Jin's ‘RUNSEOKJIN_EP. TOUR' Brings Silliness And Sincerity To Anaheim

Jin during his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 Two months after BTS member Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, was discharged from the military, the first episode of Run Jin aired on BTS' Official YouTube Channel. A spinoff of the group's variety show, Run BTS!, Run Jin focused on the oldest member trying new things, such as fencing, climbing a mountain, returning to his old high school, playing against fellow artists in games, interacting with kids, and other various challenges. As the first member to complete his military service at the time, Jin didn't want to keep ARMY – the name for BTS' fandom – waiting for content. With 36 episodes in total, the show concluded in May with Jin discussing his plans for the real finale, a world tour: #RUNSEOKJIN_EP. TOUR. As he enters his meeting with the concert planners, he details some information he had wanted to include but had been censored. He tells his team, 'I just think it'll be really fun! And it'll make it feel like we're really interacting [with ARMY]! Run Jin is all about fun.' He then turns to the camera, telling his viewers, 'The Run Jin that made you laugh may be ending, but the Run Jin where I come to see you is just getting started. Then, should we all start running?' Last night, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, was the start of the North American leg of Jin's tour. ARMY was scattered all around outside the arena, either waiting in line to purchase concert merchandise, waiting to enter the venue, or just meeting with other fellow fans. Many were dressed in 'Jin-core'–the silly style of the singer. From fans dressed in Super Mario Bros. costumes (dedicated to his visit to Universal Studios Japan Nintendo World) to fans dressed as fishermen or fish (an ode to his love for fishing), it was apparent which member of BTS's concert this was for. Many passed out 'freebies'–a popular trend within the fandom–dedicated to Jin, filled with fan-made photocards, handmade bracelets, stickers, charms, or even a custom compact mirror. The Honda Center was even involved in the fanfare activities by offering free airbrush tattoos dedicated to the pop star at their arena brewery. RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 As the sold-out arena began to fill the purplish-blue-lit room, many were excited to see another adored member of BTS live on stage. It had been three months since j-hope performed in Los Angeles, and a month since the final member of BTS–Suga–was discharged from civil service to join the rest of the group. Fans chattered, wondering if there would be special guests joining Jin on stage, as BTS are all now reunited. Jin and Jung Kook had performed as special guests for j-hope's final HOPE ON THE STAGE concert in Seoul. Also, with Jin as the most unpredictable member of the group, anything was possible. All the noise came to a sudden stop as the lights dimmed, and then a burst of cheers as fans realized the concert was about to begin. Suddenly, the global superstar, dressed in a shimmery outfit, calmly walked on stage. With his hair slicked back and his forehead exposed (it's a thing for his fans), he strutted down the runway as if he owned the place towards a podium with a buzzer on top. He held his hand up and slapped the buzzer, which prompted everything to come alive–laser lights, confetti, sparklers, and the screens lit up in Run Jin graphics. He screamed to the rousing audience, 'Are you ready?!' Jin during his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 He began to dance around the stage in celebration, singing 'Running Wild,' the lead single from his debut EP, Happy. The entire arena became a large dance party as they sang along to the chorus with him. The dance party continued with 'I'll Be There' as the room filled with laser lights shooting from the stage, with puffs of theatrical smoke blowing upwards on the sides of the stage. He was welcomed with cheers and barks from the crowd. Like many other Korean artists, Jin didn't seem to understand the concept, but accepted it as a sign of affection, even barking back at one point during the concert. He asked the crowd how the concert was going, and when he was met with screams, he laughed in response, 'Ah, excited.' To build up the anticipation for ARMY, he had a countdown timer set for a minute before moving to the next portion, which consisted of more upbeat, melodic tunes. As he began 'With the Clouds,' from his recent album ECHO, the platform beneath him began to rise as if he were being placed in the sky with cloud graphics displayed behind him. The song, which goes through three tone changes without warning, seemed effortless for the singer. His steady voice shone through during the complex high notes, ensuring that he's not depending on any backtracks throughout the pitch changes. He immediately followed up with the steady but lively song, 'Falling.' He began his introduction with his signature move–staring seductively into the camera before blowing a kiss to the audience–proving his nickname as World Wide Handsome. He introduced himself as 'Jin of BTS,' which was met with more cheers at the mention of the beloved group he's been a part of for over a decade. He explained that the concert wasn't just any typical concert – it was designed to feel like a live episode of Run Jin. He had the audience learn a phrase spoken at the beginning and the end of his episodes. He will say '달리다' ('Run') and the audience must respond, 