On the first night of the Summer Slam, fans were treated well with dramatic plot twists. The first twist came with CM Punk overcoming Gunther to regain world championship gold for the first time since returning to the promotion in 2023 in a brutal match. On night 2 of the Summer Slam, fans will witness six blockbuster matches. John Cena will be in action to defend the undisputed WWE championship against Cody Rhodes in a street fight. The women's world championship is on the line when new titleholder Naomi defends against both Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat.
