Tirelo Kale spills the tea on her parents' refusal of Mpumelelo Mseleku's proposal

Izingane Zes'thembu's Tirelo Kale shares her emotional journey following the rejection of Mpumelelo Mseleku's lobola proposal by her parents. Image: Instagram Mpumelelo Mseleku, the son of renowned businessman and polygamist Musa Mseleku, shocked many viewers when he paid lobola for his second girlfriend, 21-year-old Amahle Casela, before his first girlfriend, Tirelo Kale. On the latest episode of 'Izingane Zes'thembu', which aired on Sunday, July 13, Mseleku visited the Casela family with his uncles to pay lobola (bride price), leaving Kale in the dark. Following in his polygamist father's footsteps, Mseleku has also started his journey by paying lobola for his second girlfriend. This automatically makes her the first wife, despite Kale being in the picture first. Kale was left feeling upset upon discovering that the second girlfriend would be getting married before her. During the episode, Mseleku revealed that the reason Casela will become the first wife is that Kale's parents did not allow the lobola negotiations to start. Video Player is loading. Next Stay Close ✕ Kale recently addressed her fans on Instagram Live, discussing her parents' rejection of Mseleku's lobola proposal. The 25-year-old's parents cited concerns about her incomplete qualification, unemployment, and the relationship issues she and Mseleku have as reasons for their decision. In an interview with 'Independent Media Lifestyle', leading up to the airing of the reality TV show, Kale opened up about the cracks forming in her relationship with Mseleku. The young mother candidly discussed her turbulent relationship with Mseleku, revealing that she was unaware of the cracks forming. 'I honestly didn't see the cracks forming in our relationship,' she said. 'It really seemed solid until it wasn't. The betrayal … wow, I genuinely didn't expect it,' she said. Since the reality show aired, Mseleku and Kale's relationship has been more rocky than rosy, marked by constant disagreements. Mseleku's growing focus on his new relationship with Casela has seemingly taken centre stage, leaving Kale feeling neglected and abandoned, further straining their already tumultuous partnership.

It's a wrap: A look inside Muvhango's final day of filming

The final episode of Muvhango will air in August. Behind the scenes of Muvhango. Picture: Instagram/@muvhangosa SABC's first Tshivenda language soap opera, Muvhango, has officially wrapped production after almost three decades on air. On Thursday, the long-running soapie shared a behind-the-scenes video on social media, giving fans a glimpse into the cast's emotional final day on set. 'I am really emotional since it's the last day. I'm going to miss everybody, including all the departments,' said cast member Wavhudi Lidzengu. Lidzengu joined Muvhango nearly a decade ago at just 17, playing the role of Vhutshilo Mukwevho. Debuting in 1997, Muvhango made history as South Africa's first Tshivenda-language soap opera. It quickly became a cultural staple and a celebration of the indigenous language on mainstream TV. The final episode will air next month, on 8 August. Speaking about the show's cancellation last month, creator and executive producer Duma Ndlovu said it had been a privilege and an honour to create television moments that placed marginalised languages at their centre. 'Muvhango gave an opportunity to an ignored language that has become one of the most celebrated in South Africa now,' he added. SABC CEO Nomsa Chabeli confirmed the news in May, stating that the show would help the channel regain audience share. 'Come August, we are launching a new telenovela called Pimville on SABC2, and based on that, we will be really driving that audience share back to SABC2. 'We're working hard to ensure that the script is relevant and that the storyline does what we need it to do,' she told TV with Thinus. 'Why would I lie?': Sarah Langa defends her baby bum cream skincare hack

Sarah Langa swears she uses baby bum cream as part of her skincare routine. Image: Instagram / sarahlanga South African content creator Sarah Langa recently let her followers in on one of her top skincare hacks, but not everyone is buying it. During a Q&A on her social media, Langa revealed that she uses Bepanthen cream as a night mask to hydrate her face because of her extremely dry skin. But instead of applause, she was met with a wave of disbelief. After dropping her skincare secret, her DMs started flooding with messages from people accusing her of hiding the real truth. 'Do you think I would lie if I was using Chanel skincare? If I had some secret potion from like a fancy brand, would I not want to tell you?' she says in her TikTok clip. 'I'm not lying to you. I'm telling you the truth. I'm using baby bum cream on my face. Why would I lie about something like that?' she continues. Video Player is loading. Despite the scepticism, it turns out she isn't the only one slathering the baby product on her face. Judging by the comments on her video, plenty of people are already in on the baby cream beauty hack. 'I've been using Bepanthen on my face and lips for over 3 years, sana it does wonders for a smooth skin barrier,' one follower shared. Another added: 'I've been using Bepanthen on my lips and face, even as a hand cream for the past 8 years or so now! It's honestly the best!' The conversation even turned to the idea that good skin doesn't have to come with a luxury price tag. 'I don't understand what makes people think that using expensive products is the only solution for perfect skin. Guys, I've been using Vaseline on my face my entire life. I legit don't have a skin care routine,' one person commented. The cream, originally formulated as a baby bum cream, has been used for a wide range of skincare needs. It's a go-to for healing fresh tattoos, soothing small cuts or scrapes, and calming mild burns, all thanks to its ability to lock in moisture and protect the skin. So while Langa's tip might have caught some off guard, it turns out that baby cream as skincare isn't so far-fetched after all. Sometimes, the simplest products really do deliver.
