Trump Claims that FIFA Club World Cup Trophy to Remain in Oval Office
On Monday, US President Donald Trump claimed that the Club World Cup trophy will remain in the Oval Office.
He added that FIFA made a copy of the trophy that was awarded to Chelsea after their win in the tournament's final on Sunday.
Trump attended the final along with members of his cabinet and FIFA president, Gianni Infantino.
Both jointly presented the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James, with Trump staying front and center despite the apparent confusion of Chelsea players and the pleading of Infantino.
Infantino unveiled the Club World Cup trophy for the first time in an event at the Oval Office in March, and the trophy has stayed there for all subsequent events in the historic space since.
'I said, When are you going to pick up the trophy? [They said] 'We're never going to pick it up. You can have it forever in the Oval Office. We're making a new one,'' Trump said in an interview Dazn on Sunday.
'And they actually made a new one. So that was quite exciting, but it is in the Oval [Office] right now.'

Zamalek sign Swedish-Palestinian winger Adam Kaied on free transfer - Egyptian Football
Zamalek have signed Swedish-Palestinian winger Adam Kaied on a free transfer, the Egyptian club announced on Sunday. The 23-year-old joins on a three-year deal after the expiration of his contract with Dutch side NAC Breda, where he spent the past two-and-a-half seasons. Kaied made 17 appearances in all competitions last season for Breda, scoring once. Born in Sweden to Palestinian parents, he represented Sweden at youth level before switching allegiance to Palestine, for whom he has earned two senior caps. He becomes Zamalek's fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of goalkeeper El-Mahdi Soliman, Angolan winger Chico Banza, and Pharco FC attacking duo Amr Nasser and Ahmed Sherif. The club have also extended the contract of veteran playmaker Abdallah El-Saed for two more seasons and are close to signing NBE midfielder Ahmed Rabie. Zamalek are rebuilding their squad after a disappointing campaign last season, which saw them finish third in the Egyptian Premier League and exit the CAF Confederation Cup in the quarter-finals. The new league season is scheduled to begin in August. (For more sports news and updates, follow Ahram Online Sports on Twitter at @AO_Sports and on Facebook at AhramOnlineSports.) NBE Club sign winger Shalaby from Zamalek in swap deal - Egyptian Football
Egyptian Premier League side NBE Club have signed winger Mostafa Shalaby from Zamalek in a swap deal that will see midfielder Ahmed Rabie move in the opposite direction. As part of the agreement, NBE also acquired right back Sayed Abdallah from Zamalek, while the Cairo giants will gain the services of Rabie ahead of the new season. The 30-year-old joined Zamalek from Enppi in October 2022 but he failed to impress during his three seasons at the club. He made 102 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 15 assists. During his spell at Zamalek, Shalaby helped the team win the CAF Confederation Cup, the CAF Super Cup, and the Egyptian Cup.
