99.5 pass percentage in SSLC examination in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, A total of 99.5 per cent of students qualified for higher education in this year's SSLC examination in Kerala, the results of which were announced here by state Education Minister V Sivankutty on Friday. As many as 4,24,583 students qualified for higher education out of 4,27,020 students who appeared for the examination, the minister told reporters here. Of them, a total of 61,449 students secured an A in all subjects. As many as 2,331 schools in the state recorded a 100 per cent pass rate. This year's pass percentage is 0.19 per cent lower than last year's figure of 99.69, and the number of students securing A in all subjects came down from 71,831 last year to 61,449 this year, the minister said. A total of 39,447 children belonging to the scheduled castes qualified for higher education out of 39,981 students who appeared for the exam, registering a significant 98.66 pass percentage. Of them, 2,130 children secured an A in all subjects. Among the scheduled tribe students, 7,135 out of 7,279 children, who appeared for the exam, passed. They secured a 98.02 pass percentage. A total of 162 students secured an A in all subjects in the category. A total of 4,27,020 students appeared for the examination in 3,072 centres in Kerala, Lakshadweep, and the Gulf regions. As many as 74 candidates appeared for the SSLC private examination, while 3,057 students wrote the THSLC examination in 48 centres across Kerala. A total of 66 students wrote the AHSLC examination at Kerala Kalamandalam. The examinations were conducted from March 3 to March 26. The evaluation of the answer sheets was completed in 14 working days from April 3 to 26 at 72 camps in the state, the minister said, adding 9,851 teachers participated in the evaluation.

1 2 T'puram: General education minister V Sivankutty will officially release the Kerala SSLC results for the academic year 2025 at a news conference at the Secretariat PRD chamber in the state capital at of SSLC (hearing impaired), Technical High School Leaving Certificate (THSLC), THSLC (hearing impaired) and Art High School Leaving Certificate (AHSLC) will also be released at the news conference, an official statement has said. Education Minister V Sivankutty will announce the SSLC exam results on May 9 from the Pariksha Bhavan (Thiruvananthapuram). This year, 4,27,021 students appeared for their SSLC exam in Kerala, Lakshadweep and the Gulf are waiting for the results. As per reports, THSLC and AHSLC results will also be announced on May 9 at the official websites of Pariksha Bhavan, KITE, and PRD. To apply for rechecking, students will be required to pay a fee as prescribed by the board. This year, the SSLC or Class 10 exams were held between March 3 to March 26. Last year, the Class 10 exams were conducted by the Kerala board between March 4 and March 25. The result of these exams was declared on May 8 at 3 pm. The pass percentage last year was 99.69 per cent. The DHSE conducted the Class 12 2024 exams from March 1 till March 26. The result of these exams was released on May 9, 2024. In 2023 the results were declared on May 25 whereas in 2022, they were declared on June 21 The overall pass percentage last year was 78.69 per cent. It was a decrease from the previous year when the pass percentage stood at 82.95%.

Of these, 1.42 lakh examinees were from government schools, 2.55 lakh from aided schools, and 29,631 from the unaided sector. The number of candidates from the Gulf region was 682 and that from Lakshadweep was 447. Eight students appeared for the examination in the old scheme. A total of 3,057 students (2,815 boys and 242 girls) appeared for the THSLC examinations in 48 examination centres.
