Did Jada Mclean use the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders pay fight to launch her next career? Inside her sudden exit

Jada Mclean left an unforgettable mark on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Image via IG) Jada Mclean left an unforgettable mark on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders — not only for her powerful performances over five seasons but for the role she played in changing the game off the field. As season 2 of Netflix's America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders revealed, Mclean helped lead the squad's push for fairer compensation. But in a surprise twist, just as their efforts finally paid off with a 400% salary increase, Mclean made the emotional decision to retire. A leader on and off the field The Palm Springs native worked her way to the top of the DCC ranks, eventually becoming first group leader — a role that required mentorship, choreography assistance, and strong team communication. Mclean was a standout not just for her dance skills but for her voice. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ColorsTV (@colorstv) Speaking of the team's successful compensation battle, she said: "'Happy' isn't even the right word for it. [It] kind of felt like a relief, like everything had paid off ... finally we were done fighting." Still, despite the long-awaited victory, Mclean confirmed her departure from the team during the uniform return ceremony. 'I'm just looking forward to what's next for me in life, and give it my all like I did when I was here,' she told director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell. It was a tearful farewell that signaled not just the end of an era, but a promising new beginning. Life after the poms: Modeling, travel, and award shows Since retiring, Mclean hasn't stepped away from the spotlight entirely. She's traveled across the U.S. and Mexico, appeared at the ACM Awards, and even returned for limited promotional performances as part of the DCC On Tour and media appearances for the docuseries. In a May TikTok video, she opened up about her dreams beyond cheerleading: 'I have thought about going into modeling after my DCC career comes to an end... I am as amateur as they come in the world of modeling.' Also Read: Who is Cooper Maas? Keith Urban SNAPS & Leaves Interview Over Nicole Kidman's Bold Roles

Keith Urban abruptly exited a live radio interview after being asked about wife Nicole Kidman's intimate scenes with younger co-stars like Zac Efron in her latest film A Family Affair. The moment occurred during Hayley & Max in the Morning on Adelaide's Mix 102.3. Host Max Burford asked how Urban felt watching Nicole in romantic roles, but right after the question, Keith's Zoom connection mysteriously dropped. The show's hosts suspect the interview was cut short because they crossed into personal territory. Neither Urban nor his team has responded. Nicole and Keith, married since 2006 with two children, were recently seen together at the ACM Awards and the FIFA Club World Cup. Nicole has also spoken in the past about nearly quitting acting after becoming a mother. Read More

Conner Smith's Rep Gives Update After Nashville Fatal Accident

Rising country star Conner Smith's representative has now responded to the news that Smith was involved in a fatal accident in Nashville, TN, that left an elderly woman dead. Smith's rep told People that he was 'involved in a car accident that tragically claimed a life.' Smith was not injured. The crash occurred on the evening of June 8, and Dorothy Dobbins, 77, was killed after being struck by a pickup truck driven by Smith, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department wrote in a news release. 'His heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins' family during this incredibly difficult time,' Smith's rep's statement said, according to People. 'Mr. Smith continues to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.' People noted that sources told the publication that Smith was not impaired at the time of the crash nor "distracted by his phone." Smith has 200,000 followers on Instagram. According to 9News, he is best known for the "viral hit 'I Hate Alabama' and released his debut album, 'Smoky Mountains,' in 2024." He "was nominated for New Male Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards last year," the station reported. "The pedestrian killed Sunday night after she was struck by a vehicle on 3rd Avenue North near Van Buren Street is identified as 77-year-old Dorothy Dobbins," police wrote. "The preliminary investigation indicates that a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, driven by Conner Smith, 24, was traveling north on 3rd Avenue North as Dobbins was crossing the roadway," the release says. "It appears that she was inside a marked crosswalk when she was struck around 7:30 p.m. Dobbins, who lived nearby, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died." "The preliminary contributing factor for this crash appears to be Smith failing to yield the right of way to the pedestrian. He showed no signs of impairment. There are no charges at present as the investigation continues," the release Smith's Rep Gives Update After Nashville Fatal Accident first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 10, 2025
