UPTAC Round 2 seat allotment 2025: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has released the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) list for the second round. Candidates can check their allotment status by visiting the official website: The seats have been allotted on the basis of candidates' JEE Main 2025 ranks and their preferred college and course selections during the counselling registration. Candidates can check the UPTAC Round 2 seat allotment results through the following steps: Visit the official UPTAC website: On the homepage, go to the link 'CANDIDATE ACTIVITY BOARD'. Under the ' Counselling 2025' tab, click on 'Round 2 Seat Allotment Result for UPTAC Counselling 2025'. In the login window, enter the required details in the respective fields. Click on 'Sign In'. Your UPTAC Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2025 will be displayed. Candidates are advised to download and save the allotment letter for future admission processes. After checking the UPTAC seat allotment status, candidates will need to either 'freeze' or 'float' the colleges allotted to proceed with the further stages of counselling: Select from 'Freeze or Float' options Freeze option enables candidates to accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds Float lets candidates retain the current seat but remain eligible for higher preference upgrades in subsequent rounds. Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University celebrated its 25th foundation day on Saturday with felicitations, social work and a gathering of poets that touched on every issue of society and everyday life through their writings. The varsity awarded winners of the Silver Jubilee logo competition. The workers of five anganwadi centres adopted by the university were given certificates and kits were distributed to 25 children of Paramarth, run by the students in the adopted schools and IET. Certificates were also given to the winners and participants of the Intra University sports tournament. VC Prof JP Pandey said: "Behind the growth of this university is the tireless effort of its teachers, officers and staff. In this 25-year journey, this is the first time that the university got an A grade from the NAAC." MLA BKT Vidhan Sabha Yogesh Shukla said: "This university is not only empowering the students academically but is also contributing to social concerns."TNN

AKTU centres to aid industry collab with engg instts
Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will establish four centres of excellence at its four affiliated institutes in state at a cost of Rs 140 crore to enhance research, education and industry collaboration and will include specialised training, access to cutting-edge technologies, industry-oriented projects and opportunities for students and faculty to engage in impactful research and development. Budget sanctioned will be spent by AKTU on developing these centres to promote skills of students of core branches and enhance technical education in UP. Each centre, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories, will focus on specific engineering domains. Centres of excellence will be set up at Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow, Kamala Nehru Institute of Technology Sultanpur, Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi and UP Institute of Design, Noida, with partial support from industry. "The centres of excellence in different departments will be a hub for students, faculty and even industry professionals to collaborate, develop skills and contribute to advancements in their respective fields," said Prof Vineet Kansal, IET director, adding, it would help hone skills of students in core branches of engineering. The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy's emphasis on practical learning and industry engagement.
