Wisconsin State Fair reveals 2025 opening-night main stage headliner: Midland
Country rock band Southall will open the July 31 show, the fair announced Wednesday. Tickets, priced at $35 and $49, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at wistatefair.com, and include fair general admission July 31.
Friday at 10 a.m. is also when tickets go on sale for the Aug. 2 main stage fair show with Ne-Yo announced Tuesday.
Tickets are on sale for these other main stage shows, with just two left to be announced: Previously confirmed fair shows include: Boyz II Men (Aug. 1), We The Kingdom (Aug. 4), Kidz Bop (Aug. 5), Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias (Aug. 7), Darius Rucker (Aug. 8), Lynyrd Skynyrd (Aug. 9) and the Happy Together Tour (Aug. 10).
The fair will return July 31 to Aug. 10.

Final day of Wisconsin State Fair canceled due to Aug. 10 storms
The Wisconsin State Fair announced it will be closed on Aug. 10. The State Fair closed early on Aug. 9 and canceled its Lynyrd Skynyrd concert on Aug. 9 due to flash floods. Here is the statement from Wisconsin State Fair about closing on Aug. 10: 'Last night's flash flooding resulted in the early closure of State Fair Park, Wisconsin State Fair officials have determined the Fair Park will not reopen for Sunday, August 10. We understand the disappointment you may feel as our team works all year for these 11 days. However, the safety of our Fairgoers, team, partners, and vendors will always be our top priority. "If you purchased tickets to The 'Happy Together' Tour for the show this evening through Etix, those tickets will be automatically refunded back to the purchaser. "We are saddened we cannot deliver this final day of the Wisconsin State Fair, but know that this is the best decision with current conditions and the forecast ahead.' Wisconsin State Fair cancels Lynyrd Skynyrd performance due to weather, posts message about refunds
The Wisconsin State Fair canceled its main stage act for Saturday, Aug. 9, due to severe weather. Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd was scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. on the Bank Five Nine Main Stage. After a few delays, the show was officially canceled around 8:15 p.m. "While we tried everything within our control to allow this show to go on, for the safety of our artists, team, and Fairgoers, we cannot host this concert," the State Fair announced in a Facebook post. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning around 8 p.m., including Milwaukee, West Allis and Wauwatosa, until 2 a.m., following a flood watch for most of southern Wisconsin earlier in the evening. Tickets for the show purchased through Etix, the official ticket provider of the Wisconsin State Fair, will be refunded in the next 7 to 14 days, the post said. Those who purchased tickets at the State Fair ticket office using cash can visit the ticket office to receive their refund between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, the post said; original tickets and ID must be provided.
