Winchester sports centre pool shut over roof problems
A leisure centre's main pool has been temporarily closed after problems with its roof were found, cancelling a swimming 50m (164ft) eight-lane swimming pool at Winchester Sport & Leisure Park closed on Active, the pool's operator, said a section of roofing over the main pool was in need of "essential repair works". Its 20m (66ft) teaching pool remains open for lessons and lane swimming while the roof work is carried pool had been set to host the AP Race Masters Grand Prix - an individual and team competition for swimmers aged over 18 - on Sunday, which has now been cancelled.
