Ex-TNA Star Reveals He Rejected WWE's Offer To Face The Undertaker At Wrestlemania

TNA Wrestling star Abyss recently cleared the air regarding the rumours about him being approached by the WWE. Abyss, the monster a big name at tha TNA, revealed that he was approached by the WWE for a Wrestlemania match with none other than the great Undertaker. However, the offer was turned down by the TNA great, not once but multiple times. The Undertaker, popularly known as the Deadman, is one of the biggest stars ever produced by WWE and getting a match against him is a dream for many wrestlers. According to Wrestling World, Abyss revealed in an interview that he turned down WWE's offer because he did not want to leave TNA. Abyss stated that TNA made him a star and leaving them would have been like a betrayal to the ones who supported him right from the beginning. He was one of the original monsters of the company and even game many deadly matches and took TNA to new heights. However, in 2019, he joined WWE, not as as wrestler but a backstage producer. He helped others stars tell their stories but the fans did not get to see him inside the ring with The Undertaker. Talking about The Undertaker, one of the GOAT's of the WWE universe marked his rare appearance in the ring, as he decided to confront TNA champion Trick Williams in NXT segment on Tuesday. A fiery faceoff between the two began after Williams spoke critically about The Deadman's LFG team before taking a dig at the WWE Hall of Famer too. Williams ridiculed The Undertaker's legacy by asserting that he has been doing more than the legendary wrestler ever did for the company as TNA Champion. "Nobody in all of WWE is a Superstar like Trick Williams," the TNA champion said. It wasn't the first time Williams took a dig at The Undertaker. Earlier, he had said: "You're out here popping off like your knees ain't got no expiration date. I'm glad you like to roll your eyes in the back of your head, because I might just knock your as out tomorrow," Williams had challenged the legend.

I'm a WWE expert – I'm shocked the Netflix documentary went so far

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video When Netflix announced new docu-series WWE: Unreal, it's fair to say there were some concerns. I've been Metro's WWE and pro wrestling expert for almost six years now, travelling the world (and logging onto Zoom) to speak to the biggest names in sports entertainment, from The Undertaker and Becky Lynch to Triple H and Rhea Ripley. Even I had my reservations. I make a living out of sharing real life stories, but how far should the curtain be pulled back on a business built on the suspension of disbelief? The new five-part series – which launches today with all episodes available to binge – had promised an unprecedented look behind the scenes, from the writers room and beyond. After watching all five episodes over two days earlier this month, I can safely say director Chris Weaver has crafted a uniquely touching and surprising look at the world of wrestling that only adds to the magic. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. It's impressive that the team crafted something that will work for the uninitiated just as much as the diehard fanatic, succinctly explaining terms like 'heel' (bad guy), 'babyface' (good guy) and 'Gorilla Position' (WWE's backstage production hub) without patronising. Almost from the get-go in episode one, we get to see the writing room, getting a glimpse at how Paul 'Triple H' Levesque and his creative team put together hours of television a month. It almost feels a bit naughty listening into to these meetings over the entire season, as they debate Royal Rumble winners, John Cena's heel turn, and even how to motivate Jey Uso on the road to WrestleMania. Episode 1 – New Era Episode 2 – The Push Episode 3 – Worth the Wait Episode 4 – Heel Turn Episode 5 – WrestleMania There are moments fans have seen reports of in the news, but never seen with their own eyes. That all changes here. The first episode delves into the Raw premiere on Netflix in wild detail, even showing how producer Chris Park (AKA Abyss) worked with Seth Rollins and CM Punk on their January 6 main event. I found myself actually feeling a little heartbroken, as the TNA Wrestling legend got a dressing down from boss Bruce Pritchard for the match overrunning. It went down brilliantly with fans at the time, but here the executive calls it 'overwritten', leaving Abyss – a mountain of a man – almost cowering as he apologises and asks if Bruce is mad at him. It's not a moment that paints the executive in the best light. Elsewhere, we see Chelsea Green pushing back on the ending to her Saturday Night's Main Event match where she became the first ever Women's United States Champion. We delved into it with her last week, but seeing her discussions with producers – as well as hearing her journey firsthand – is fascinating. Just as engaging is the in-depth character pieces Netflix have created for each episode, putting the superstars front and centre as their true selves, with the likes of Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Triple H, Bianca Belair and more all heavily featured. One of the season's highlights comes in episode four, Heel Turn, which goes into startling detail on John Cena's turn to the dark side earlier this year. WWE's production is second to none, and their partnership with Netflix is on full display with a stunningly-presented timeline about how Triple H communicated with a close knit circle to pull it off without anything leaking. Triple H only spoke to The Rock, John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Travis Scott about the big plans, even keeping it hidden from right hand man Bruce until the very last second. The episode also showcases how WWE's veteran director had to call everything on the fly, cutting to different cameras and capturing the action despite not knowing what was coming. Cena's heel turn was thrilling to watch in the moment – but it's just as exciting follows the drama happening just behind the curtain. I won't spoil too much about the series, as it's a genuinely enthralling ride from start to finish, culminating fittingly at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. What I will say is that something many fans were fearful of may actually be the best thing for wrestling – and superstars like CM Punk still manage to tread the line without giving too much away. If you already love WWE, you'll love seeing how they create the magic. If you've never given it the chance, you'll gain a deeper respect for pro wrestling as an artform. You'll weep for Rhea Ripley as she breaks down her devastating shoulder injury which has left her with a lump on her shoulder until she finally decides to undergo surgery. More Trending You'll cheer for Jey Uso as he finally gets his moment at the Rumble with his son watching in the front row. And you'll gain a deeper respect for the men and women that step into the ring all in the name of entertainment. Yes, it's scripted. Yes, it's a show. But the glory, the drama and the sacrifice are as real as it gets. WWE truly is Unreal. View More » WWE: Unreal is available to stream on Netflix. Got a story? BTS' Jimin earns hilarious reply after he calls out Jin's ‘sloppy' stretching, SUGA and Jungkook react to solo Spring Day

