iPhone 17 now said to use Apple's new A19 chip, check other leaked specs and launch date
Apple is gearing up for its next big iPhone launch, and fresh leaks now suggest that the iPhone 17 could come with the brand-new A19 chip instead of the previously rumoured A18 processor. This update comes from analyst Jeff Pu, who now believes the standard iPhone 17 and the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will both run on Apple's next-generation chipset, likely offering better performance and 17 said to use Apple's new A19 chip, check out other leaked specs and launch dateThe iPhone 17 series is rumoured to go official on September 8, following Apple's usual launch pattern. While the standard model may not look very different from the iPhone 16 in terms of design, Apple is reportedly making some bold changes to the Pro models. The iPhone 17 Air and 17 Pro could feature a redesigned rear camera layout, with a horizontal camera bar that stretches across the back panel. This new look could offer a more minimal and modern feel. The iPhone 17 Air is also rumoured to be noticeably slimmer, possibly by around 2mm compared to the iPhone 16 terms of display, Apple might be increasing the screen size of the regular iPhone 17 from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, bringing it closer in size to the iPhone 16 Pro. There's also talk of the device getting 120Hz refresh rate support, which would finally bring smoother visuals to the non-Pro models, though the advanced adaptive refresh tech (called ProMotion) might still be limited to the higher-end variants. The new iPhones are also expected to come with anti-reflective coatings, which could improve screen visibility outdoors. On the hardware front, the base model will likely continue with 8GB RAM, while the iPhone 17 Air and the Pro models could jump to 12GB, using faster RAM standards on the top-end options. All four models are rumoured to include Apple's in-house Wi-Fi 7 chip, which should offer better and more stable wireless performance gains, however, are expected to come from the A19 chip, which may bring improvements not just in speed but also in battery usage. Apple is also said to be testing a new vapour chamber cooling system, which may help keep the phone from overheating during gaming or video photography lovers, there could be good news. The iPhone 17 might get a 24-megapixel front camera, a big jump from the current 12MP sensor, and should result in clearer selfies and sharper video calls. The rear setup is expected to include a 48-megapixel main camera, but no telephoto lens, which remains exclusive to the Pro models. The iPhone 17 Pro Max may stick to its triple-camera system, with rumours of a mechanical aperture feature to improve low-light and daylight capacity details are still unclear, but the bigger screen suggests that Apple might include a larger battery. The iPhone 17 series may also bring 35W fast charging, which is quicker than before but still behind what many Android rivals offer.- Ends

West Coast midfielder Jack Graham slapped with four-match ban for ‘highly offensive homophobic slur'
West Coast midfielder Jack Graham has been slapped with a four-match AFL ban for using a 'highly offensive homophobic slur' towards a GWS Giants opponent last week. In a statement, the AFL said Graham was found guilty of conduct unbecoming in an incident which occurred during the second quarter of the Eagles' Round 17 loss to the Giants. 'The incident was self-reported by Graham to the West Coast Eagles,' the statement reads. 'The club reported it to the AFL on Friday morning with the AFL integrity unit undertaking an immediate investigation. 'Graham used a highly offensive homophobic slur against a GWS Giants opponent, which demeans and denigrates persons regardless of their sexuality. 'Graham has received a four-match sanction, with the AFL taking into account Graham's self-reporting of the incident, along with his private apology and contrition. Graham also rang the AFL CEO directly to apologise. 'He will not be eligible to play for the West Coast Eagles or any level of football for the next four weeks. As a part of the sanction Graham will also undertake pride in sport education.' The AFL's head of integrity and security Tony Keane said the ban sends a clear message. 'Everyone understands the word he used is both hurtful and totally unacceptable in any setting, ever,' he said. 'The AFL is very clear that homophobia has no place in our game, nor in the community. We have come a long way as a code, but this incident demonstrates there is so much more to be done, and we will continue to work together to improve our game as a safe and inclusive environment for all. 'The AFL will continue to consider the specific circumstances in each incident in determining appropriate responses. Graham's sanction would have been higher if he hadn't self-reported and understood his comment was totally inappropriate.' All AFL and AFLW players receive yearly education around vilification.

