Jeweller smashed in head with hammer during terrifying robbery
The men were wearing masks and wielding hammers and metal bars when they entered Shree Ganesh Jewellers on Gympie Rd at Chermside just after 5pm on Tuesday.

The store owner, Bijaya Sunar, who was working at the time, was struck in the head several times with a hammer.
'The group then smashed a number of glass cabinets and stole a large amount of jewellery,' Queensland Police said.
His wife Samita Subarnkar Sunar was also in the store at the time of the alleged attack.
The jewellery store has a system which requires customers to buzz a doorbell to be admitted inside.
7NEWS understands the alleged offenders waited outside until a customer and her children were heading in.
The men then pushed past the woman and children and unleashed on the store.
Bijaya was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.
Samita told 7NEWS that her husband required emergency surgery to remove a haematoma on his brain.
The offenders fled in a grey Honda CR-V station wagon, which was allegedly stolen from Calamvale on Sunday.
No arrests have been made at this stage.

One woman dead after vehicle rollover on Hunter Expressway
AN ELDERLY woman has died following a serious two-car crash which caused one vehicle to flip near Greta on Friday night. Emergency services were called to the Hunter Expressway near Camp Road at about 5.20pm on Friday, August 15 after two SUVs - both travelling southeast - collided. A 63-year-old woman, from Aberdeen, driving the vehicle in front, a red 2022 Isuzu, was not injured and stopped nearby; however, the occupants of the following vehicle were trapped when it rolled several times. An 88-year-old woman was a passenger in a grey 2020 Honda HR-V being driven by a 61-year-old woman from Bonnells Bay. The pair were trapped for about an hour before the older woman was released and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where she later died. The driver was taken by road ambulance to the same hospital. The Westpac rescue helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the scene, causing the expressway to close in a northbound direction, north of Lovedale Road. A spokesperson for NSW Police said the highway north of Lovedale Road was closed briefly in both directions at about 6.15pm. Live Traffic NSW showed drivers could take northbound diversions via Lovedale Road, Allandale Road, New England Highway, and Wine Country Drive. Officers from Hunter Valley Police District attended the scene and have commenced investigations into the incident. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner. As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or any witnesses to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
