Colorado football offers multiple currently committed 2026 recruits
Colorado's 2026 recruiting class has been developing slowly, ranking No. 80 in the nation, according to 247 Sports. However, the Buffaloes aren't out of time and are still sending out offers to impactful players. On Wednesday, the Buffaloes offered three-star defensive lineman and current Kentucky commit Ben Duncum and three-star offensive tackle and San Jose State commit Josiah Manu. Both have been committed to their schools for over a month, and neither has visited Boulder. Still, the name, image and likeness era delivers surprise commitment flips every day, and there's a good chance that the Buffaloes might be able to flip one or both before the end of the season. Duncum is especially intriguing as a prospect and could be a candidate to be elevated to four-star status. Out of Lake Travis High School in Texas, Duncum has a motor that doesn't stop and size that would allow him to fit into whatever role the Buffaloes need. At 6-foot-5 and only 255, Duncum will need to add weight to perform at the next level, but he's proven himself at that size. In his junior season, he racked up 61 total tackles, an impressive mark for a defensive lineman. What's not as encouraging is his pass-rushing stats; of the 61 total tackles, only five were tackles for loss and two were sacks. He does possess a knack for finding the ball, forcing two fumbles. A local product out of Loveland, Colorado, Manu appears on paper to be the prospect the Buffaloes could flip the easiest. Aside from the proximity to home, Buffaloes are Manu's second power-four offer, with the other being fellow Big 12 school Arizona. Standing at 6-foot-5 and 295, Manu already brings elite size for a freshman at the position. A two-way player in high school, Manu has a lot of bend and wins a lot of his matchups by simply being stronger than his opponent. Like Duncum, Manu's motor doesn't quit, and he routinely finishes blocks to the turf. Both sides of the trenches are key for the Buffaloes to continue their ascent, not just in the Big 12, but in the college football world as a whole. A flip from either of these recruits to Colorado would be a significant addition to a recruiting class that has not met the quality we have come to expect from head coach Deion Sanders. Experts predict if Notre Dame will land 2027 quarterback Teddy Jarrard later today
Today is a big day for 2027 Georgia quarterback Teddy Jarrard, and potentially a huge day for Notre Dame as well. The Irish are one of five teams that the 6-foot, 3-inch and 190-pound signal caller will choose from as Georgia, Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State are his other finalists. Jarrard's commitment will have a domino effect, as Notre Dame has only offered one other quarterback in the class. Many are wondering if that strategy will work out, and looking towards what recruiting insiders are saying is the best way to find out if the Irish played this correctly. Looking at 247Sports first, there are two Crystal Ball picks, both favoring Notre Dame. It's always interesting to see when these choices were made, and both of them happened less than a week ago. That's great news for the Irish. With Rivals merging with On3, there is one less place to see predictions, but like 247Sports, they like Notre Dame's chances at landing Jarrard. There is a 91.9% confidence level in their Recruiting Prediction Machine, and while their insider picks are locked, you have to believe that they are all for the Irish. If these predictions are correct, Notre Dame's strategy of being very selective with their 2027 quarterback offers is going to pay off with Jarrard. Hopefully that is the case later today. Wisconsin football offers another 2027 blue-chip offensive playmaker
Wisconsin football extended an offer to four-star class of 2027 wide receiver Javien Robinson on Tuesday. Despite Robinson's strong ranking, the Badgers are one of the first Power Four programs to join his offer sheet. The other eight schools to offer the wideout thus far are Akron, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, UConn, Duquesne and Sacramento State. 247Sports currently ranks Robinson as the No. 136 overall player in the class of 2027, the No. 20 wide receiver and the No. 6 recruit from the state of Pennsylvania. While the recruiting service has yet to release a prediction for his landing spot, On3/Rivals lists Rutgers as the early favorite at 43.5%. The wide receiver's four-star rating and fringe-top-100 ranking should attract some of the nation's top programs, which could alter that forecast. Wisconsin has been busy on the class of 2027 recruiting trail as of late. It recently took two major swings in offering five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson and four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar. Robinson is added to the program's growing list of blue-chip offers in the class, specifically at an offensive skill position. Wisconsin's class of 2026 still ranks No. 58 nationally with 14 commitments. The group recently took a significant slide after high-three-star defensive back Zachary Taylor flipped to TCU. With the 2026 cycle mostly complete, Luke Fickell and his staff will need to use 2027 to reestablish the program's place as a top-30 recruiting destination.
