A 19-year-old has died after his electric motorcycle crashed, police have happened near Moorland Avenue in Bedlington, Northumberland, at about 15:00 BST on Friday. Northumbria Police said it involved a black and red Talaria electric motorcycle and no other vehicles were involved, but did not reveal any other detail about the nature of the man was given treatment at the scene but died a short time later, the force said. Teenager killed in e-bike crash
A teenager has been killed in an electric motorbike crash in Northumbria. The 19-year-old man was riding an electric off-road e-bike when he suddenly crashed yesterday afternoon. The emergency crews rushed to the scene near Moorland Avenue in Bedlington at about 3pm. They found the young man seriously hurt after the crash involving his black and red Talaria e-bike. Despite their best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His family has been informed and they are being supported by specialist teams. I knew it must have been something awful as there were two people looking frantic.' Another person said: 'That's so sad. His whole life ahead of him. His poor family.' Electric motorbikes like the Talaria are legal on the UK roads. They are considered motor vehicles, so riders need a licence and insurance. A TEENAGER has died after a horror e-bike crash. Police in Northumberland have launched an urgent investigation following the incident in Bedlington. The 19-year-old died following the crash yesterday afternoon. Cops received reports of a one-vehicle collision involving a black and red Talaria electric motorcycle on Moorland Avenue at around 3pm. The unnamed teenager died shortly after emergency crews arrived at the scene. Sergeant Christopher Herron, of Northumbria Police Roads Policing Unit, said: 'This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the young man who has sadly passed away.
