This survival-horror title is going to be the ninth mainline entry of the franchise, following the Resident Evil Village in 2021. This highly anticipated title is going to be released on February 27, 2026 on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The most exciting gameplay feature of Resident Evil Requiem is arguably the option to switch camera perspectives. Yes, players will be able to delve into Requiem into both first-person and third-person perspective.
Being a horror-survival title, first-person perspective is an immersive way to play the game. On the other hand, third-person perspective offers unreal freedom about the in-game environment.
Another intricate gameplay feature of this title is the classic horror-survival mechanics. For example, players will start off the game as vulnerable characters who are untrained in combat, and later on will learn to deal with the external affairs.
Resident Evil Requiem Protagonist

Capcom has already confirmed that Grace Ashcroft is going to be the main protagonist of the game. Now, this surname might intrigue the OG Resident Evil player, because Grace is actually the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who was one of the main characters of Resident Evil Outbreak, which was released over two decades ago.
Also there are rumors and speculations all around the internet that there will be another protagonist in the game along with Grace.

However, Capcom is yet to officially reveal the identity of this second protagonist.
Resident Evil Requiem storyline

Keeping in mind the complications of the whole Resident Evil franchise storyline with so many spin-offs and remakes, it's pretty hard to predict the whole plot of Requiem. But as per the confirmed storyline so far, players will fill in the shoes of Grace, who will embark upon his horrifying journey of investigating her mother, Alyssa's murder at the Wrenwood Hotel.
It is also known that some of the storyline is set in the backdrop of Raccoon City. So, it can easily be said that Requiem is going to take players back to 2003 when it all started in Outbreak.
Resident Evil pre-order details

Despite so many details being revealed by Capcom including the exact release date, the pre-order date is yet to be announced by Capcom. As the game has just been announced recently, players might need to be patient for a bit longer as we are still about eight months far from the game's release.

Did Kylie Jenner Just Hint At A Split From Timothée Chalamet Through Her Playlist?

