Acer Gadget unveils new AI-powered wearables at COMPUTEX 2025
Acer Gadget, a subsidiary of Acer Inc., unveiled two of its latest innovations at COMPUTEX 2025 — Acer FreeSense Ring and Acer AI TransBuds. These new products reflect the company's growing expansion into AI-powered wearables and real-time communication tools. Acer Gadget will also display its latest e mobility solutions — including e-scooters, e-bikes, and accessories — highlighting a broad innovation strategy that spans wellness, connectivity, and mobility. Crafted from ultra-lightweight titanium alloy, the ring tracks vital physiological metrics such as heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. The data points are analyzed through a companion mobile app, which generates personalized wellness insights and provides suggestions. With features such as sleep stage analysis and continuous tracking, the Acer FreeSense Ring helps encourage proactive health management and lifestyle awareness. Users also have full access to all health data without additional subscription fees, making the FreeSense ring a practical and reliable daily wellness companion. Notably, only one person needs to wear the earbuds to carry out effective translation, making it ideal for casual conversations, business meetings, livestreams, or online study sessions. The earbuds also support live captioning and transcription, helping users follow conversations in real time and review them later on. The system currently supports 15 major languages spoken across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Acer eMobility: Expanding Smart Urban and Outdoor Mobility Acer Gadget is also showcasing its latest e-scooters and e-bikes, designed for both urban commuting and outdoor recreation. These include the Acer eScooter Series 4 Select, Series 5 Select, Predator ES Storm, and Predator ES Thunder, each equipped with 400 W to 500 W motors, adaptive brake and suspension systems. Acer's first smart ring offers AI-powered health and fitness insights, no subscription required
Acer TL;DR Acer has jumped on the wearables bandwagon with two new AI-powered devices. The Acer FreeSense Ring is an advanced health and fitness tracking smart ring that uses AI to offer personalized insights and suggestions. The Acer AI TransBuds offer real-time translation with support for 15 languages spoken across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Acer has entered the wearables space through its subsidiary, Acer Gadget, and unveiled two new devices that will be showcased at Computex 2025 in Taiwan. These include a smart ring and a pair of wireless earbuds, both of which utilize AI to offer helpful features. Acer FreeSense Ring The new Acer FreeSense Ring features a lightweight titanium alloy build and, like other popular smart rings on the market, packs a host of biometric sensors to track your heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep. It uses AI to analyze your health and fitness data through a companion app and offers personalized wellness insights and suggestions. Acer What sets the smart ring apart from the competition is that none of its health and fitness tracking features are paywalled, and Acer won't charge users an additional subscription for the AI-powered insights and suggestions. The smart ring also offers an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and it will be available in matte rose gold and glossy black variants sometime later this year. Acer AI TransBuds The Acer AI TransBuds are lightweight wireless earbuds that aim to 'simplify multilingual conversation.' Acer says the earbuds offer 'real-time, two-way voice translation powered by AI-based speech recognition and semantic analysis' when connected to a smartphone via a plug-in receiver. Acer The TransBuds also support live captions and transcription, allowing users to track conversations in real-time and save transcripts for later. The translation feature currently supports 15 languages spoken across Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Hardware-wise, the earbuds feature 50mAh batteries, a charging case with a 400mAh battery, and Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity. Acer has not shared the price and availability details for its new AI-powered wearables yet, and it's not immediately clear if the devices will be available stateside. Acer Unveils Smart E-Bikes and E-Scooters at Taipei Cycle 2025
Acer Gadget, a subsidiary of Acer Inc., revealed its latest e-bikes and e-scooters at the Taipei Cycle 2025 tradeshow. The new models feature data-driven smart riding technology, improved hardware-software integration, and several system upgrades. These innovations aim to deliver smoother, more intuitive mobility experiences while expanding Acer's presence in the growing e-mobility market. One of the highlights is the new ebii-M, part of Acer's ebii e-bike series. It maintains the minimalist white frame design while introducing improved performance. Powered by the Bosch Performance Line SX system, it offers four riding modes and a range of up to 86 km. Riders benefit from a 250 W power output and a Bosch Purion 200 OLED display. Weighing just 19 kg, the ebii-M also includes modular front and rear racks. It is compatible with the Apple Find My app, making it easier to locate the bike if misplaced. Acer Gadget also presented the Predator eRanger, a fat-tire e-bike designed for both city riding and rougher terrains. It features a retro motorcycle-style frame, a Shimano 7-speed gear system, and three power-assist modes. A dual suspension system with external compression adjustments provides added comfort. Another model, the Predator eNomad-R, is already available in the US market. It includes a square-tube frame and expandable cargo racks. The Predator eRanger will be available in EMEA starting September, priced from EUR 1,499. In the e-scooters category, Acer introduced the Predator Thunder and Predator Storm. Both models are built for power and adventure. They work seamlessly with the Acer eMobility App, allowing riders to monitor vehicle status and adjust settings. The Predator Thunder comes with 10-inch all-terrain pneumatic tires and a dual suspension system. It features a 500 W rear-drive motor and handles inclines of up to 23%. Custom LED lighting improves visibility during night rides. Meanwhile, the Predator Storm is designed for agility. It has a lighter frame, front-fork suspension, and tubeless tires. It shares the same motor power and incline capacity as the Thunder but offers a longer battery range of up to 60 km. The Predator Storm is now available, starting at USD 699 or EUR 629. The Predator Thunder will launch in EMEA this September, with prices from EUR 799. To enhance the experience, the Acer eMobility App brings real-time ride updates and remote vehicle management. Riders can check battery levels, view ride history, and switch power modes easily through Bluetooth connectivity. More e-bike models and e-scooters now support the app, giving users better control and convenience. With these launches, Acer Gadget continues to strengthen its position in the e-scooters and e-bikes market. The brand remains focused on innovation, user-friendly design, and smart mobility solutions.
