'EA SPORTS F1 25' is Out Now
EA SPORTS F1 25has officially hit the track. The latest entry in theFormula 1video game franchise was released today onPlayStation 5,XboxSeries X|S andPC, promising to deliver the most realistic racing simulation of the series so far. Fan-favorite story mode, Braking Point, returns for its third chapter and this time includes a surprise crossover with Apple Original Films'F1 THE MOVIEthat sees players jump into the cockpit of fictional team APXGP in a playable preview chapter. The brand say that further story content is set to roll out over time, beginning on June 30. Additionally, this year's Braking Point introduces multi-character perspectives and spans a full two seasons, allowing players to experience the highs and lows – as well as the politics of – contending for the title from more than one seat. EA has also introduced a reworked My Team mode, with My Team 2.0 letting players take on the role of team owner to build an F1 operation from scratch – everything from the team's engineering to its personnel can be controlled, and players can easily switch between modes to manage or drive at their leisure. Adding to the new title's realism is the fact game developer, Codemasters, digitally scanned six real life tracks 'using LIDAR' and 'captured during live race weekends', including Silverstone, Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola. It makes racing these tracks in-game the closest thing to actually doing so in real life, offering fans a unique perspective that's not found in any other games. In celebration of its launch, EA paired up the seven-time Formula One World Drivers' Championship winnerLewis Hamiltonwith professional footballerKylian Mbappéfor what it calls a 'a sprint showdown ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix' this weekend. Check out the video above. EA SPORTS F1 25is out now worldwide.

F1 25 Review: Play as Brad Pitt's Sonny Hayes in Video Game
Codemasters' F1 series is one of video gaming's most consistent franchises as its delivered thrilling simulation racing for well over a decade at this point. This year's release features some great under the hood upgrades graphically, additional options to the career mode, and a great crossover with the F1 movie. It all gels to create a great racing game that is filled with modes and features to keep Formula One fans busy. The core racing has always been the series' strong suit and it remains as such this year. There's a particular buzz that comes with overtaking an opponent around a turn, carefully navigating the space between success and a crash. The sense of speed is as good as ever, with some visual upgrades making the cars look better than ever as you .(hopefully) speed past them. With plenty of difficulty settings and sliders, you can make sure you're having fulfilling action on the track across the game's many modes. One of the coolest additions to F1 25 is the game's implementation of the upcoming F1 movie starring Brad Pitt. First off, both the APXGP and its drivers (Pitt and Damson Idris' characters) are available in both Driver Career and My Team modes. Additionally, there are scenarios from the film that players can relive. Currently, only one is available (more will be coming on June 30 once the film is out), where you play as Pitt's Sonny Hayes and try to match the time of Idris' Joshua Pearce, but it's presented really well as it blends movie footage to set it up before transitioning into the racing gameplay. I always love challenge modes in sports games, and I can't wait to do the rest of the challenges next month. If you enjoy the taste of off-track drama in the F1 movie mode, then you'll be glad to know that the story-based Braking Point mode returns for a third time. It picks up from last year's story — although it introduces itself well, so you won't be totally lost if you're new — and you'll have the option to race as either Callie Mayer or Aiden Jackson. I've always gotten a kick out of the mode (and wish more sports games would have narrative modes), and what's nice about this year's addition is that after you've finished the story, you can take the team into Career Mode to continue it if you wish. As a yearly release, the game is naturally iterative (as it should be with such a strong base), but there are a number of other additions. New advancements in F1 25 include five rebuilt tracks (Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola) that look fantastic. You can also race around three tracks in reverse layouts, as well, so there's more variety than ever before. A lot of other nice touches, such as better facial animations and a much better decal editor, make it a better visual spectacle both on the track and during cutscenes as well. Codemasters has done it yet again as F1 25 is a fantastic offering with plenty of modes and gripping racing. I can't wait to see more of the F1 movie implementation as I love what's already in the game, and Braking Point is yet again a solid story mode. You can never go wrong with the F1 games, and F1 25 builds on the series' strong past to provide the best one yet. As ComingSoon's review policy explains, a score of 8.5 equates to 'Great.' While there are a few minor issues, this score means that the art succeeds at its goal and leaves a memorable impact. Disclosure: The publisher provided a PlayStation 5 copy for our F1 25 review. 'F1: The Movie' drops its final trailer before release
Brad Pitt starrer 'F1' is one of the few big-budget original films this year. Photo: File The final trailer for the upcoming Formula 1-based film F1: The Movie has officially been released, giving fans their most detailed look yet at the story and high-octane visuals ahead of its theatrical debut next month. Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a retired F1 driver making a comeback, paired with a young and ambitious rookie, Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. The film's production captured real-world racing action by filming during multiple races in the 2023 and 2024 Formula 1 seasons, seamlessly integrating fictional APX GP cars into actual footage. Real-life tracks like Silverstone, Monza, and Yas Marina appear in the movie, alongside recognizable race incidents like the first-lap crash that took Sergio Perez out of the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix. The Las Vegas Grand Prix plays a significant role in the trailer, with a major crash on the start-finish straight and scenes of Pitt's character jogging through the city. Additional filming was done at the McLaren Technology Centre, where Idris's character trains lakeside and the fictional team's logo 'APX' can be seen. A press conference scene was also shot at this location. The film's cast includes Javier Bardem as APX GP team principal Ruben Cervantes, Kerry Condon as technical director Kate McKenna, and also features Tobias Menzies and Kim Bodnia. The movie will hit international cinemas starting June 25, followed by a North American release on June 27.

‘F1' trailer: Brad Pitt plays a veteran driver facing the past in high-stakes racing drama
A new trailer for F1, the upcoming racing drama starring Brad Pitt, has been released ahead of its global premiere on June 25. Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt, and Lewis Hamilton, the film centers on a fictional Formula 1 team fighting to stay in the sport. Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver who left the circuit years ago after a serious crash. He's brought back by his former teammate, Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), to help turn around the struggling APXGP team. His task is to guide the team's young and outspoken rookie, Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. The trailer highlights the tension between the two drivers. At one point, Pearce tells Hayes, 'You're making a mistake thinking I'm going to be some grateful kid who will bend a knee to an oldtimer.' Another scene shows team manager Kate (Kerry Condon) confronting Hayes about his return: 'Formula 1 is a team sport. It always was. We all lose our jobs if you can't pull off a miracle.' The film explores Hayes's return to racing, the pressure of mentorship, and the internal politics of a struggling team. While fictional, F1 was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends, with Pitt and Idris reportedly driving at speeds over 180 mph. F1 will release internationally on June 25 and in North America on June 27. Alongside Kosinski, Bruckheimer, and Pitt, Lewis Hamilton also serves as a producer, bringing real-world F1 experience to the film's production.