Last Updated: Kylie Jenner's emotional Instagram playlist has sparked rumors of a split from Timothée Chalamet after two years of dating. Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been one of Hollywood's most intriguing pairings since the two went public with their relationship in January 2023. The unlikely romance between the beauty mogul and the Oscar-nominated actor quickly became a pop culture fixation, with every public appearance dissected and every whisper about their next move making headlines. Over the past two years, their relationship appeared to be deepening, with sources claiming the couple was 'seriously considering marriage." But now, the narrative has taken an unexpected turn. Over the weekend, Kylie sent the internet into a frenzy with what many believe to be a subtle—but pointed—hint about trouble in paradise. The clue? A carefully curated playlist posted to her Instagram Stories on August 9 that's left fans playing amateur detectives. The Playlist That Sparked the Speculation Among the tracks Kylie shared was Lover, You Should've Come Over, the achingly beautiful ballad from Jeff Buckley's iconic 1994 album Grace. Known for its raw vulnerability and aching sense of longing, the song speaks of love that's just out of reach—a choice that, in the current context, feels more like a confession than casual listening. Another selection was Labi Siffre's Crying Laughing Loving Lying, a 1972 single with deceptively upbeat instrumentation masking lyrics about holding oneself together in the face of emotional strain. Taken together, the songs seem to tell a story—one of absence, yearning, and quiet emotional turbulence. For fans, the timing was hard to ignore. Kylie and Timothée have not been photographed together for more than a month. Their last public sighting was during a luxurious yacht vacation in St. Tropez, South of France, where they appeared relaxed and affectionate. Since then, there has been radio silence on the public front. Distance and Absence Part of the reason may simply be logistical. Timothée is currently in Prague shooting the highly anticipated Dune: Messiah, the sequel to Denis Villeneuve's blockbuster Dune films. The production schedule is said to be intense, leaving little time for extended visits. But in the high-stakes world of celebrity relationships, physical distance can sometimes breed uncertainty—and fans are quick to connect the dots when the music aligns with the mood. Interestingly, Kylie only began following Timothée on Instagram in early July, a move that surprised many given how private they've kept their romance online. Up until that point, they had largely avoided posting about each other, with most of their relationship glimpses coming from paparazzi shots and event appearances. The Black Bralette Moment If the playlist wasn't enough to stir speculation, Kylie doubled down—intentionally or not—just hours earlier by posting a sultry carousel of photos. Dressed in a black bralette and matching pants, she posed with a glass of red wine, flaunting her toned abs and confident energy. The caption read, 'last friday as a 27 year old," a nod to her birthday on August 10, when she turns 28. To some, the post was simply a celebration of her last days in her twenties. To others, paired with the melancholy playlist, it felt like a reassertion of independence—a subtle reminder that Kylie Jenner is her own brand, relationship or not. No Official Word… Yet Despite the growing chatter, neither Kylie nor Timothée has made any public statement addressing the breakup rumors. For now, the evidence is circumstantial: a poignant playlist, an absence of recent joint appearances, and the fact that in celebrity culture, fans are adept at mining meaning from even the smallest detail. Their relationship has never been the type to play out on social media in grand declarations. Instead, it's been marked by carefully chosen public moments—whether walking hand-in-hand at the Golden Globes afterparty or vacationing in Europe. That's perhaps why any shift, even one as subtle as a song choice, feels loaded with significance to observers. A Timeline of Romance and Rumors Kylie and Timothée's romance first made headlines in January 2023. The pairing seemed unlikely to some—she, the cosmetics empire founder and reality TV star; he, the French-American indie darling and red carpet chameleon. But the two were spotted together at music festivals, fashion events, and intimate dinners, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about couples of the year. By mid-2024, rumors of an engagement began circulating, with anonymous sources suggesting they were discussing a long-term future together. While neither confirmed those reports, their frequent vacations and public appearances fueled the image of a couple in sync. Now, with this latest chapter, fans are left wondering if the fairytale has hit a pause—or an ending. Is Kylie simply missing her partner while he's away, or is the playlist a subtle break-up communiqué disguised in album art and lyrical longing? For now, it's all speculation. But in the age of social media sleuthing, a playlist is never just a playlist—especially when it belongs to Kylie Jenner. Zach Cregger Thanks David Fincher In The Credits Of Weapons During an interview with Variety, Zach Cregger revealed why David Fincher's name was in the credits of Weapons. Talking about the helpful inputs Fincher gave during the making of the film, the Barbarian director stated, 'He's just a very helpful guy. He was available to me during prep, and then he was very available during the post-process." He added, 'He (Fincher) watched the movie and had a lot of really constructive thoughts and gave me a tonne of ideas. He helped me learn more about the editing process and how to think about it in a new way that wasn't available to me when I was making 'Barbarian'. So he just opened my mind up a lot." Cregger further explained that Fincher had helped him in various things, including reframing, stabilisation, and ADR. 'Honestly, I learnt a lot about how to prep and what lenses to use," he recalled. Set in a small town, Weapons tells the story of a class full of kids vanishing mysteriously one day, making the townspeople increasingly furious that police have no leads. The narrative of the film follows several locals, including the troubled teacher whose class went missing, a cop, a parent of a missing kid, and a young burglar, as they get pulled into the central mystery. The cast includes Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Cary Christopher, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. Zach Cregger Talks About Upcoming Film Resident Evil Talking about his upcoming project, Resident Evil, Cregger shared that the movie is going to recreate the tense, survival-horror atmosphere of the game. 'Those games pioneered something special. The pacing of those games is so unique and effective, and just being locked in with one character moving from point A to point B, knowing you're going to pass through this gauntlet of terror, and you've got to be methodical and thoughtful about it," Cregger shared. 'So I want to tell the story in the world of the games that honours the lore of the games, but it's a new story," he added. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Did Kylie Jenner Hint at Her Breakup with Timothée Chalamet After 2 Years of Dating? Find Out

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been in the spotlight since they officially began dating. It's been two years, and the couple seemed to be moving forward in their relationship, with reports indicating that they were considering marriage. However, recent news suggests otherwise. Kylie's new playlist hints that there may be trouble in paradise. Did Kylie Jenner Hint at Her Breakup with Timothée Chalamet? According to the Daily Mail, Kylie Jenner shared her recent surprising playlist on August 9. The 27-year-old revealed in her Instagram stories that she had been listening to a series of breakup songs. She played Jeff Buckley's Lover, You Should've Come Over from his iconic 1994 album Grace, a song that expresses feelings of longing for a lover who is absent. Kylie posted screenshots of the songs she was listening to, which caught attention after she and her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, had not been seen together for nearly a month. She also shared a screenshot of British singer-songwriter Labi Siffre's 1972 single Crying Laughing Loving Lying, which, despite its upbeat music, features lyrics about struggling to keep oneself together. It's been over a month since Kylie was last photographed with Timothée while they were vacationing on a yacht in St. Tropez, South of France. As Timothée is busy shooting the highly anticipated sequel Dune: Messiah in Prague, Kylie might be feeling his absence, which could explain her choice of songs. Interestingly, Kylie surprised fans by following Timothée on Instagram in early July, after initially keeping their relationship mostly off social media. While breakup rumors are swirling online, both Kylie and Timothée have not commented on any developments regarding their relationship. Just hours before sharing her playlist, Kylie posted a series of stunning photos of herself in a black bralette and pants, showcasing her toned midriff and curves while holding a glass of red wine. In the caption, she wrote, "last friday as a 27 year old." For those who may not know, Kylie Jenner is turning 28 on Sunday, August 10. Kylie and Timothée started dating in January 2023, quickly drawing attention after making several public appearances together.
