She thought she was going to die in the C.B.N. wildfire. Now, she has no home and wonders what's next
Tina Dale thought she and her parents were going to die when fire, smoke and heat burst onto their doorstep. Theirs was one of 12 homes destroyed during the fires that burned in Adam's Cove. Now, Dale doesn't know what comes next. The CBC's Abby Cole reports.

A near-miss with a needle jammed in a tree is prompting a city councillor to demand more disposal sites
City of St. John's Coun. Greg Noseworthy says he was doing a park cleanup when he got up-close with a needle in an unusual spot. He says residents tell him needles are more of a common sight and designated containers to dispose of them are needed. The CBC's Abby Cole has more.

St. John's is getting a new mosque inside a former Catholic church

U.S. students get a gold medal lesson in curling while stranded in St. John's
