But in happier news, the billionaire heiress revealed she is heading back to work for a new movie, where she is also the executive producer.
Nicola is also acting in new thriller Pretty Ugly, where she will appear alongside Mary Stuart Masterson, 59.
The film, set in North Carolina, centres on a mother and daughter, played by Nicola's co-stars.
The synopsis reveals how their relationship "unravels" with the return of a "provocative makeup influencer," played by Nicola, amid a murder in the area.
Sharing the news, actress Mary wrote on Instagram: "I'm slow to post these things, but I am so proud to be a part of this film.
"I had a (rather intense) ball down in Wilmington, NC with the most amazing crew and cast under the truly inspiring direction of Erica Dunton."
Continuing, she said: "I will have more to say and share about this magical experience later on… you are not going to believe what my movie daughter [Jazzy] and her new friend [Nicola] get up to…"
Revealing her excitement, Nicola replied: "Mary you're so incredible I'm so excited for this."
Nicola's last movie was Lola (2024), which she also wrote and directed.
As the actress enjoys her happy news, tensions within the Beckham clan have been simmering.
Brooklyn Beckham's family rift deepens as he turns back on UK by splashing out £11m on LA mansion with wife Nicola Peltz
Brooklyn recently broke his silence amid ongoing family drama, wishing sister Harper a happy birthday just days after being caught in a so-called 'WW3' rift involving his brothers Romeo and Cruz.
The feud reportedly boiled over after Romeo blocked both Brooklyn and Nicola on Instagram, blindsiding the couple during their holiday.
Sources close to The Sun said: 'They had no idea until they saw it online.'
The situation quickly escalated into a full-blown social media saga.
The Beckham Family Feud
April 2022: Brooklyn marries Nicola Peltz.
Wedding Dress Controversy: Rumours begin circulating that there's tension between Nicola and Victoria Beckham after Nicola chooses not to wear a Victoria Beckham-designed wedding gown. Nicola later clarifies in August 2022 (and again in March 2023) that Victoria's atelier couldn't make the dress in time, but reports in May 2025 suggest Victoria actually changed her mind about making the dress.
Post-Wedding (2022 onwards): Minimal interaction between Nicola and Victoria on social media, and noticeable absence of Nicola at key Beckham family events.
Alleged Wedding "Hijack": In May 2025, a source claimed Victoria "ruined" part of the wedding by allegedly hijacking a dance with Marc Anthony, which was meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. Nicola reportedly ran from the room crying.
March 2025: A resurfaced TikTok of Romeo and Cruz mimicking a "baby voice" (which fans associate with Nicola) sparks speculation of sibling shade.
April 2025: Brooklyn and Nicola are reportedly absent from Victoria Beckham's 51st birthday celebrations in Miami and her Paris Fashion Week show.
May 2025: David Beckham's 50th Birthday Snub: Brooklyn and Nicola are notably absent from David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations in London, despite being invited. Reports suggest their absence was due to Brooklyn not wanting to be in the same room as Kim Turnbull, the girlfriend of Romeo who had previously been reported to have been dating Brooklyn, who David allegedly opted to have at the party over Nicola.
Rumours emerge of a falling out between Brooklyn and his younger brother Romeo, reportedly due to Romeo's new girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull, who allegedly had a past connection with Brooklyn.
Reports surface that the Beckham parents are "hurt and disappointed" that Brooklyn is "playing no part in family life." Sources claim that tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and his parents are "definitely not beyond repair."
June 2025: Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly enlist a "crisis team" similar to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for "reputation management" due to the growing media scrutiny.
Cruz Beckham posts cryptic lyrics on Instagram that some interpret as a swipe at Brooklyn.
July 2025: Reports indicate David and Victoria are "desperate" to reconcile with Brooklyn. Brooklyn publicly wishes his sister Harper a happy 14th birthday on Instagram, tagging Nicola, which is seen as a potential "olive branch" and a rare public message to his family amid the rumored rift.
Brooklyn UNFOLLOWS his brothers Romeo and Cruz just 24 hours after his birthday message to Harper. Nicola quickly follows suit and also ditches the Beckham bros from her Instagram following. Romeo and Cruz are now also no longer following Brooklyn.
