"On 22 April 2025, the nation witnessed a dastardly and brutal act of violence where five terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians in the name of religion. This incident occurred in the serene meadows of Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, where the tourists had gone to celebrate life with fervor. This incident fortified the resolve of our country to fight terror with punitive action," reads a text captioned 'Pahalagam'.
The text is accompanied with photographs of the aftermath of the attack, rows of coffins and of the emotional farewell at a funeral of one of the victims.

The strike was conducted on May 7 from 1.05 am to 1.30 am under Operation Sindoor and it was launched to deliver justice to the victims of the
Pahalgam terror attack
and their families, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Col Sofiya Qureshi told a press conference hours after the military action.
At 1.44 am that day, the government, in a statement, underlined that India has demonstrated "considerable restraint" in the selection of targets and method of execution and that "no Pakistani military facilities have been targeted".
Shortly after, the Indian Army's social media handles carried a message with a poster.
Along with the message "#PahalgamTerrorAttack Justice is Served. Jai Hind!" the Indian Army's 1.51 am X post carried the poster that was concise in words but heavy on symbolism.
The poster had 'OPERATION SINDOOR' written on it with a small bowl carrying vermilion (worn by married Hindu women) forming the first 'O' of the second word while the second 'O' had a dash of the powder around it.
Since then, the Indian Army has come up with several thematic short videos on social media platforms that have been widely shared and appreciated.
All these videos were made in-house, by the Social Media Section of the Indian Army's Additional Directorate General of Strategic Communication, sources in the military establishment said.

on Sunday said that Operation Sindoor was not just a military mission, but "the face of a changing India" that reflects the country's resolve, courage, and growing strength on the global stage.
Addressing his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister termed Operation Sindoor as a turning point in the global fight against terror and a symbol of India's growing strength and clarity of purpose.

568 Agniveers inducted into Indian Army after PoP at MEG
Chennai, June 5 (UNI) The iconic Govindaswamy Drill Square at the Madras Engineer Group and Centre in Bengaluru resonated with pride and precision as it hosted the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fifth batch of Agniveers. A total of 568 Agniveers proudly marked the culmination of their rigorous training in a grand ceremonial event, symbolizing their transition into the Indian Army amidst the ongoing Operation Sindoor, a defence release here today said. The celebrations reflected the indomitable spirit, discipline, and commitment of the Madras Sappers. The ceremonial parade, a visual spectacle of military decorum, saw Agniveers clad in ceremonial attire, blue 'Dooptas', gold and maroon jari bands, and pristine white spats, marching with impeccable precision to the stirring tunes of the military band. The performance was a testament to the high standards of training imparted by the Centre, and to the core values of excellence upheld by the Madras Sappers. The event was reviewed by Brigadier Ajay Singh Thakur, Commandant, Madras Engineer Group and Centre, who commended the Agniveers on their outstanding display of drill and professionalism. Addressing the parade, he lauded the young soldiers for their dedication and readiness to serve the nation with honour and pride. A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the 'Gaurav Padak' to the proud parents of the Agniveers. In a moving gesture, parents were invited to adorn their sons with the rank insignia of 'Thambi Sapper', marking a deeply emotional moment of transformation from trainee to soldier. 659 Agniveers graduate out of MLIRC in Belagavi
As many as 659 Agniveers passed out of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) in Belagavi on Thursday. The fifth batch of Agniveer under the Agnipath scheme witnessed the culmination of training. A ceremonial attestation parade with full military traditions was organised at MLIRC. As many as 659 Agniveers were attested after their successful completion of 31 weeks of training. The attestation parade of the Agniveers was reviewed by Commandant of MLIRC Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee who applauded the Agniveers for their immaculate turnout and very high standards of drill. The parade was commanded by Agniveer Gajanan Rathod, while Lt. Col. Digvijay Singh was the parade adjutant. The Agniveers took the Oath of Affirmation in presence of the national flag, the regimental flag and holy religious books in an impressive ceremony witnessed by parents of the Agniveers, serving and retired fraternity of the regiment, dignitaries of Belagavi, cadets of NCC and the young students of various schools. The pride with which the Agniveers took oath made the ceremony even more impressive. Addressing the newly attested Agniveers, the reviewing officer reminded them of the rich heritage and the glory of MLIRC as one of the oldest Infantry regiments of the Indian Army. He also stressed upon the importance of discipline and physical fitness in a soldier's life. He exuded the confidence in the training given at the Regimental Centre and said that it will stand the young soldiers in good stead before wishing them the very best in their future assignments. The reviewing officer also awarded medals to meritorious Agniveers for excelling in different spheres of training. Naik Yashwant Ghadge Victoria Cross Medal for overall Best Agniveer was awarded to Agniveer Kaple Krishnat. The attestation parade concluded with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Sharqat War Memorial to pay respects to the bravehearts of the regiment by the reviewing officer and the Agniveers. The proud parents of the Agniveers were also felicitated with Gaurav Padak to honor them for motivating their wards to serve the nation, according to a release.