'Seokjin!' while moving their arm and finger across their body, symbolizing that the audience are his special guests in this episode. Instead of the traditional VCRs, fans were treated to fun games, which also meant the singer would have few moments to rest. After he performed 'Don't Say You Love Me,' the lead single from ECHO, he shared that they were going to play a game with a special guest. Everyone cheered, thinking it might be one of his members, but was met with a mixture of cheers and sighs when he revealed, 'Anaheim ARMY!' The first game was charades, where the audience had to act out the word for Jin to guess. On screen, audiences were given three outfit options from Run Jin – traditional Korean hanbok, taekwondo gi, or the farmer's look – that he would wear in the next set if they were to complete the mission. After two hilarious guesses, one of which he made fun of ARMY's interpretations, Jin was successful in the game, and the farmer's outfit was declared the winner. In the complete farmer outfit–a large straw hat, purple rainboots, and all–Jin performed his viral hit, 'Super Tuna,' to graphics reflecting the ridiculous nature of the song. He then had the audience pick a song to karaoke to while he changed for the next set. The audience picked a classic BTS song, 'Anpanman,' which had Jin dancing in the background of the karaoke video. Jin during his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 He appeared again onstage with a piano, introducing his slower, more heartfelt and heartbreaking songs, 'I Will Come To You,' 'Abyss,' Background,' and 'Another Level.' All of which showcased Jin's wide vocal range, including his impressive control of the high notes, proving that he's more than just a 'handsome face.' With his second game, ARMY had to sing snippets of select songs for Jin to guess correctly. The first guess was the all-English track, 'Don't Say You Love Me,' which proved easy for the American audience to understand. When it came to the second song challenge, which was BTS's debut song 'No More Dream' (and entirely in Korean), the audience failed to keep up with the Korean words, prompting Jin to poke fun at ARMY's limited knowledge of Korean. In the third song challenge, 'Loser,' which was a mix of English and Korean, the audience was able to perfectly sing the English parts while hilariously stumbling over the Korean portion. After the game, he continued the set with 'Loser,' followed by his country song, 'Rope It,' during which he donned a cowboy hat. Jin during his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 As homage to his group, he performed a BTS medley piece consisting of 'Dynamite,' 'Butter,' 'Mikrokosmos,' and 'Spring Day,' which caused several people in the crowd to burst into tears—images from their respective music videos played in the background of each song. Though Jin had made fun of ARMY's lack of Korean, it felt as if everyone in the room knew the [Korean] lyrics to Spring Day by heart. At least the ending vocal portion, which prompted Jin to stop and look into the crowd, taking in the moment. He then moved on to a new set design, one filled with graphics of the universe, for 'The Astronaut.' It felt inspired by his song collaborators, Coldplay, as the stage lights and ARMY Bombs (their official lightstick) shone in multiple colors, with giant planet balloons floating through the crowd. It showcased Jin's close connection with the British rock band, one that was mutually shared. He then ended the set with 'Nothing Without Your Love.' The time between the concert and the encore was a moment for fans to show off their posters, signs, costumes, and flags on the big screen. As each was shown, cheers echoed the arena as many were highlighted, including 'Thank You, Jin,' 'King Seokjin,' 'Can I Be Your Best Catch?,' and a poster with BTS saying 'We Are Back!' Before Jin appeared back on stage for the encore, a video-game style recap of Run Jin was played on the screens. Memorable moments from the series were played, and met with cheers, as 'I'll Be There For You' played over the speakers. Jin during his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Anaheim, CA, July 18, 2025 Wearing his Anaheim jersey merchandise, Jin stepped out from the darkness to sing his thoughtful ballad, 'Epiphany.' Afterward, he expressed his appreciation to ARMY for their continued support, promising to continue doing his best for them. He then challenged a few lucky ARMY to sing the introduction to 'Moon'–a song written with ARMY in mind–with him. The three challengers all passed with the notes, which left Jin impressed, as he sang the rest of the pop-rock song. Though many thought that was the end of the show, since Moon was Jin's love song to ARMY, he popped up to sing the final song, 'To Me, Today.' The uplifting song is about being in the moment and letting go of worries, which he wanted to send ARMY off with. As he sang, images from his Run Jin series appeared in the background to remind viewers that this was the entire reason he created the show and the concert — to allow audiences to enjoy and embrace it. The entire concert was a reminder of what J-hope said in the Run Jin finale, 'I'm sure you had fun watching the show, but he always thought long and hard about what he could do to make ARMY happy. He really is a fool who thinks only about ARMY. He does his best even in the toughest moments, and when he finds himself in unfamiliar environments, he naturally fits in. That's just who our Seokjin is.' And, it's apparent that ARMY truly loves him for it.

