglia, commenting, 'Lmfao, I said 'sweet' this is not about whatever she has going on hahahahaah.'

LaPaglia swiftly responded on social media, writing, 'Lmao obviously he doesn't think I'm sweet I turned down 12 million dollars to share my abuse,' going on to claim of Bryan's previous romantic partners, 'while rose [Madden] and Deb [Peifer] signed nda's. Also fyi his songs aren't about anyone he writes them drunk at 6am.'
On his Instagram Stories, Bryan shared a screenshot of a text message allegedly sent from LaPaglia, sometime prior to Oct. 29, 2024. The lengthy message includes lines such as 'I'll never forget the love I felt for you at one time in this life! Timing was wrong and you weren't ready and that's okay. Enjoy being a rockstar. If you ever need a friend that gets it, I'll always be here, I don't break my promises.'
On July 14, LaPaglia shared on Instagram a screenshot of a different text message, one which LaPaglia claimed was from Bryan's management team, offering non-disclosure agreement option proposals, with one option including a house in addition to $3 million, and another option being a flat $10 million. 'And I rest my case! His manager texting me their options for NDA [non-disclosure agreement],' LaPaglia captioned the Instagram story containing the screenshot of the text message.
In another Instagram Story on July 14, LaPaglia wrote, 'I have not told one lie ever and it's baffling to me the brain dead little army of men that so clearly abuse women too that blindly follow their little leader bc he makes songs for them about being bad boyz lol.' She also seemed to confirm that Bryan's previously screenshotted text message was indeed from her, writing, 'For those of you confused, my ex posted screenshots of our texts (where I'm being nice lol) this morning at 7 am. He also commented on TikTok's about me last week. I am simply responding to him attacking me. I want nothing to do with this man idk why he's crashing out.'
She also wrote, 'One last thing, I am not taking the bait and please stop dming me to expose him. The proof is literally in the pudding I don't need to relive my trauma for the sake of online entertainment. Like I've said from day one. I share my experiences that I thought would be helpful for other women and I'll continue to honor that.'
She later added, 'I was offered 12.9 million dollars to stay quiet. I was presented options on what I could choose. I chose none because I have morals. End of story. I'm so sick of this s–t idk why he's crashing out.
After their breakup last year, Bryan posted on his Instagram Stories, 'Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I'll always thank her. I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and I never will be.'
Billboard has reached out to Bryan's team for comment.
Next up, Bryan will perform three headlining shows at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 18-20.

Videos show Katy Perry's mid-air prop malfunction at San Francisco concert
Katy Perry was clinging to a butterfly prop during her Lifetimes Tour concert on July 18 in San Francisco. In multiple fan videos, Perry nearly falls above the audience at the Chase Center as the prop malfunctions while she is in the air. While singing her 2013 hit song "Roar," the 13-time Grammy nominee was riding on the prop when it titled and dropped, seemingly causing her to lose her balance. USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Perry for comment. In the clip, Perry looks back up at the prop's wires and down at the audience before continuing to sing "Roar," crooning "and you're gonna hear me roar, louder than a lion." Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry breakup: Couple to focus on co-parenting daughter Daisy With her signature humor, the "Last Friday Night" hitmaker Perry jokingly took to her Instagram Stories with a blurred, zoomed in picture of her reaction to the viral moment, captioning the post "Good Night San Fran." High-flying, mid-air performances were popularized by Perry's fellow popstar Pink. The Perry malfunction comes weeks after a Beyoncé concert June 28 when the Cowboy Carter creator sang her hit single "16 Carriages" while soaring in a red car when a technical glitch caused the vehicle to tilt midair. She briefly paused the show telling everyone to "stop" repeatedly, before being safely lowered and landing the car among the audience. There were no injuries. Shortly after, Beyoncé returned to the stage cool, calm and collected. She joked, "if I ever fall, I know y'all will catch me," before carrying on with the show. It's been a busy, rollercoaster year for the "California Girls" singer. Perry recently wrapped a four-show stint in Adelaide, Australia, which capped nearly four weeks of performing in the island country, as she ended her concert emotionally following a highly publicized split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom. "Thank you for always being there for me, Australia; it means the world," a teary-eyed Perry told the crowd as her 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove's vocals on her "143" album-closing track "Wonder" rang out in the arena. She shook off the emotion and said, "Now let's sing 'Firework!'" The A-list actor and Perry confirmed their split in a July 3 statement to USA TODAY via their representatives. Worcester annual Latin American Festival cancelled, political and economic reasons named