Romeo even posting a cryptic message about "walking away" which many interpreted as a dig at his older brother.
Initial reports claimed Brooklyn and Nicola had unfollowed his siblings first, but insiders told The Sun that wasn't the case.
A friend said: 'Brooklyn had no idea about any of this until he read about it online.
'It's possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as no longer following the brothers
'They certainly didn't unfollow them or block them - they're as confused as anyone else.
'The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on.'

CEO of Astronomer resigns after viral kiss cam video
July 19 (Reuters) - The CEO of the technology firm Astronomer Inc. has resigned after being caught canoodling on camera at a rock concert with a woman who was not his wife, the company said on Saturday. The company posted a written statement on its LinkedIn profile stating that its leaders "are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met." The statement said that Andy Byron had offered his resignation as CEO and that the board of directors had accepted it. Byron had been placed on leave on Friday, and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is serving as the interim CEO. Byron and Astronomer's chief people officer Kristin Cabot were caught on camera at the Coldplay concert on Wednesday in Massachusetts in an awkward clip that quickly went viral. A spokesman for the company said that the pair were the only employees of the firm caught on camera. The spokesman did not respond to a request for comment on Cabot's job status. Once Byron and Cabot realized they were being shown on a jumbo screen inside Gillette Stadium as they embraced, Byron ducked out of sight and Cabot covered her face with her hands and spun around. Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin responded by saying "either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." Internet sleuths immediately went to work and identified Byron and Cabot by their social media profiles before the company confirmed their identities.

Baseball commentator makes savage on-air joke about Coldplay kisscam scandal
Baseball broadcaster Jason Benetti made a hilarious reference to the Coldplay kisscam scandal on Friday as Rangers pitcher Chris Martin warmed up on the mound. The internet was set ablaze this week when a man was seen with his arms wrapped around a woman at the band's show in Boston, before both immediately ducked and turned from the cameras after realizing their faces were on the big screen. Coldplay singer Chris Martin joked 'they're either having an affair, or are very shy', and it soon emerged that the pair - identified as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his HR chief Kristin Cabot - were indeed married to other people. On Friday, Benetti was the latest to make light of the situation as he joked about Rangers pitcher Martin having the same name as the British singer. 'CEOs beware, Chris Martin is here,' Benetti quippped as the reliever prepared to enter a game against the Tigers. Fans cracked up at the moment, which came during an eventual 2-0 Rangers win. Love this guy... — CJ Fogler 🫡 (@cjzero) July 19, 2025 'Protect Jason Benetti at all costs,' one wrote on X. 'He's been waiting to use that line!, another said. And a third cracked: 'That's a cold play right there, JB…. ' Benetti's joke came as the Phillies also poked fun at the situation at Citizens Bank Park on Friday. The team held its own kisscam set to Coldplay 's song 'Speed of Sound' - a huge hint at what was to come - as the cameras managed to find some happy couples who shared a kiss. But then the camera cut to the team's two mascots, who were stood in the exact same pose as Byron and Cabot were when they appeared on camera at the concert. The mascots also replicated the pair's attempted escape act from cameras, as the Philly crowd burst out laughing. The jumbotron operator then found another fan somewhere in the crowd who had come prepared with his own take on the viral moment. The male fan proudly held a sign aloft that read 'this is my wife', with the 'is' underlined for effect. On Saturday, billion-dollar software company Astronomer announced Byron's resignation in a statement. 'As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,' the statement said. 'Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.'

