Titans 2025 NFL schedule release live updates: Leaks, time, opponents
After finishing 3-14 in 2024 and earning the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Titans will earn the benefit of playing a last-place schedule in 2025, meaning they'll face one of the least difficult strengths of schedule in the NFL. Ward, coach Brian Callahan and company will face opponents from the AFC South, AFC West and NFC West as well as single games against New England, New Orleans and Cleveland.

Has the full NFL schedule been leaked?
Based on leaks across the internet and social media, the folks at ProGrid seem to think they've got the entire 2025 NFL schedule figured out. This schedule would have the Titans playing zero primetime games and starting the year with a brutal stretch that includes matchups against the Broncos, Rams, Texans and Cardinals in the first five weeks. The bye would come in the second week of November.

6 p.m. Wednesday: One hour to go
One hour left before schedule announcements become official and there are plenty of rumored Titans leaks to examine. Most notably, a couple of leaks of the Patriots' schedule has the Titans welcoming former coach Mike Vrabel back to town in Week 7 for a mid-season showdown. We'll see the full schedule be released here very soon.
4 p.m. Wednesday: Chiefs game late in year?
A reported leak of the Kansas City Chiefs' schedule has the Titans hosting Patrick Mahomes and company in Week 16, albeit on an unknown day and time. Given the fact that Week 16 will make up the games the week before Christmas and the Chiefs are booked to play on Christmas, this game could end up being pushed on the earlier side.
2:35 p.m. Wednesday: No 'Thursday Night Football' in primetime?
For the second straight year, it would appear that the Titans aren't going to play a Thursday Night game on Amazon Prime Video. Per a leak to OzzyNFL, the Titans are not included in the TNF schedule for 2025. That means the Titans' only options for primetime are Sunday night and Monday night.
2:15 p.m. Wednesday: A December trip out west?
The OzzyNFL account on social media is reporting the Titans will visit the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15, a matchup that would fall in the week of Sunday, Dec. 14. If this is the case, the Titans would be playing in a relatively warmer-weather climate in one of the team's final road trips.
12:30 p.m. Wednesday: Rams schedule leak includes Titans info
The OzzyNFL account on social media is reporting a leak of the Los Angeles Rams' schedule, which includes the Rams coming to Nashville to face the Titans in Week 2. If that is the case, Cam Ward's home opener in front of the Tennessee Titans faithful will be on Sept. 14 against Matthew Stafford and a group of contenders from the NFC.
11:30 a.m. Wednesday: What we know about NFL schedule so far
A little more than 20% of the league's schedule for 2025 has already been announced or is rumored via leaks and reports. The only Titans game that's been reported thus far is the Week 1 matchup in Denver, but other teams ― especially big-market contenders ― have had 5-10 games leaked or announced.
10 a.m. Wednesday: NFL schedule leak analysis
Some of the teams with the most announcements and leaks/rumors that have come out prior to the schedule release are the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars. Leaks have the Jaguars playing six games in the first seven weeks against opponents that aren't the Titans, so it might take a little while for that rivalry to be renewed. As for the Chiefs, they're bogarting all the games on holidays and special occasions, so the Titans can draw the Chiefs just about any time, seemingly as long as the game isn't nationally televised in primetime.
8 a.m. Wednesday: Titans schedule misses holidays, foreign trips
Just about every Christmas, Thanksgiving and international game has been fully announced at this point, and the Titans aren't on any list. So if you were budgeting for an overseas trip or trying to get out of spending time with your family on two major holidays, both look like they're coming up empty.
Titans opening day opponent leaks? Matchup with Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Per a report from FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz, the Titans will open the year in Denver against Bo Nix and the Broncos, a playoff team a year ago. The game will mark Cam Ward's NFL debut, and it's a welcome move for the Titans to make the trip to Denver this early in the season to avoid any potential bad weather situations in the Mile High City in November or December.
NFL schedule leaks: Keep this tab saved
If you're looking for an invaluable resource during schedule leak season, check out this page compiled at progrid.org. All of the confirmed games on the schedule are put in a neat, team-by-team spreadsheet, as well as some of the leaks that get reported through the days. The color coding helps, so don't worry about getting fooled by confirmed games standing alongside leaks.
NFL international slate announced
The NFL announced which games will be played overseas early Tuesday morning, and the Titans aren't on the docket this year. Keep an eye out for next year, maybe.
Pay attention to these times
The NFL's broadcast partners (NBC, CBS, FOX, Amazon, ESPN and Netflix) will be announcing the days and times of select games ahead of time. Check out the following guide for when early schedule announcements will be made.
Week 1 opener announced: Cowboys vs Eagles
The first game of the NFL season will feature the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles hosting their rival Dallas Cowboys. The Titans don't play either team this year, and even if they did, it's hard to imagine the NFL wanting to put the Titans in primetime to start the season. So don't consider this one much of a surprise.
What time is NFL schedule release?
The NFL will formally announce its full schedule for the 2025 season at 7 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday.
What channel is NFL schedule release on?
The NFL schedule release will be televised on the NFL Network. But for fans who prefer to see only their team's schedule revealed, announcements will be made on social media.

