A piece of Formula 1 history is set to hit the auction block in Miami this May. The 2009 Brawn GP F1 car, driven by Jenson Button to secure the F1 Driver's Championship, will be auctioned by Bonhams during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. This car, chassis 001/01, is one of only three vehicles built for the 2009 season and is now available for sale for the first time ever.
The 2009 Brawn GP season remains one of the most remarkable stories in F1 history. After Honda pulled out of the sport in 2008, Ross Brawn purchased the team for a symbolic pound and set about creating a car that would stun the motorsport world. The Brawn GP car, with its groundbreaking "double diffuser" that improved aerodynamics, gave the team an extraordinary advantage. Jenson Button dominated early in the season, winning six of the first seven races, and despite increased competition from other teams, he held on to clinch the title in Brazil.
This particular car, chassis 001/01, was driven by Button's teammate Rubens Barrichello for several races, securing podium finishes at events like Silverstone, Monaco, and Australia. After the season, Button was entitled to one of the Brawn GP cars, but due to a legal dispute with Mercedes, who took over the team, he did not receive it until 2010 after a court order. It was this car that would become the subject of Button's ongoing legal battle.
The car was displayed in various collections, including Button's personal garage, until it was sold to a private collector last year. Now, it is up for auction at Bonhams, though no estimate or opening bid has been shared publicly. With recent championship-winning cars selling for millions, it is expected that this piece of F1 history will fetch a significant amount.

When the 1,500 hp Bugatti Divo was named Robb Report's Best of the Best in the Hypercar category for 2019, we described it as 'a four-wheeled hyperbole . . . as elusive as it is superlative.' Those words are equally relevant today, as the Divo remains a milestone in combining straight-line performance with lateral dynamics. What sets the Divo apart is its 1,005 pounds of downforce—198 pounds more than the Chiron—and lateral acceleration that can deliver 1.6 g. According to Bugatti's press release at the time, these all factor into the Divo beating the Chiron by eight seconds at the Nardò circuit in Italy. To realize this enhanced level of athleticism over the Chiron, the Divo's chassis, steering, and suspension were fine-tuned for greater responsiveness, and aerodynamic improvements included new front and rear diffusors and a wider, adjustable rear spoiler. Fittingly, the model's emphasis on control while being pushed to the extreme is reflected in the selection of its name, an homage to racer Albert Divo. A driver for the marque's factory team from 1928 through 1933, Divo won the Targa Florio endurance race back-to-back during that period. This example of the model has had only two stewards since leaving the factory in Molsheim, France. It has also been showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum's 'Hypercars: The Allure of the Extreme' exhibition, which ran from December of 2021 until May of 2023. In 2024, it was acquired by the consignor, who has ensured that less than 800 miles have been put on the odometer in total. 'Here at Bonhams|Cars, we are delighted to be the first auction house globally to bring to market one of the rarest hypercars ever produced, the Bugatti Divo,' says Bonhams specialist Louis Frankel. 'It is incredibly rare that anyone ever has the opportunity to see one, let alone purchase one, so being able to bring this car to market is hugely exciting.' Yet this Divo is not the only exquisite automotive outlier that Bonhams|Cars will showcase at the Quail Auction during Northern California's upcoming Monterey Car Week. Among the over 100 lots being presented, the Divo is one of 24 cars comprising what Bonhams has dubbed the Future Classics Collection—contemporary apex automobiles—all being offered without reserve. Included in what's estimated to be a roughly $30 million assemblage is a 2021 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport expected to fetch up to $4.25 million, a 2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster with a high-end estimate of $3.6 million, and the 2022 Apollo Intensa Emozione 'Ocean Dragon' valued at between $2.5 million and $3.5 million. Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver explains why Miami added Matthew Judon
Matthew Judon's one-year, $6 million deal with the Miami Dolphins adds even more depth and pass-rushing presence to what is already arguably Miami's deepest and strongest position group. He joins veterans Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips, along with rookie Chop Robinson, forming a formidable collection of sack specialists on the edge. Judon brings 72 career sacks to Miami. The addition of Judon bolsters a front seven that Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver can rotate heavily, pairing his edge rushers with a deep defensive line anchored by team leader Zach Sieler, veteran Benito Jones, and rookies Kenneth Grant and Jordan Phillips. Weaver was all smiles when discussing the Judon addition Tuesday, telling reporters, 'You can't have enough of those guys, right? Cadillac F1 Signs Deal With Driver For The 2026 Season

The Cadillac F1 team has reportedly signed its first driver for its debut season in 2026. The second American team on the grid is currently gearing up for its F1 entry, but the drivers were the missing part of the puzzle. Now though, it appears that one driver has been signed. RacingNews365 reported that Valtteri Bottas, who was strongly linked to the Cadillac F1 team in recent months, has been appointed by the team, and an official announcement will be made next week. Bottas paused his full-time F1 career after parting ways with Sauber following the 2024 season. Since then, he has remained on the sidelines as a Mercedes AMG reserve driver, the team he raced for from 2017 to 2021. Being an F1 veteran, Bottas comes with immense premier class racing experience, having driven for four different teams since his F1 debut in 2013. Cadillac will use Ferrari power units from 2026, which also marks the year when F1 enters a new era of regulations. The cars will be powered equally by two sources- an internal combustion engine running on sustainable fuel and electric power. The team plans to start using its own power units, developed by General Motors, in 2029. Speaking of Cadillac's second driver, it remains to be seen if the team signs former Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez or if it shortlists a young driver. The Mexican driver, who departed Red Bull after the 2024 season, set a condition for his F1 return in the future, suggesting that he would only race if the project appealed to him. Newsweek Sports reported Perez's comments: "I do want to return, but only if the right project comes along, one where I feel I truly belong or should be. I don't want to come back at any cost. I'm not interested in traveling around the world as a third driver or just waiting around for an opportunity. "I feel fortunate for the career I've had, and I do want to come back - because I don't want my career to end like this. But I'm also fully aware that I'll only return if it's truly worth the price you have to pay to be in Formula 1 - 24 races, and an entire life dedicated to the sport."