Pedro Pascal sparks fan frenzy after dumping mystery liquid from cup in public
Pedro Pascal sent fans into a frenzy after he was seen dumping out a mystery liquid following a gym session in L.A. on Friday. The Last Of Us star, 50 - who has been busy promoting his upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps - poured out what was left inside a paper cup next to nearby plants. While it appeared to be black coffee, some social media users debated the topic over on X underneath photos of the moment. One penned, 'It looks like a black coffee, I don't blame him for tossing it onto the plants. Black coffee has a rather bitter taste if it's not made from high quality coffee beans. I drink A LOT of coffee'. Another typed, 'Also yes idk if it's coffee or a protein shake cause I haven't ever had either so forgive me if I'm wrong. Either way it's funny'. 'Maybe he's pouring the grounds into the planter to compost,' a fan suggested, while one replied with, 'It's a lot of liquid he pours out'. An X user shared, 'Pedro P: Life is too short to drink bad coffee,' and another added, 'Is it a mocha or a shake? I don't trust either.' 'How do you know it's not a cup of gravy?' one humorously questioned, while a fan also wrote, 'My only question to that barista. Baby what did he order cause the coffee look wrong.' Another said, 'Maybe a bug fell into it,' while others imagined how they would feel if they had been the barista that made a drink Pascal dumped out. 'I'd hang up my apron for good,' one commented, and another replied with, 'I'd give up on making or drinking it.' A social media user wrote, 'I'd have ptsd everytime I'd see a coffee again,' and the individual who posted the snaps added, 'Imagine being the person who made the Pedro Pascal's coffee at work today to come online after your shift to see this.' In the photos, the actor could be seen keeping it casual wearing a short-sleeved white shirt as well as a pair of black trousers. He completed the ensemble by sporting a pair of glasses and was listening to tunes with earbuds. Pascal is preparing for the release of his upcoming superhero movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps - which hits theaters later this month on July 25. One penned, 'It looks like a black coffee, I don't blame him for tossing it onto the plants. Black coffee has a rather bitter taste if it's not made from high quality coffee beans. I drink A LOT of coffee' Another typed, 'Also yes idk if it's coffee or a protein shake cause I haven't ever had either so forgive me if I'm wrong. Either way it's funny' Along with Pedro, the cast also includes Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Julia Garner. The premise of the Marvel movie is: 'Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, the Fantastic Four must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer,' per IMDB. The Materialists actor has been keeping busy while promoting the film - and recently attended the premiere in Sydney earlier this week on Tuesday. Pascal took on the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the project that was directed by Matt Shakman. During a recent interview with Empire, the star admitted that he initially wasn't sure if he would be able to properly portray the character. 'I wasn't skeptical at all of this as a piece… But I was skeptical over [Shakman's] choice to cast me,' he revealed to the outlet. 'I was questioning if I would serve it as best as it was meant to be served - to convincing as an astrophysicist, as a father, a husband.' However, while deciding on the part, Pedro recalled crossing paths with the director in NYC and stated, 'I definitely think it was destiny.' He further reflected on stepping into the MCU and dealing with the pressure to play Mister Fantastic in the superhero movie, per Collider. 'Each time you step into one, and you feel like this can't be scarier, you find out, oh this is scarier.' Pedro added, 'Going into Games Of Thrones, going into DC, going into Star Wars, and then the entire gaming world that introduced itself like an atom bomb to me. 'And in the best way, because I learned very, very quickly the incredible medium of storytelling that's happening within gaming.' Pascal and co-star Vanessa Kirby also gave a little insight into what filming the movie had been like, with the actress sharing that she had scolded Pedro over his 'snappy' behavior. During a joint appearance on The Spill podcast, the pair were asked what they learned about each other during the production. Kirby laughed which prompted the interviewer expressing, 'Oh, I feel like you need to say something.' Pedro then jumped in to admit, 'Look, I'm a grump. I'm a grump. It doesn't make me a bad person.' The Crown actress agreed that the actor was not a bad person but explained if filming went into overtime, Pascal would get 'a little bit snappy and a bit cranky.' He explained that it was due to him going into protective mode when his co-stars would be honest about their exhaustion on set. However, when he wanted to quickly get scenes done, his castmates would suggest changes to scenes. 'And then the two of them are like "Well why don't we try it like this?", "Oh why don't we try it like that?", "Can we have another go?", "Let's talk about this a little bit longer,"' he jokingly teased. Vanessa playfully added that the actor would become 'a snappy turtle' and that she would end up giving him a little scolding. However, the pair appeared to have put those tense moments behind them by sharing a friendly embrace during the interview.