Matthew Stafford practices with Rams in QB's first team workout of preseason
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Matthew Stafford practiced with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, marking the quarterback's first workout with the team this preseason after having been unable to do so because of a sore back. Stafford, 37, took first-team reps during the session and did not speak to reporters afterward. Coach Sean McVay said it was too soon to know what the session means for Stafford's status going forward. 'I think that would be putting the cart way before the horse,' McVay said. 'I thought he did a good job today, and we had 26 plays of team (with Stafford), and (he) did a really nice job of managing the huddle. I thought he saw the field well. I thought he went where the balls would go, and there's some good competitive work on both sides today.' McVay has repeatedly declined to put any timeline on Stafford's availability, doing so again on Monday, after having initially said in July his starting quarterback would miss the first part of training camp. The Rams open the regular season on Sept. 7 by hosting the Houston Texans. 'I'm not going to pigeonhole myself into any plans,' McVay said. 'And so we're just really seeing how he feels. We're really taking it a day at a time and a week at a time right now.' While McVay said he was treating Monday's practice as another day, teammates were visibly excited to have the veteran going into his 17th season on the field. Stafford has led the team into the playoffs in three of his four seasons in Los Angeles, including winning the Super Bowl in the 2021 season. 'I think this group brings energy every day. I think that certainly was something that guys felt good about. Like, what I want to make sure is, let's just take it a day at a time. This represents a great opportunity that he wanted to be out there and do what he did today, and then we'll see what tomorrow really takes.' ___ AP NFL:

New NFL crocs look cozy but have have 1 major flaw
The NFL has announced a multiyear licensing deal with the footwear company Crocs, which should allow for some comfortable Sunday viewing sessions. Many sports fans and players, including Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, enjoy wearing Crocs. Earlier this year, Las Vegas Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty showed up to the 2025 NFL Draft wearing the crystal-covered clogs. 'The Crocs brand has made a significant impact on footwear culture with their shoes becoming synonymous with ease and comfort,' said Ryan Samuelson, vice president of consumer products at the NFL. 'Collaborating with Crocs allows us to give fans expanded gameday options that will keep them stylishly comfortable for gameday and every day.' The original release, which will drop on September 18 for $84.99, will feature 14 NFL teams. The initial line includes the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, and Denver Broncos. Many of them look normal and inoffensive and seem perfectly suited for a casual hang: Some of them, like the pair for the Cowboys, look fairly normal. But the attached Jibbitz™ charms for the Bears, Bills, and Vikings are a bit more odd. These shoes should not have horns! Aside from aesthetic issues, that would make it quite difficult to walk. Similarly, the shoes for the Bears should not have claws. That was a bold decision that isn't working. If these are detachable, there's less of an issue. But if this is a permanent part of the shoe, it's a glaring problem for anyone who hopes to take themselves seriously.

Colts coach weighs in on Indianapolis signing CB Xavien Howard
Colts' DC Lou Anarumo weighs in on the team signing former All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard. As the Indianapolis Colts continue to navigate injuries at cornerback, the team is signing former All-Pro Xavien Howard to boost their depth at the position. Current Colts' defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo is familiar with Howard. A second overall pick by Miami in 2016, Anarumo was Howard's defensive backs coach for his first two NFL seasons and part of the pre-draft evaluation process. The thing about Howard's game that has stood out the most to Anarumo is his ball production. After not logging an interception as a rookie, Howard tallied 29 of them between the 2017 and 2023 seasons. He's also forced 95 pass deflections in his career. "Well, I know X from his college days," Anarumo said on Monday, via Locked on Colts. "We drafted him when I was a coach at Miami. I was around them during that process, around him his first two years of his career. So the one thing about him that always jumped off the tape ot me when he was at Baylor, the reason why he was drafted so high is he can go get the ball and he's proven that throughout his NFL career, that he's been an elite interceptor. "So we're hoping that we'll give him some time to get back and get back into football shape because that takes a while. But hoping that we can get some of those interceptions going." Howard is now 32 years old and didn't play in the NFL last season. So his last regular-season snaps came in 2023. However, Anarumo doesn't have any concerns about Howard's time off or where he's at in his career. "Last year with the Bengals, we worked him out back in December," Anarumo said. "So you've seen him move a little bit and look good and I just feel good about the athlete that he is. And maybe you could look at it as his legs got a year off to rest. So one thing I know is his ball skills and those things, they don't go away with time, and he still has those." Howard is joining the Colts late in the offseason, but his past experience and being able to operate in a variety of different defensive schemes should help him acclimate quickly to Anarumo's defense. "Well, he's played a lot of football," Anarumo added. "He's played in a lot of systems over the course of his career. So while we may call it a little bit something different than what he's used to, he'll just equate it to the things he knows. And I don't think there's going to be anything where it's like, okay, this is totally different. So I think he'll pick it up pretty quick." The starting cornerback spot opposite of Charvarius Ward still seems to be up for grabs at this point, with the Colts having to work through injuries at this position.
