Four Clemson baseball players earn All-ACC honors for 2025 season

The ACC on Monday announced all-conference honors for the 2025 baseball season. Four members of the Clemson Tigers earned All-ACC honors. Right-handers Aidan Knaak and Lucas Mahlstedt were first-team selections, while outfielder Cam Cannarella was a second-team selection and Collin Priest was a third-team selection. Knaak had a strong sophomore season, going 8-1 with a 4.25 ERA in 14 starts on the hill. He struck out 100 batters while walking 28 over 78 1/3 innings. The sidearmed right-hander struck out 55 batters while issuing only six walks over 41 1/3 innings. Cannarella led the Tigers in hitting this season with a .332 average in 54 games. Tip-off from Cameron Indoor Stadium is set for 9 p.m. ET (ACC Network). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's college basketball odds around the Cal vs. Duke odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions. Cal lost 76-66 to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday, failing to cover as a 2-point underdog with the Under (142.5) hitting. Wake Forest shot 57.7% from the field, while Cal shot 35.8%. Duke snapped a 16-game win streak with a 77-71 loss as a 6-point favorite vs. the Clemson Tigers Saturday as the Over (135.5) hit. Clemson outrebounded Duke 36-23. - Rankings: USA TODAY Sports Men's Basketball Coaches Poll Stream select live college basketball games and full replays: Get ESPN+ Cal at Duke odds Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Duke (-10000) is the much better team and will easily be able to win and cover, but a favorite set this heavily is never worth the risk of betting on. PASS, and bet the spread and/or O/U instead. BET DUKE -23.5 (-110). The Blue Devils have covered the spread in 2 of their last 3 games and are 14-9 ATS this season. Duke is also 2-0 ATS in the last 2 head-to-head meetings. Cal is just 2-3 ATS in its last 5 games and 12-11-1 ATS this year. Duke scores 80 points per game (PPG), while Cal allows 75 PPG, good for bottom five in the ACC. So, Duke will be able to score at will against this Golden Bears defense. Be aware that betting on this heavy of a favorite to cover is always a risk, especially with Cal's offense averaging a respectable 74.8 PPG. LEAN UNDER 142.5 (-110). The Under has hit in Cal's last 4 games and is 8-2 in its last 10. The Under has also been safer for both programs this year, going 13-11 for Cal and 13-10 for Duke. Duke has a great offense and Cal has a terrible defense, so the Blue Devils will be able to pile on here. However, I expect Duke's defense, which holds teams to an ACC-best 60.5 PPG, to stifle the Bears and help the Under hit. This is a lean because the Over has been hitting for Duke recently, sitting at 3-1 in its last 4 games. Play our free daily Pick'em Challenge and win! Play now! Toby Fournier scores 20 to lead No. 10 Duke over Clemson 74-55

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Toby Fournier scored 20 points off the bench and No. 10 Duke pulled away for a 74-55 victory over Clemson on Thursday night. Fournier, a contender for Atlantic Coast Conference rookie of the year, shot 9 of 12 from the floor and also had four rebounds. It was the sixth time this season the freshman has scored at least 20 points, and Duke (18-5, 9-2) is now 6-0 in those games. Maddi Cluse scored 19 points ande Anya Poole had 11 for the Tigers (11-12, 4-8), who lost their third consecutive game and have lost seven of their last eight. Ashlon Jackson added 15 points and four assists for the Blue Devils while Oluchi Okananwa chipped in 14 points and three steals. Takeaways Duke: After losing at No. 14 N.C. State on Monday, the Blue Devils bounced back with a decisive victory behind a defense that ranks sixth nationally in defensive rating. Clemson: The Tigers aren't yet capable of consistently competing with the ACC's upper class in Shawn Poppie's first season as head coach. Clemson is now 1-7 this season against ranked opponents, and 2-9 in Quad 1 and 2 games. Key moment The Tigers had a two-point advantage midway through the second quarter, but Duke responded with a 23-5 run that bled into the third frame and gave the Blue Devils a double-digit advantage. Reigan Richardson scored eight points over that span of about nine minutes. Key stat Duke forced Clemson into a season-high 27 turnovers and turned them into 35 points. The Blue Devils have caused double-digit turnovers against every opponent they've played this season and force an ACC-best 20.5 per game. Up Next On Sunday, Duke hosts Miami and No. 13 North Carolina visits Clemson. ___ Get poll alerts and updates on the AP Top 25 throughout the season. Sign up here.
