Alternatively, Argos has dropped the price of the McGregor Universal Pressure Washer down from £100 to only £75. With a flow rate of 450 litres per hour, this washer comes with a five metre hose and is equipped with wheels for easy transportation.
Currently boasting 4.5 stars from over 12,700 Amazon shoppers, many customers have left remarks about the power this machine possesses despite its compact size.
One happy shopper wrote: "I was so impressed with this power washer. I wanted something compact but had doubts if this would have enough power to do what I wanted it to do. I also have a really weak water supply so thought this might struggle. It absolutely does not!
"I used it to power wash my patio, decking and garden wall and it did it no problem. It's light and has space to store the additional heads securely. It has a good hose length and power lead and overall good build quality. Really very happy with it."
Another customer simply added: "Small but powerful pressure washer. Comes with various accessories too. Easy to store on a shelf."
However, not everyone was as pleased with the outdoor cleaner, as one shopper grumbled: "Maybe I should have got something more powerful to clean my drive. The attachments are a bit stiff to change but it looks perfect for car cleaning. Not cordless and the hose isn't long so you'll need a hose and maybe an electrical extension wire suitable for power tools."
Another reviewer also said: "Its a great little machine but the hose if far to short, its only 3m so the unit gets soaking wet from the spray and you find yourself holding the unit in one hand and the lance in the other when washing car, the power lead is also far to short so an extension lead is needed so extra care needs to be taken not to get plug wet."
Overall, the pressure washer received raved reviews, with one person noting: "If you're looking for a pressure washer and you don't want to break the bank. Buy this one! I cannot fault it one bit. I mainly use to wash my car does the job perfectly. I bought additional snow foam cannon fits it perfectly no issues!"
A further five-star reviewer also said: "First jet washer to work perfectly. Now I need to jet wash everything I can get a hold of. Another perfectly engineered product from Bosch."

Brazil regulator suspends soy moratorium, orders probe of exporters

SAO PAULO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Brazil's competition authority CADE has given grain traders in the world's largest soybean exporter 10 days to suspend a program called "soy moratorium" or face hefty fines, in a ruling seen by Reuters on Monday. The two-decade-old private pact seeks to protect the Amazon rainforest, by barring soybean traders from buying from farmers who cleared land there after July 2008, but it represents a potential breach of Brazilian competition law. In his signed decision, the agency's general superintendent Alexandre Barreto de Souza called for a full investigation into the signatories of the voluntary corporate program in which companies share commercially sensitive information. Firms wishing to apply soy moratorium criteria to buy soybeans grown in the Amazon "must do so independently and in accordance with national legislation," he wrote. However, environmental group Greenpeace said the ruling was the result of pressure from the farm lobby, compromising nearly two decades of progress. "By suspending the moratorium, CADE not only encourages deforestation but also silences consumers' right to choose products that do not contribute to the devastation of the Amazon," it said in a statement after the ruling was issued. The attacks on the pact "are political and favor precisely those who profit most from the destruction of the Amazon," it added. CADE's decision to suspend the program was "historic", said farmer group Aprosoja Mato Grosso. "For years, a private agreement without legal support has been imposing unfair trade barriers on farmers ... preventing the sale of crops grown in regular and licensed areas," it said in a statement. De Souza has given soy buyers and trade groups Anec and Abiove, which represent global grain handlers such as ADM (ADM.N), opens new tab, Bunge, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus and Cofco, 10 days to comply with the ruling. CADE's stance on the moratorium is "extremely worrisome" and will be appealed, Anec, which represents grain exporters, said in a statement, however. The program should stand as it is "a multi-sector pact" backed by civil society, the environment ministry and Brazil's environment agency Ibama, it added. Abiove, which represents oilseeds crushers, said it was "surprised" at the recommendation for a full-blown probe and imposition of preventive measures, adding in a statement that it would take steps to prove the pact was legal. CADE's preventive measures must be adopted by the soy moratorium's working group, including Anec and Abiove, and 30 grain companies that have signed up to the program, the ruling showed. It also ordered soy exporters to refrain from collecting, sharing, storing and disseminating commercially sensitive information related to the soy trade and the farmers with whom they do business. The order calls for the withdrawal of all soy moratorium information and related online publicity.

Brazil competition authority targets soy exporters in probe

SAO PAULO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - A unit of Brazilian competition authority CADE has ordered soybean traders in Brazil to end a program called "Soy Moratorium" or face hefty fines, according to a decision signed by CADE's General Superintendent Alexandre Barreto de Souza on Monday and seen by Reuters. De Souza also recommended a full-blown investigation into the signatories of the program, which is a voluntary initiative under which exporters agree not buy soy from farmers who cleared land in the Amazon rainforest after July of 2008. Companies and trade groups Anec and Abiove, which represent global grain handlers like ADM (ADM.N), opens new tab, Cargill ( Bunge (BG.N), opens new tab, Louis Dreyfus ( and Cofco, have 10 days to comply, according to the document. Anec did not have an immediate comment. Abiove said it was "surprised" with De Souza's decision to recommend a full-blown probe. Abiove added it would take measures to defend the legality of the moratorium in addition to collaborating fully and transparently with the authorities.

Exclusive: Arm hires Amazon AI exec to boost plans to build its own chips

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Arm Holdings has hired (AMZN.O), opens new tab artificial intelligence chip director Rami Sinno to bolster its plans to develop its own complete chips, a person familiar with the matter said on Monday. Sinno was responsible for helping to develop Amazon's homegrown AI chips called Trainium and Inferentia that are designed to help build and run large AI applications. Until now, Arm has not built its own chips. Instead, it designs the core architecture and instruction set for processors that it sells to customers. Chip designers like Apple (AAPL.O), opens new tab and Nvidia (NVDA.O), opens new tab use Arm technology in their chips. In July, Arm disclosed plans to invest a portion of its profit into building its own chips and other components. CEO Rene Haas discussed the possibility of moving beyond designs and building chiplets - smaller, function-specific versions of a chip that are stitched together - and complete systems. The company, which is majority-owned by the SoftBank Group (9984.T), opens new tab, collects royalty payments on the chips its customers sell. Arm-based devices power nearly every smartphone in the world and server chips based on its intellectual property have made significant inroads in the data center market long dominated by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.O), opens new tab and Intel (INTC.O), opens new tab. As part of a broad plan to increase its business, Arm has sought to expand beyond supplying crucial chip intellectual property to building its own complete designs. Reuters first reported on the company's plans outlined in sealed exhibits from a December trial, and its effort to hire executives from rivals in February. In recent years, Arm has sought to bolster its teams focused on building complete chips and systems. The company has hired Nicolas Dube, an executive from HPE (HPE.N), opens new tab with large-scale systems design experience, and Steve Halter, a chip engineer from Intel and Qualcomm (QCOM.O), opens new tab, as part of the effort, the person familiar with the matter said. Sinno's effort at Amazon was part of the company's effort to design chips that would be cheaper and offer superior performance to Nvidia's graphics processors used for AI work.