Yes, BTS Jin's Fully Exposed Forehead Became The Highlight Of His Anaheim Show

Last Updated: Jin had two shows scheduled in Anaheim, California, on July 17 and 18. BTS' eldest member, Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, is busy stealing fans' hearts all around the world with his first-ever solo tour, titled RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. His latest show in Anaheim, California, was no less than a spectacle either. With his magnetic stage presence, stunning vocals, and oh-so-handsome look, the 32-year-old singer has once again captivated his fans. From the moment Jin stepped onto the stage, he enthralled the concertgoers with his energetic performance. But more than anything, his heartfelt words touched the fans the most. At one point during his performance, Jin stopped and went on to express his nervousness about performing alone, and not with his group. 'I came here very worried, actually," he told the crowd, as captured by one of the fans in the audience. He added, 'So, I don't have my members with me first of all. And after doing shows, I feel like I wasn't in the best condition." If his fellow bandmates were there, they would have consoled him, Jin mentioned, while addressing his fans. He said, 'Usually the members next to me would say 'Gwenchana' [It's okay]." However, he was not alone. The K-pop idol added that he had his fans with him instead of BTS, saying, 'But then today when I came here, it's like instead of members, you guys hit the spot and you guys are saying it's okay, it's okay to me. To me, you guys are just as precious as the members." Jin concluded by telling the ARMY, 'Thank you" and adding, 'I love you ARMY!" Jin's heartfelt admission left his fans emotional. SEOKJIN: i came here very worried actually. So I dont have my members with me first of all. And after doing shows i feel like i wasnt in the best condition. usually the members next to me would say it's ok it's ok. but then today when i came here its like instead of members you… — hope⁷ (@winnttaebear) July 18, 2025 Besides his speech, another thing that became the highlight of his latest concert was his forehead. Yes, you read that right. Jin ditched his usual bangs hairdo and pulled his hair back, giving fans a glimpse of his forehead. And it became a trending topic on social media. One fan reacted, 'LOL, Jin's forehead really said hello in Anaheim! Another added, 'Worldwide Handsome Jin thee iconic handkiss guy forever, that facecard & holy forehead oh lord." A different fan joked, 'One of the reasons why Jin's forehead is superior is because we can experience fully the power of his eyebrows." Jin is currently on the American leg of his world tour, which began on June 28 in Goyang. The tour, in support of his debut album, Happy, and his second album, Echo, is scheduled to conclude on August 10 in Amsterdam. view comments First Published: July 19, 2025, 15:12 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. BTS RM and Jungkook can't get over Taehyung's post-military transformation; ARMY says: 'The way they can't stop…'

With their official comeback scheduled for 2026, BTS might be on hiatus, but the members are far from absent. From surprise concert appearances to casual livestreams, the boys have been slowly but surely making their presence felt, and giving ARMY plenty to talk about. But beyond the music, there's one hot topic that's taken over fan discussions lately: Who's the strongest BTS member right now? And, surprisingly — or not, if you've been keeping tabs — the answer is unanimous: Kim Taehyung. BTS Taehyung, Jungkook and RM During a recent back-to-back run of livestreams, RM, Jungkook, and V (Taehyung) dubbed themselves the 'workout crew', while making it very clear that one of them had leveled up far beyond the rest.'Shocking news! Kim Taehyung is stronger than me,' RM declared mid-live, with Jungkook quickly agreeing: 'He's stronger than me too.' The two couldn't stop raving about how V had completely transformed during his military service, especially after serving in the elite Special Duty Team (SDT) — South Korea's counter-terrorism unit known for its intense physical and mental training. While RM and Jungkook admitted they've stuck to mostly bodyweight workouts, Taehyung went full throttle with weight training. 'He's bigger than us. We can't even finish the sets he does now,' RM added. V, ever humble, laughed off the hype and insisted, 'You guys just started again. I've been consistent.' But his discipline clearly paid off — Taehyung has not only become physically stronger, he also achieved Sergeant rank, earned the elite Special Warrior badge, and was recognised as an ace marksman. For the next year, his name will be etched into the SDT's Hall of Fame. 'Taehyung was lifting weights in the Special Forces. He's way ahead,'RM said. 'I go every day at 9:30 now, but what Taehyung is doing is insane. I'd lose to him in a fight.' Fans are loving this transformation. Once known as the soft-spoken, sensitive 'Winter Bear,' V is now being called a 'real-life action hero.' 'The way they can't stop talking about Taehyung's physique 😭,' was one comment under a post. One more comment said, 'The bulk line is getting competitive, oh no 🥵.' Another claimed, 'These 3 are on mission to become HULKS.' While Suga has been laying low, and J-Hope and Jin are busy headlining solo shows in Tokyo and Berlin, the rest of the group — RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin — have been consistently showing up on livestreams, casually dropping gems like this. And as if things couldn't get more exciting, all seven members are now in the U.S., reportedly working on music together. J-Hope and Jin are expected to join the others in Los Angeles soon — making fans believe that something big, apart from Tae's biceps, is brewing.