Advertisement But recently, Centro, the nonprofit organizing the event, announced they were canceling this year's festival because of economic and political reasons, such as loss of funding and growing tensions over sharing cultures. The festival has been a yearly tradition in Worcester for over three decades, drawing crowds of over 15,000 attendees to the city center. In a statement, CEO of Centro Augustina Velazquez said they were canceling the event's 33rd iteration because 'post-pandemic inflation has doubled the costs' for various items needed to put it on, including infrastructure and security. Artists are also charging more, making the festival more difficult to finance, according to Velazquez. 'Additionally, political tensions—driven by federal policies and public perception—further complicate matters,' Velazquez said. 'While some individuals recognize the valuable efforts municipalities are making, others remain unaware or skeptical. Consequently, this has led to a decrease in community engagement." Advertisement Artists and families like Canales and his daughter were saddened to hear that the festival would not be taking place this year. Yony Avila, a reggaetón singer whose stage name is JK EL Especialista, performed at last year's festival and remembers many vendors selling handcrafted items and people hosting activities, as well as stands dedicated to different Latin American countries. 'It was cool, everyone was having fun and I really liked the way they did it because they had different countries and a lot of information about [the cultures],' said Avila, who is from Honduras. Avila, who heard about the cancellation from the organizers, said he was sorry to hear that the festival would not be taking place this year, and that kids and families would not be able to enjoy sharing and learning about different cultures. Over the past several months, tension over the recent immigration policies has risen in Worcester, Velazquez said that the event was not cancelled due to fear of ICE. 'To those who were unaware of all the details and used harsh words like 'we're afraid of ICE,' I urge you not to act on emotion and to consider all the reasons I've shared,' Velazquez said in the statement. Canales said that his daughter had the opportunity to perform her song in the bachata style, a lively style of Latin dance and music, for the first time on the stage at the Latin American Festival last year, making the experience extra special for them. He hopes that it can continue so other families can experience a similar feeling of connection with different cultures. Black Sabbath Hits No. 1 For The First Time
Black Sabbath earns its first No. 1 on one Billboard chart as 'Paranoid' tops the Hot Hard Rock ... More Songs list following the band's final concert in Birmingham. LOS ANGELES, CA - SEPTEMBER 24: Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath performs at Ozzfest 2016 at San Manuel Amphitheater on September 24, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor ABA) Black Sabbath said goodbye to fans around the world with a farewell concert held in Birmingham, England in early July. The group reformed in its classic lineup for one final show – an event that likely also marked the end of Ozzy Osbourne's performing career. Charts globally reflect the excitement and sadness drummed up by the performance, and in the United States, Black Sabbath scores a long-overdue hit, as the band manages to conquer a Billboard ranking for the very first time. Black Sabbath Lands a First No. 1 Black Sabbath launches 'Paranoid' at No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. The group earns not only its first No. 1 or even its first top 10, but its first appearance ever on the ranking of the most consumed hard rock tracks throughout the U.S. The tally was introduced many years after Black Sabbath's initial commercial heyday, but some longtime fans may still be surprised by the fact that it took until 2025 and the group's swan song for the rockers to appear anywhere on the list. 'Paranoid' Returns on Multiple Rankings 'Paranoid' also debuts on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs charts at the same time. Coincidentally, it launches at No. 16, earning Black Sabbath just its second-ever hit. More than a decade ago, in 2013, 'God Is Dead?' arrived and spent a very short stint on the consumption-based rankings. Hard Rock Classic Hits the Sales and Streaming Tallies The same single, which is regarded as perhaps Black Sabbath's most famous and one of the most highly-regarded hard rock tunes in history, returns to both the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Hard Rock Streaming Songs charts simultaneously. 'Paranoid' reenters those tallies at Nos. 5 and 10, respectively. Those positions mark high points that 'Paranoid' has reached in the past, and the composition returns to them as interest in the band's music surges. A Classic Album Climbs Once Again 'Paranoid' served as the lead single from Black Sabbath's second studio album of the same name, which arrived in 1970. As the smash hit debuts and returns to several rosters, Paranoid the collection reappears on the Top Hard Rock Albums tally this week, breaking back in at No. 16. That slot serves as a never-before-seen high for the bestselling release.
