'Unreal OMFG Let's Go' — $5.7 billion rich Mark Cuban gives wild reaction after Dallas Mavericks' surprising 2025 NBA Draft Lottery win

Dallas Mavericks
secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery, despite holding just a 1.8% chance. The league was stunned, but no one was more shocked and elated than billionaire entrepreneur and former majority owner
Mark Cuban
. Taking to social media, Cuban shouted what every Mavericks fan must've felt in that moment.
Mark Cuban reacted to the Dallas Mavericks' surprising 2025 NBA Draft Lottery win
Mark Cuban has always been vocal about his stance on the Dallas Mavericks. After the Mavericks' 2025 NBA Draft Lottery win, the billionaire and minority owner of the organization did not hold anything back as he shared his excitement on two wild posts on X. 'Unreal OMFG Let's Go Mavs,' he wrote. Moments later, he followed up with another raw, unfiltered reaction — 'Oh my f***ing God !!!'
Just a few short months ago, the Mavericks looked like a franchise on the verge of implosion. The controversial Luka Doncic trade in February had alienated a large section of the fanbase, and Kyrie Irving's season-ending ACL injury only extended the sense of crisis.
By missing the playoffs, they landed themselves a lottery spot, albeit with extremely low odds. Still, as luck would have it, the numbers fell in their favor. In a lottery system where 11 other teams had better chances, the Mavericks jumped to the top and now sit in the driver's seat for the most talked-about prize of the 2025 draft, Cooper Flagg.
Flagg is being hailed as a generational talent — a two-way forward with the ability to immediately contribute on both ends. Some scouts say he's more NBA-ready than anyone, and his potential to become a long-term cornerstone is exactly the kind of prospect Dallas desperately needs. Suddenly, a team that just months ago was figuring out how to survive without Doncic now holds the rights to perhaps the most valuable asset of the decade.
And now, the Mavericks face a tantalizing fork in the road. They could choose to build their future around Flagg, plugging him into a core that could include a returning Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. According to team insiders, there's growing optimism that Kyrie could be back as early as January. That trio, bolstered by shooters and defenders, could actually offer more balance and depth than the previous Doncic-led era ever achieved.

Or, the Mavericks could go bold — and put the No. 1 pick on the trade block. The mere mention of Giannis Antetokounmpo in connection with that pick has already stirred wild speculation. Mavericks fanbase would be on cloud nine imagining a trio of Kyrie, Davis, and Giannis. Regardless, only time will tell what general manager
Nico Harrison
, who was under constant scrutiny for the Doncic trade, will do with the big lottery win.

‘Thought long and hard…': Nicholas Pooran retires from international cricket at 29

Former West Indies T20I captain Nicholas Pooran made a surprise decision on Tuesday as he announced his retirement from international cricket, aged 29. Pooran, who was recently in action in the IPL 2025 season with the Lucknow Super Giants, mentioned the decision as a 'difficult' one as he shared a note on Instagram. 'To the Cricket Public: After much thought and reflection, I've decided to announce my retirement from International Cricket. This game we love has given and will continue to give so much – joy, purpose, unforgettable memories, and a chance to represent the people of the West Indies. Wearing that maroon, standing for the anthem, and giving everything I had each time I stepped on the field… it's hard to put into words what that truly means to me,' Pooran wrote. The hard-hitting southpaw made his West Indies debut in 2016 and became the team's most capped T20I batter (106) and the highest run-scorer for the side (2275). In only 97 innings, Pooran has smashed 149 T20I sixes, the best for the West Indies and fifth-highest overall. Having amassed over 4000 runs in international cricket, Pooran led the Windies outfit in 17 ODIs and 23 T20Is between 2021 and 2022. From a young boy with a dream to wear the Maroon, to a global star inspiring millions — WI thank you, Nicky P. 🙏🏽 — Windies Cricket (@windiescricket) June 9, 2025 'To have led the team as captain is a privilege I will always hold close to my heart. To the fans – thank you for your unwavering love. You lifted me in the tough moments and celebrated the good ones with unmatched passion. To my family, friends, and teammates, thank you for walking this journey with me. Your belief and support carried me through it all. Though this International chapter of my career closes, my love for West Indies Cricket will never fade. I wish the team and the region nothing but success and strength for the road ahead,' Pooran added. Pooran recently topped the six-hitting charts in the IPL season with 40 maximums, and remains one of the most feared ball-strikers in the franchise circuit. Pooran only follows his Caribbean compatriots Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell in the T20 sixes charts, with a staggering 639 sixes in 398 appearances.

NBA star Draymond Green makes bold claim about Oklahoma City Thunder's Alex Caruso over NBA Finals

NBA star Draymond Green makes bold claim about Oklahoma City Thunder's Alex Caruso over NBA Finals NBA star Draymond Green believes Oklahoma City Thunder's guard Alex Caruso is the team's third most important player, as he's not only experienced, but he's also smart and his defence is pretty good, especially in the NBA Finals, with his power packed performance. Even though Caruso hasn't been able to score top points, he's well aware of how to ensure a win for the team. Draymond Green believes Alex Caruso is Oklahoma City Thunder's solid defense In the latest episode of podcast The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Draymond Green explained the two teams — Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers' solid strategy, that led the former's win against the latter in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. He said: "When I look at this OKC team, I actually think the third-most-important player is Alex Caruso. I think Caruso is so important to what they do and I feel like you never game plan for him, So because you don't have a game plan for him, he comes into these Finals and he goes crazy. But the reality is, he's a champion, so he actually knows what to expect." Draymond Green reacts to Pacers-Thunder Game 2: SGA outshines Haliburton to even NBA Finals at 1-1 He explains, "If I'm an opposing coach, I'm saying 'Caruso's been in this moment, he's shown us over and over again he can deliver in this moment, I'm going to make him so important to our game plan, I'm going to make less of an importance in our game plan to the guy who hasn't done it.' He added, "Place that bet on the guy that hasn't done it, and Chet hasn't done it. I know Caruso can beat me, he's shown he can beat me at several different points. Back then when he won a championship he showed you he can beat you. So I'm just not sure that would be the bet that I would be making." Green said, in the podcast, "He's so important to everything they do, Defensively, he's so important to everything they do. Offensively, he can be another guy that can handle the ball, that's smart, that makes decisions, that's going to shoot the right shots, not take the wrong shots."