6 Reasons It's Actually Fun Watching 'We Were Liars' And Knowing That Huge Twist
Spoilers below for the final episode and twist of 'We Were Liars'. It's a rollercoaster if you've adored a book and hear it's getting made into a TV show. There's the initial excitement. Who will play your favourite character? Will the world look like the one you've built in your mind? Everyone else is going to discover how amazing it is. And many fans of E. Lockhart's book, We Were Liars will have been excited by the release of Prime Video's adaptation, which began streaming this week. But there are drawbacks too - there's room for disappointment of course, but there's also the fact that you know how it ends. While loads of people find huge joy and comfort in repeat watches, maybe I'm just too plot driven because for me, already knowing how the story plays out isn't a draw, and in fact, it's a turn off. And in the case of a story like We Were Liars the risk of being turned off by this knowledge is even greater, because the whole story hinges on a huge twist - that while Candence Sinclair is trying to puzzle through what happened to her last summer, her friends, The Liars, are actually now ghosts, having died in the fire that also caused her injury. Author E. Lockhart is part of the writing team who created the show and says she has high hopes people will still love the show's ending. 'During the pandemic, people started making TikTok videos about the novel, holding the book with tears running down their face,' she said. 'This show is going to do that, turned up to 11.' But it's not just fans of the book who may have discovered the ending - the internet is a terrible spoilery place and some of us are just too tempted to wait for eight hours of television to play out. No mattter how you came to know what happens at the end of We Were Liars, I'm here to reassure you that you can still enjoy the eight-episode show. Here's why. Throughout Summer 17, The Liars get to be with Cadence all summer and somehow avoid a million moments where people say 'Er, Cadence, who are you talking to?' Knowing throughout the series that The Liars are ghosts in Summer 17 you get to really enjoy the subtle ways it's written into the plot. For instance, in the moment when Johnny's mother Carrie finds Cadence with his phone and she ignores his pleas to give the phone back. Or when Mirren's little sister laughs when Cadence suggests Mirren tell her a ghost story. Yes the moments are played back 'realisation style' at the end, but it's quietly satisfying watching them play out without Cadence realising what's going on. Well, obviously. But there are many moments when those who don't know the big plot twist will be shouting at their TVs 'But why won't you just tell her what happened?' and 'Why are you all going along with this?' The cover, that Cadence must learn for herself because otherwise she gets headaches and blacks out, starts to wear frustratingly thin six episodes in. Watching while understanding what's going on is a much less stressful experience. Sometimes you just need a little bittersweet in your life. True fans of the book fell for the great bond between The Liars and especially, Cadence and Gat. Watching their interactions before and after the fire knowing what's really going on adds a bittersweet layer to watching the story play out that you might've skimmed over in the book in your rush to find out what on earth was going on. As Cadence notes in the final episode - without fully understanding - in Summer 17 the Sinclair sisters - for my money, the best bit of the show, and one expanded out from the book - aren't fighting anymore. The levels to which the sisters will go to hurt each other when a verbal fight breaks out is unmatched. And to see the change - and truly understand it, makes a real difference to the depth of the show, and the clever plotting. Compared to some shows, the changes between the book and the TV series when it comes to We Were Liars are small and delicately done, but they are there. Particularly when it comes to the deeper exploration of Gat's background and his misgivings about Harris Sinclair and the family's treatment of their staff on the island. When Cadence first meets Gat, she asks him, 'Are you real?' For those of us who know how the relationship between the two plays out, it's a great and touching moment. And when Ed says in episode seven that The Liars have their whole lives ahead of them? Pure heartbreak. ELLE Collective is a new community of fashion, beauty and culture lovers. File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo June 18 (UPI) -- FX released the trailer for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 17 on Wednesday. The new season premieres on July 9 at 9 p.m. EDT on FXX and streams Thursdays on Hulu. One new episode has Frank (Danny DeVito) compete on The Golden Bachelor. He chooses a woman named Cock Chewa and host Jesse Palmer plays himself. Other episodes show another crossover with Abbott Elementary. The Sunny gang volunteered at the school in an episode of the ABC sitcom, but saved some raunchier activity for a Sunny episode. Another spoof's FX's own The Bear as Dee (Katilin Olson) and Charlie (Charlie Day) scream in an ambulance as Charlie demands she call him Chef. Regulars Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney and guest stars Mary Elizabeth Ellis and David Hornsby also appear. FX renewed It's Always Sunny for four seasons in 2020. That guaranteed seasons 15-18.
