Elon Musk says a male Grok companion is coming, with a personality inspired by 'Twilight' and '50 Shades of Grey'

Another AI companion is coming to Elon Musk's Grok chatbot. The companion is inspired by "Twilight" and "50 Shades of Grey," Musk said. Grok already has two companions: an anime girl named Ani and a vulgar red panda named Rudi. Elon Musk 's Grok AI chatbot is getting another companion, and it fits the mold established by the bot's first two companions perfectly. Musk on Wednesday teased a forthcoming male Grok companion, asking users for their thoughts on what he should be named. "His personality is inspired by Edward Cullen from Twilight and Christian Grey from 50 Shades," Musk wrote. When an X user commented that the character should have been inspired by Mr. Darcy, a character from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Musk replied, "We will, of course, have another character inspired by Mr. Darcy." Grok has already released two AI companions: a flirty female anime character named Ani and a vulgar red panda named Rudi. A representative for xAI didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider. Grok was recently criticized for a series of antisemitic posts, including some in which it referred to itself as "MechaHitler," a video game version of Hitler. xAI later apologized for the chatbot's " horrific behavior." "Deprecated code made @grok susceptible to existing user posts; including when such posts contained extremist views," xAI said. xAI isn't the only company to experiment with offering various chatbot personas. There's which says it lets users choose from millions of AI characters as conversation partners. Meta started offering chatbot characters featuring the likenesses of celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Kendall Jenner, and Charli D'Amelio, but scrapped them after less than a year.

While criticising the remake culture, she reflected on the creative compromises and the audience's reaction to repetitive content. In an interview with Hot Ones for their YouTube channel during her 'Materialists' press tour, the actor said, "I think it's hard when creative decisions are made by committee, and it's hard when creative decisions are made by people who don't even really watch movies or know anything about them, and that tends to be what's occurring a lot." She also emphasised the remake addiction and said, "When something does well, studios want to keep that going so they remake the same things, but humans don't want that." "They want fresh, they want to feel new things, experience new things, see new things, so I don't know, I guess it's all just a bit of a mess right now, isn't it," she added. The '50 Shades of Grey' actor actor also highlighted the failure of her superhero film 'Madame Web' (2024), which earned merely US dollar 43 million at the domestic box office and an 11 per cwnt rating on Rotten Tomatoes. During her interview, Johnson said that she 'tried' and 'failed' to be a superhero. Since, the box office debacle of 'Madame Web', the actor has been vocal about it in most of her media interactions. In an interview with Los Angeles Times , she said, "It wasn't my fault." "There's this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee. Or made by people who don't have a creative bone in their body. And it's really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way," Johnson went on. The actor further said, "I think unfortunately, with 'Madame Web,' it started out as something and turned into something else. And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point. But that happens. Bigger budget movies fail all the time." Johnson was recently seen in 'Materialists' with Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans. India Today , in its review for 'Marerialists' wrote, "The prettiness of the film, and a brilliant Pascal in it, make 'Materialists' a one-time watch. Oh, and there are no sizzling intimate scenes to elevate the romance. A Mr Darcy-style ('Pride and Prejudice') monologue from Evans? Yes. But a drool-worthy Noah-and-Allie ('The Notebook') kiss? Not quite." 'Materialists' released in theatres on June 13, 2025. Actor Dakota Johnson expressed her views on the risk-averse nature of Hollywood. The real reason Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin split as insider reveals what finally made her walk away