Every time the BTS members come around, you can expect memes being created as they speak. Jin's solo concert was no different. As he stretched ahead of going on stage to debut his individual tour, Jimin popped in backstage to wish him well, but started off with a joke instead, calling out his lone stretching but praising him soon after. Jin reacted well to it and profusely apologized, earning laughter from everyone present. SUGA was not far behind with his own teasing, and Jungkook stuck to celebrating his solo journey instead. Jimin proves his adorable status in BTS The BTS members are closer than ever, and another example of that was seen during the behind-the-scenes moments from Jin's Run Seokjin concert in Goyang. SUGA entered, talking about how hot it had gotten, but the older member began talking about himself, only to be teased about the heat affecting the audience instead. Later, as the younger ones entered, the BTS matnae welcomed him with 'my Jiminie' remark, only to be scolded for his stretching skills in a military manner. A joke between the two, the Abyss star accepted it well and said he was sorry. Jimin expressed his excitement for the Run Seokjin Ep Tour. Like the mischievous younger member that he was, the singer spoke about pressurizing his hyung, only to laden more praise on his piano skills and overall concert. He added how fellow member Taehyung (V) had complimented his Rope It performance, but called it 'Tie me up' instead. In another moment from the concert, Jungkook and SUGA were seen nodding along, enjoying the solo version of their team track, Spring Day. The latter even played an invisible piano, probably recalling the many dozens of times the group had practised the song. The four grabbed a selfie backstage, which the fans are now demanding to be released.

Jin says solo tour makes him ‘think about BTS members a lot', J-Hope, V and RM support with their wild dancing

BTS member Jin is on the last few stops of his solo Run Seokjin Ep Tour, and in the new BANGTANTV video, the singer has shared behind-the-scenes moments from his performance at the first gig. Held over 2 days, the oldest from the team began his tour with concerts in Goyang. Interestingly, the BTS members appeared in sets of 3 each to support him on both days. Backstage moments have revealed how the singer misses his team while getting ready to go on stage. Jin feels lonely without BTS during Run Seokjin Ep Tour The newest episode on BTS ' YouTube channel runs over the many preparations Jin has to make for his solo concert. With long-winded rehearsals that go over every detail, and him praying for no mistakes with his piano session, at one point, the singer wonders if he even needs makeup. Already handsome enough, Jin does not need more grooming! One of the most talked about moments from the video includes him saying how, just ahead of going on stage, he would be having a meeting with the members, but now that he's alone, he misses having that time. He has time and again spoken about finding it tough to adjust on his own. Jin says, 'Normally, this would be when we'd have our members meeting, but there aren't any other members here. Having my own concert has got me thinking about the members a lot.' Luckily, he's then bombarded with support from J-Hope, who does not leave his side until the moment he has to step on the stage. With cheers, dancing, and more awaiting the Abyss star, his worries were soon thrown out of the window. Meanwhile, the video also showed V and RM breaking into a dance during Dynamite, as J-Hope shot them having fun on the first day of his solo concert in Goyang! Moreover, Jin was joined by YENA for the Loser collaboration stage, showing his gentlemanly manners to the highest potential.
