Kedah, Terengganu fail to get licences to play on Asian stage
KUALA LUMPUR: Only four M-League clubs have received licences to play in the AFC Champions League (ACL) competitions. Malaysian Football League's First Instance Body (FIB) said in a statement that six M-League clubs — Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), Selangor, Sabah, Terengganu, Kedah and Penang — applied for the AFC licences. However Terengganu and Kedah failed to get their licences. This leaves four clubs — JDT, Selangor, Sabah and Penang — eligible to play in the ACL Elite for the 2025-2026 and ACL Elite 2 for the 2025-2026 season.
