Video: Mysterious black smoke seen in Chitgar area in Tehran
Published July 17th, 2025 - 07:55 GMT ALBAWABA - A huge cloud of black smoke was spotted in the Chitgar neighborhood in western Tehran, Iran, on Thursday, July 17. Social media users have been sharing videos and photos of a smoke cloud rising into the sky and questioning the reason. Until now, no official Iranian media outlet or governmental source has detailed the accident, nor has any person mentioned any information about whether there were casualties or not. Similar incidents were reported in the past few weeks after the end of the 12-day war with Israel and they were mostly attributed to gas leak explosions. — Pouria Zeraati (@pouriazeraati) July 17, 2025 © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto just took to the internet by storm after revealing the new leads for the upcoming The Legend of Zelda live-action movie. The upcoming movie, which is set to premiere in May 2027, sparked widespread debate on social media after fans voiced their concerns over a live-action adaptation of their favorite video game franchise, stating further that an animated show or movie should've been the preferable step to take when bringing Zelda into the world of cinema. A fan wrote, "Actually great casting choices." Another added, "Still think it's bizarre to make a live action over an animated." Nintendo bans Switch 2 over "Twink Link" username
ALBAWABA - Nintendo recently made headlines after a Switch 2 owner using "Twink Link" as a username had his console permanently banned, despite contacting support about the issue at hand. Upon contacting customer support, the owner was met with alleged laughter from the staff, but the ban's outcome hasn't changed. He received a full system ban, which prevented him from accessing the Switch 2's online services, including multiplayer and the eShop to purchase or download previously owned digital games. Nintendo bans Switch 2 over "Twink Link" username The customer took to Reddit to voice their frustration under the account name 'Funaoe24' and wrote: "I let everyone in my family use my Nintendo Switch 2 system and as a result, my sister uses it. Her username was recently changed to Twink Link and... console ban." He added, "I am fully prevented from accessing any Nintendo services at all on the system. I'm unable to contact support as they're too busy with complaints right now, but this has been incredibly stressful. We were all so excited to be playing Breath of the Wild again." 'Funaoe24' then returned with a "final edit" stating that permanent bans cannot be revoked by Nintendo at all. He added that he will be returning the system to GameStop so another customer can buy it. Nintendo is once again facing backlash from fans, who have voiced concern over the company's terms and conditions for owning a Switch 2. Many also urged fellow gamers to choose their usernames carefully to avoid similar issues.
