‘The Real Husbands Of Hollywood' Reunite At 2025 BET Awards
They're baaaaacckkkk! 2025 BET Awards host Kevin Hart's return to the network has brought about a reunion fans have been waiting for, as the comic linked up with Real Husbands Of Hollywood co-stars Boris Kodjoe, Nick Cannon, newlywed Robin Thicke, JB Smoove, Chris Spencer, and Duane Martin. The skit begins with Hart sitting backstage as Cannon enters the green room to tease the show's host a bit, just before the rest of the crew stroll in to meet their brothers in satire. They then debate who is the best father between them, with Hart calling Cannon a 'tribe leader' due to his 12 children. The spot, sponsored by Wal-Mart, also featured the dapper gentlemen opening up gift bags from Hart, with the comic gifting Thicke, the only White cast mate, seasoning. Yup, good 'ol Lawrys. After a bit more teasing amongst the men, they then walk Kev back out on stage and continue to riff on one another. Lil Wayne Performs 'Welcome To The Carter,' 'A Milli' At 2025 BET Awards
Lil Wayne lit up the stage at the 2025 BET Awards with a performance that was equal parts spiritual, nostalgic, and electrifying—perfectly in sync with the show's 25th anniversary celebration of Black culture and excellence. A powerful introduction set the tone, with a woman's voice ringing out through the venue: 'Through the Carter, his legend grew.' As tribal drums thundered, a choir dressed in red robes chanted 'King Carter,' signaling that a moment was underway. Dressed in black shades, a hat, and clutching his customary cup, Lil Wayne emerged like royalty. Kicking things off with 'Welcome To The Carter,' he moved the crowd with heartfelt bars including: 'Family first, family second, family third.' The energy shifted when he launched into 'A Milli,' the stadium-shaking classic that 'turned the crowd up and the clock back.' As the beat dropped, Wayne swayed across the stage and engaged the audience with his signature swagger and gratitude, closing with, 'Thank you. God bless you all.' Wayne's performance came hot on the heels of the release of Tha Carter VI, the newest installment of his iconic album series. The project, which has drawn mixed reactions from fans and critics, features an eclectic lineup of collaborators including BigXthaPlug, Jay Jones, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, Bono, 2 Chainz, Andrea Bocelli, Wyclef Jean, Mannie Fresh, MGK, Kodak Black, and Wayne's sons Kameron Carter and Lil Novi. Introduced by host Kevin Hart, the set by Wayne wasn't just a performance—it was a reminder of his undeniable legacy. 'Wayne stay timeless, he'll never die,' echoed the woman's voice, and by night's end, no one in the building would disagree Watch Lil Wayne's BET Awards 2025 performance below. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr. Open ‘Hamilton' Medley With Original Cast at Tony Awards
There are a million things Alexander Hamilton hasn't done, but reuniting the original cast of the Broadway blockbuster Hamilton isn't one. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Ariana DeBose, and others took the stage at the 2025 Tony Awards in celebration of the musical's 10th anniversary. With the cast dressed in elegant black suits and gowns, the original Hamilton cast earned a standing ovation for their stellar performance of a medley of songs from the musical. It opened with Miranda and Odom Jr., who sang 'Non-Stop.' The rest of the cast joined in for their parts throughout the rapid-fire medley, which included 'My Shot,' 'The Schuyler Sisters,' 'Guns and Ships,' 'You'll Be Back,' and 'Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down.)' It also segued through 'The Room Where It Happens' and 'Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story' before the finale of 'Alexander Hamilton.' Later this year, Odom will reprise his roll as Aaron Burr for much longer than a few minutes. For 12 weeks this fall, he will return to the cast in what he has called 'a deeply meaningful homecoming.' 'I'm so grateful for the chance to step back into the room — especially during this anniversary moment and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many,' Odom shared earlier this year. Hamilton opened on Broadway on Aug. 6, 2015. The musical has earned 11 Tony Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, a Grammy Award, and an Olivier. The original cast recording became the first Broadway album to be certified diamond by the RIAA. In 2016, the Hamilton cast performed 'History Has Its Eyes on You,' 'Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down),' and 'The Schuyler Sisters' at the Tony Awards. The reunion follows the recent cancellation of a Hamilton run scheduled at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. 'The Kennedy Center was not created in this spirit, and we're not going to be a part of it while it is the Trump Kennedy Center. We're just not going to be part of it,' Miranda said earlier this year. 'We are not acting against his administration, but against the partisan policies of the Kennedy Center as a result of his recent takeover,' Hamilton producer Jeffery Seller wrote in a statement at the time. 'Political disagreement and debate are vital expressions of democracy. These basic concepts of freedom are at the very heart of Hamilton. However, some institutions are sacred and should be protected from politics.'