'Hug and duck!' BTS Jin cracks up as ARMY bring up Coldplay concert cheating couple in guessing game

No one - literally no one - is ever going to forget what happened at Coldplay's Boston concert on Wednesday (July 16). Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who attended the concert, was caught on camera sharing an intimate moment with his company's Chief Public Officer, Kristin Cabot. It seems even BTS - despite their busy work schedules - have caught wind of the incident. BTS member Jin lit up the stage in Anaheim during his solo world tour, RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. As he does at every stop, he played a game of charades with his fans, known as ARMY. This time, the word was "Coldplay" - and things quickly turned chaotic. BTS ARMY reenact Coldplay cheating couple In a video clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), the word displayed on the screen was "Coldplay." Rather than simply miming the band's name, ARMY got cheeky and recreated the now-infamous "hug and duck" gesture - a viral reference to the Coldplay concert cheating moment. At first, Jin appeared visibly confused by the exaggerated physical hints. But as ARMY energetically performed the "hug and duck" move in dramatic fashion, he burst into laughter, realizing the clever nod to the scandal. At one point, Jin asked, "Is it my bro?" referring to Chris Martin, with ARMY screaming "Yes!" in response. The moment escalated hilariously until Jin finally guessed "Coldplay" correctly, prompting loud cheers for the playful and well-timed clue. THE WORD WAS COLDPLAY HE GOT IT BECAUSE OF THE HUGGING CHEATING ISSUE FROM COLDPLAY CONCERT The clip quickly went viral, thanks to ARMY's enthusiasm and Jin's infectious laughter - once again proving how BTS and their fans can turn even a simple game into a legendary moment. More about Jin's solo tour The eldest member of the group is currently in the midst of the North American and European legs of his first-ever solo tour, with upcoming shows scheduled in Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London, and Amsterdam. During his Anaheim concert, the eldest BTS member opened up about missing his fellow bandmates and reflected on what it feels like to perform without them. Admitting he had been nervous ahead of the show, Jin shared candidly, "I came here very worried actually. So I don't have my members with me, first of all. And after doing shows I feel like I wasn't in the best condition." He went on to explain how the absence of his members affected him emotionally: "Usually the members next to me would say 'Gwenchana' [It's okay]. But then today when I came here, it's like instead of members, you guys hit the spot and you guys are saying it's okay, it's okay to me." In a heartfelt moment that left fans teary-eyed, he added, "To me, you guys are just as precious as the members." Jin ended his message with a warm and sincere, "Thank you ARMY, I love you ARMY!" BTS Is Back: K-pop Supergroup's Anniversary Ushers in Long-Awaited Reunion

All members of BTS reunited last weekend, amid their 12th anniversary, following the completion of their mandatory military service. In celebration of their debut anniversary, a yearly event dubbed 'Festa,' was held over two weeks with both in-person and online activities that attracted 60,000 visitors, according to a release. On June 13 and 14, fans of the group — known collectively as ARMY — flocked to the INTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, South Korea, which leveled up in scale from events of previous years. Photo zones were installed along Goyang's Ilsan Lake Park. Coinciding with the group's celebration was the conclusion of member J-Hope's solo world tour, Hope on the Stage, with a two-night encore concert. On June 13, the first night of the series, all seven BTS members were spotted in attendance. Jin and Jung Kook joined J-Hope on stage, performing solo songs — 'Don't Say You Love Me' and 'Seven (feat. Latto),' respectively — and BTS songs including 'Jamais Vu' with J-Hope. The show and anniversary marked the end of a busy week for the group as members RM, V, Jimin and Jung Kook were discharged from their mandatory military service earlier that week, joining already released J-Hope and Jin. Suga is currently completing his mandatory military service as social work personnel, so while he was able to attend with his group members, he has not been officially discharged. BigHit Music, BTS' label under Korean entertainment giant Hybe, announced Wednesday that Suga is close to completing his service and will be discharged soon. Fans of the group have long awaited their return, although each member of the group found success with their solo work that has been released throughout the two-year enlistment period. In October 2022, BTS performed a massive free concert, titled Yet to Come, in Busan, South Korea. The concert, which was in support of the Korean city's bid for the 2030 World Expo, brought legions of ARMY from around the world. Days after the performance, BigHit Music announced that all seven members would be moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service, saying it was 'the perfect time' and that the group's members were honored to serve.
