Britney Spears makes wild claim she's 'adopted a baby girl' and reveals name... but fans are not convinced

Daily Mail3 days ago
Britney Spears made the wild claim that she has adopted a baby girl on Sunday, in a lengthy post that left fans convinced that she is 'trolling' everyone.
Spears, who is known to jest on her social media, told her followers: 'I adopted a beautiful baby girl,' adding: 'Her name is Lennon London Spears.'
It was followed by a series of winks and silly-faced emojis.
In December last year, Spears also made the claim that she was 'moving to Mexico' which turned out not to be true.
The singer, 43, gyrated in an accompanying video wearing a revealing monokini, showing off her signature dance moves.
She also told fans that she has now decided to move to Italy.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Spears' reps for comment.
Britney Spears, 43, danced and twirled in a pink monokini and black boots in a video on social media as she announced a couple of bombshells regarding changes in her life on Sunday
However, fans were quick to suggest that the Toxic singer was just having a bit of fun with them.
'She's obviously taking about a new doll or dog and not an actual human being,' one fan wrote, while another typed: 'girl she's trolling.'
This is not the first time the Gimme Me More singer has announced she would move to another nation.
In December on her birthday, she announced she was moving to Mexico, but has not done so, although she often vacations there.
In a previous post on July 10, some fans noticed what looked like a baby carrier in the background.
The Piece of Me singer, is mom to sons Sean, 19, and Jayden, 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
In January she announced she was planning on expanding her family through adoption. 'I've decided I'm going to adopt a baby girl !!!! I'm actually serious !!!' the hitmaker said in the since deleted post.
Although she turned off comments on her bombshell post, fans on other platforms aren't sure what to make of the claims.
The singer released this statement in announcing her shocking news
'Let's be honest, it's probably a doll,' one commenter wrote on Reddit.
'I don't think this is real. Adoption is a long involved process, and we would have heard more about it. I will believe it when I see the baby,' posted another.
'I love Britney but there is no way that she would be eligible for an adoption. Let's take the mental health issues and lack of consistent familial support out of it but there is no way her lifestyle of constantly moving around from country to country would make her an okay person for an infant adoption,' argued one fan, adding, 'I can't believe anyone is gullible enough to believe she's really adopted a newborn.'
Another commenter referred to Spears' broad financial resources, writing, 'Money can buy anything, unfortunately.'

Livvy Dunne sizzles in new beach snaps after reigniting her feud with the New York Times

Olivia Dunne and her MLB boyfriend Paul Skenes made the most of some brief downtime this week by soaking up the sun in Montauk. Dunne, 22, had some precious time with her boyfriend during a break in the MLB season for the All-Star game. The former LSU gymnast shared several pictures of herself with Skenes and their dog, Roux - who appeared to be getting more attention from Dunne than Skenes was. The MLB pitcher, who plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates, is widely considered to be one of the most talented stars in the game, even at the age of 23. But this week, it has been Dunne making the headlines as Skenes enjoys some needed downtime at the midway point of the 2025 baseball campaign. In an interview on the 'What's Your Story?' podcast Dunne repeated a long-standing grievance with the New York Times after posing for a photoshoot with them back in 2022. Recapping her journey to becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Dunne explained: 'It all started because of a hit piece [that] the New York Times wrote about me. 'They came to our gymnastics facility at LSU, took pictures of me. They said, "wear your team-issued attire, put on a leotard," and they took a picture of me standing in front of the beam like any gymnast would and then they blew it up on the screen and put the headline, "Sex Sells". 'Okay well, you just came into the facility and took pictures of me in our team-issued attire and blew it up on a screen. So I was like, well this is crazy. And there was obviously a lot of backlash to the New York Times because of that. 'I decided I was going to put that same picture that they posted and captioned "Sex Sells" on my Instagram story and write "@ The New York Times, is this too much?" Because, come on, you know what you're doing. You just put a picture of me in a leotard for clicks and then caption it "Sex Sells." 'And then people loved that. They were like this is so great because no, it's not too much. You're in your team-issued attire, which is a leotard for gymnasts." [...] There was a lot of positive feedback from that. 'So, Sports Illustrated reached out to my agent. I was so excited about that. That was always a dream of mine. There's some legends and some amazing athletes that have been in Sports Illustrated.' In May, Dunne, who called time on her athletics career last month, was named as one of four cover stars for SI Swimsuit's 2025 edition after appearing in two previous issues. In five years at LSU, Dunne became the most-followed and highest-paid female college athlete with over 13 million combined TikTok and Instagram followers and a NIL (name, image and likeness) valuation of $4.1million. With more time on her hands, Dunne has been at plenty of Pittsburgh Pirates games to cheer on Skenes. But while he has been a sensation in baseball, his team are struggling and have a 29-59 record so far, which leaves them last by 12 wins in the National League Central.

A source told The Sun: 'It came as a surprise to everyone to see Cam with Tasha. He was so loved up with Felicity before'. YouTuber Cam stars in CBBC series One Zoo Three and BBC show OZT Goes Wild alongside his brothers Ty and Aaron. His family run Hertfordshire Zoo and he is the managing director of a non-profit charity, The Big Cat Sanctuary, which rescues wild cats and protects species at risk of extinction. Meanwhile Tasha's ex, Andrew Le Page, launched into an explosive rant about her being on a dating app during their relationship. Andrew claimed on Thursday night that Tasha was using the celebrity dating app Raya while still in a relationship with him and insisted he wanted to speak out after she had appeared on 'one too many podcasts' to speak about him. Soon after, they released a shock joint statement. In the statement shared with MailOnline, the former couple who met on Love Island in 2022, came together to address 'hurtful comments' in a move that took place after Andrew accused Tasha of not being able to 'keep his name out of her mouth'. The exes quickly put Andrew's rant aside and came together to address the 'noise' around their relationship as Tasha admitted to 'making mistakes' during their romance. Both parties expressed their wish to 'move on' from the relationship after suffering 'judgement and cruelty' from online trolls. Sharing her side of events, Tasha said: 'I just want to address recent hurtful comments about me and & Andrew. We've always been open about who we are and what we went through, the hate and harsh words have been unfair and overwhelming for both of us. 'No one deserves to be torn down, especially when they're already trying to heal. We've both made mistakes, we've both learned, and we've both grown. But the judgement and cruelty we are facing from people online has been hard. 'Please remember that behind every nasty post, every comment, every story, there are real people with real emotions. Always be kind.' While Andrew added: 'Tasha and I want to address the noise around our breakup, as there's been hate going around that neither of us ever wanted. 'Things were said on both sides, but at the end of the day, no relationship is perfect, but ours still had some incredible moments I'll always be grateful for. 'I truly just want us both to move on and be happy. Wishing Tasha nothing but the best, and I'll always be proud of her.' The statements came shortly after he hit back at the star after she claimed in a new interview he 'wasn't supporting her,' before their shock split. The couple, who met on Love Island in 2022, split in January, with Tasha admitting she now regrets her treatment of him after they 'grew apart' during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing. Tasha, who has been deaf since birth and had a cochlear implant fitted at the age of five, appeared on the 2024 series of Strictly with pro partner Aljaž Škorjanec. In an interview for Rylan Clark 's How To Be In Love, Tasha claimed their relationship was already starting to fray prior to her Strictly debut, with Andrew offering 'no support' as she progressed to the show's latter stages. But Andrew furiously hit back in a now-deleted post on Snapchat, where he accused Tasha of 'talking s**t about him,' before stating that Tasha had begun using the celebrity dating app Raya before their relationship was over.
