MBRCGI Launches Arabic Version of Systemic Design Toolkit to Boost Innovation Across UAE

The Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) has partnered with the UK's Design Council to release an Arabic edition of the Systemic Design Toolkit, aimed at empowering Arabic-speaking innovators to tackle complex global challenges with sustainable, holistic solutions. The toolkit features 11 practical tools aligned with the Systemic Design Framework's six core themes—from setting strategic vision and exploring root causes, to creating solutions and sustaining impact. It supports governments and individuals in addressing pressing issues such as climate change, urban development, and public service delivery through creative and structured methodologies. Abeer Tahlak, Director of MBRCGI, emphasized the UAE government's dedication to fostering innovation and sustainable thinking. She highlighted the Arabic toolkit as a key resource aligned with the UAE's 'We the UAE 2031' vision, designed to unlock potential and position the country as a global innovation hub. Minnie Moll, CEO of the Design Council, expressed enthusiasm for expanding access to the toolkit, enabling thousands of Arabic-speaking designers and innovators to adopt systemic approaches critical for addressing the climate emergency and other challenges. The toolkit includes specialized tools such as Design for Planet, Stakeholder Ecosystem analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Regenerative Business Canvas, all accessible via MBRCGI's Ibtekr online platform. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting a culture of creative problem-solving and sustainable innovation across the UAE and the wider Arabic-speaking region. Founded in 1944, the Design Council is the UK's national champion of design, committed to improving lives by fostering innovation and shaping policy toward a regenerative future.
