VIJAYAWADA: In a significant move, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has launched a new overseas employment initiative to facilitate international opportunities for skilled Indian IT professionals. As part of its mission to open global career pathways for experienced .NET and MS SQL developers of the State, APSSDC is facilitating placements in Kallithea of Greece. Selected candidates will be offered an annual net salary of Rs 28,000 (around Rs 25.2 lakh), along with a comprehensive benefits package, including free accommodation, public insurance, social security, local transportation, and options for contract renewal by the employer. APSSDC Executive Director Manohar stated that this initiative marks a significant opportunity for skilled IT professionals of the State to pursue rewarding international careers. Candidates must be male under the age of 35 with at least five years of experience in .NET and MS SQL technologies, with strong English communication skills to satisfy the eligibility criteria. The selection process includes an English language assessment test followed by a technical assessment. While visa fees, flight charges, and medical test expenses must be borne by the candidates, the employer will provide free accommodation and other local support. Speaking as the chief guest at a mega job fair organised at Bhaskar Degree College on Friday, the MLA emphasised the potential of the district's youth and the importance of supporting their employment aspirations. On Friday, a job fair was conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with several companies. MLA Vijayachandra commended the youth of the region, describing them as 'royal and highly capable,' and stressed that they would excel if given the right employment opportunities. 'If your parents are unemployed at home, then you take the initiative to become employed and support them,' the MLA advised the youth. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunities provided through the job fair, drawing inspiration from Indian professionals who are making their mark globally. Sharing his personal experience, MLA Vijayachandra said, 'I too started my career in a private company and rose step by step to where I am today. With dedication and commitment, you can also reach great heights.' he said. KSK Chaitanya, skill development officer said that around 102 youth have been selected by various companies and he stated that they would provide skill nurturing class and support the youth to get employment.

APSSDC launches summer online internship programme for Diploma students
The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has announced the launch of its Summer Online Internship Program 2025, exclusively designed for Diploma students across core engineering branches. APSSDC Executive Director K. Raghu said in a statement on Friday (May 09) that the initiative is aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by offering hands-on, skill-oriented training. The internship will run from May 17 to June 16, 2025, and includes a total of 60 hours of structured learning, 40 hours of theory and 20 hours of practicals, conducted through daily 2-hour online sessions. Students can choose from the following specialisation tracks: Python Programming for Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Embedded Systems with Arduino for Electronics and Electrical Engineering (ECE/EEE) and AutoCAD for Mechanical and Automobile Engineering. The programme is open to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Diploma students who are studying in the 2025–26 academic year. To qualify for certification, participants must ensure a minimum of 75 % attendance and score at least 70 % in the assessments. 'This internship program reflects APSSDC's commitment to upskilling our youth with industry-relevant technologies. By offering specialised training at a minimal cost, we aim to empower students with the tools they need for future success,' said Mr. Raghu.