Dakota Johnson was ready to walk down the aisle — but Chris Martin wasn't, and it cost them their relationship. The nepo baby actress, 35, and the Coldplay frontman, 48, began dating in 2017, got engaged years later, and on June 4, it was revealed they had quietly called it quits. A source told 'Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out how to make it official.' As fans spiraled over the A-list breakup, another insider revealed the real reason behind the split on Tuesday: Martin's cold feet. 'She was sick of him dragging his feet on setting a date for the wedding,' a source told Page Six. The news comes just days after Martin sparked speculation with a cryptic shout-out to Dakota at Coldplay's Las Vegas show on Friday. 'Thank you so much everybody,' the Paradise singer said to the sold-out crowd at Allegiant Stadium, before unexpectedly referencing Johnson's latest film. 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other,' he admonished before adding, 'Don't forget to see Materialists! We love you!' in video shared by Deuxmoi. While the person who shot the video seemed to think the promotion meant 'THEYRE NOT BROKEN UP,' others disagreed. 'I can totally seeing him supporting her even after the break up,' another stated. 'You can breakup with someone and still be supportive. Look at him and GP,' said one fan, referring to the hitmaker's successful relationship with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. 'I mean, didn't he help pioneer conscious uncoupling?' asked a fan, referring to the way Martin and Paltrow formally parted in 2014, although their divorce was not finalized until two years later. Reps for the pair have not officially confirmed their split. Last week, source said the 50 Shades of Grey star 'held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.' The insider continued: 'Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.' They added that there is a chance the pair may reconcile but 'right now, being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.' DailyMail first reported trouble between the pair in August 2024 but a rep later confirmed they were still together. The pair had a brief rumored split in 2019 which was alleged to be over Martin pushing for them to have children, but they quickly got back together. Martin famously split from Paltrow the mother of his two children Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, in March 2014 after ten years of marriage. The then-Hollywood power couple described their separation at the time as a 'conscious uncoupling' and had their divorce finalized in July 2016. Martin was reported to be in an on-and-off relationship with actress Annabelle Wallis before they split in August 2017. He was first seen with Dakota at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in October 2017 when they were reported to be 'cozy, laughing and affectionate'. Dakota, the daughter of Don Johnson, 75, and Melanie Griffith, 68, was spotted a month later at a Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leading to fans posing social media pictures of her enjoying the show. The couple were seen out on more dates around Los Angeles in early 2018. But it was nearly a year later that they made their first openly public appearance together at Stella McCartney's Autumn 2018 Collection show in LA. Dakota appeared to confirm her relationship with Martin in an interview with Tatler in September 2018 when she said: 'I'm not going to talk about it, but I am very happy.' The following November, she is said to have met Paltrow, her new husband Brad Falchuk, and Martin's children at a Thanksgiving dinner A source told PEOPLE at the time: 'They're a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together.' The couple were spotted again with Paltrow and Falchuk on the beach in the Hamptons, New York, in August 2019. Paltrow opened up about her ex-husband's relationship with Dakota in a 2020 interview with Harper's Bazaar, describing how the actress had become part of her family. She said: 'I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her.' Johnson gushed over Martin's children in a 2024 interview, saying: 'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.'

Dakota Johnson's Chaotic Press Tour Moments

The press tour for the film Materialists has been nothing less than pure dopamine and chaos, and fans are loving it! However, the one enjoying this press tour the MOST is none other than our favorite unbothered queen—Dakota Johnson! Known for her direct and often less-than-enthusiastic approach to press tours and interviews, Dakota Johnson is winning fans over with her reactions, offhand comments, and all the gossip she's been spilling during the promotions for this film. Since I am clearly addicted to these press moments, here are a few moments where Dakota Johnson was effortlessly hilarious and got the right kind of good chaotic energy to the internet: 1. Starting off with this cute and relatively calm interaction, where she got a Pedro Pascal cardboard cut-out due to his absence—and then proceeded to kiss it on the lips—and then making Chris kiss it as well! It is the most lovely and wholesome thing I have seen this week. And I kind of dig it. 2. Moving onto the time when she appeared on Amy Poehler's podcast, Good Hang—she got asked how she psyches up before a sex scene and then hit back with THIS on-brand reply with a deadpan face... Clearly, she is not afraid to hold back, and you know what? Good for reply got the room chuckling and giggling, and that's why we all love Dakota being Dakota. 3. And then again, when she revealed her wild dream about Matt Healy from The 1975 band to Amy Poehler—it was definitely interesting, to say the least... Yeah. Which prompted this very justified reaction from Amy Poehler... If anything, this just shows that Dakota is just like me, getting such weird dreams about other celebrities, and that just makes me relate to her so much. (Even though I wouldn't say it out loud on YouTube, but you do you!) 4. When she got into Pedro's armpit to check if he had BO or not—without a care in the world—and it was so calmly chaotic... I love that the three of them are so casual, like this is something Dakota does. I need someone like Dakota in my life—her personality is so random that I can't get enough! 5. The time when Dakota revealed that she injured herself on 50 Shades of Grey—due to whiplash—and Pedro quite literally had to get a hold of himself because it was THAT unexpected... The two of them in the same room is simply the best thing ever. Them being good friends just makes this so much more hilarious than it needs to be. 6. This moment where she acted on impulse and tried to get Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal to kiss—somehow making us blush through the screen. She is such a girl's girl—giving fans what they want to see. I truly appreciate it. 7. And finally—iconic behavior alert—during a Vanity Fair lie detector test, she was asked if she really did send her best friend's ex a whole gallon of gorilla sh*t. Her response? Absolutely legendary. She then proceeded to tell the interviewer that you can find any kind of poop and in any size with the most deadpan face. Such an icon! You know what? I deserve this kind of friend who will not hesitate to do such wild things for you. Dakota, you rock! I don't know about anyone else, but if someone is super excited for this film and being part of it, it's Dakota Johnson, who is reveling in every minute of the promotions. She is really enjoying herself and working with her co-stars, and I love to see it! The film is releasing on June 13th, and I am on the edge of my seat for this movie to heal me. The day is finally coming close! If you haven't already seen the trailer, you can watch it here:

Dakota Johnson on how she 'psyches' herself up for sex scenes: 'Let's go to pound town'

Dakota Johnson does not need to prepare for intimate scenes; she's already "always psyched up for sex." The star, whose breakout role was Anastasia Steele in the spicy 50 Shades of Grey franchise, appeared on Tuesday's episode of Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast to chat about her upcoming romance comedy Materialists when the topic turned to how she prepared for sex scenes. 'I don't have to. I'm, like, always psyched up for sex," Johnson quipped to Poehler. "F--- yeah," Poehler said, as the two laughed over the phrasing. "'Psyched up?' Is that a thing?" Johnson asked. "Let's go to pound town?" On a more serious note, Johnson recalled how she recently worked on a film a few months ago and it was the first time she had ever worked with an intimacy coordinator. "And she was really great," Johnson said. "It was so cool because I'm so used to, just you know, like, it's a sex scene. It's not sexy. It doesn't feel good.' She shared that character work was integral to preparing for the scenes. 'First, it depends on who the character is and who the character's supposed to be to the audience,' Johnson said. 'Is she like a super idolized hot girl? Is she a housewife? Is she lonely? Is she scared? Is she conservative?" "Certain prep would go into it," Johnson added. "I want to feel good in my body if I'm showing my body." Johnson, the daughter of actor parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, also said that her famous mother helped instill in her the confidence required for such intimate and vulnerable scenes. "My mom raised me to be really proud of my body and love my body,' Johnson said. "So I've always felt so grateful for that, especially in my work because I can use it and it feels real. She was very honest and open about body stuff, like getting my period. She also talked to me about sex and how precious and important it is."Johnson added, "So I guess in my work, it's something that I feel brave with and that I feel, when it's used the right way in a story." The star is gearing up for the release of Materialists (in theaters June 13), loosely inspired by director-writer Celine Song's side hustle as a New York City matchmaker when she was a struggling playwright in need of extra income. Johnson plays Lucy, a skilled liaison for lonely hearts at a successful matchmaking firm who isn't as proficient when it comes to her own love life. She's torn between her imperfect ex, struggling actor John (Chris Evans), and the perfect and wealthy Harry (Pedro Pascal). "She's at a very interesting time in her life where she's sort of teetering between two worlds," Johnson previously told Entertainment Weekly of her character arc. "A lot of what she does is very surface-level stuff. I think for a long time she has been very comfortable in that because it means she doesn't have to actually go inward and look at herself and what she wants for her own life." "It's a story of bravery, really, and fear," she added. "Allowing yourself to be loved is scary, and really loving another person is scary . . . a woman having the courage to open her heart is what I loved about it."
