‘Menamakanmu Cinta': Siti Nurhaliza, Ade Govinda reunite for wedding-ready love ballad (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 — Renowned Malaysian singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza and celebrated Indonesian composer Ade Govinda have returned to captivate fans with their latest collaboration, Menamakanmu Cinta, an emotionally driven love song. In a statement today, Siti Nurhaliza said the new single carries a positive message about appreciating loved ones. 'I hope this song will be enjoyed by all listeners and become a love anthem that brings together memories and emotions. It is also a reminder to cherish love in our lives. 'It was created with deep emotion and intention, with each lyric reflecting the beauty of true love,' she said. This is not their first collaboration — Ade previously wrote three songs for the national songstress for her 2014 album Fragmen, namely Terbaik Bagimu, Engkau and Tak Pernah Ragu. Ade, meanwhile, said working with the mother of two was a truly special experience. 'The initial idea for this song came from my desire to create a love song that could be sung at any wedding by anyone celebrating love. Working with Datuk Seri Siti was fast and enjoyable, and allowed me to explore her vocal range in an extraordinary way in a short period of time,' he said in a statement. He also expressed hope that Menamakanmu Cinta would become the soundtrack of life for anyone in love. 'It's not just about melody or lyrics, but a heartfelt expression that touches the soul and captures the depth of emotion between couples,' he added. — Bernama

Fazura launches new single ‘Luar Biasa' with message of resilience, composed by Indonesia's Ade Govinda
KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 — Following the success of the duet 'Raya Pum Pang' with Syasya Rizal, which gained popularity even in Indonesia, popular actress and entrepreneur Fazura is back with a new single titled 'Luar Biasa'. What makes this song interesting is that it carries a message of strength and personal resurgence. A collaboration between Fazura Studios and Universal Music Malaysia, the song is composed entirely by Indonesian singer-songwriter Ade Govinda. The 41-year-old singer, whose full name is Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, said the collaboration began after a brief online discussion that led to a creative process that took less than a week. 'Through a Zoom session, I immediately explained the concept of the song I wanted. I wanted something that could uplift the spirit — not a heartbreak song. Something suitable to listen to in the morning while driving, something inspirational,' she told reporters at the recent launch of her new song's music video here. According to Fazura, what pleased her most was that the lyrics, written by Ade along with Veron Savanoah, required no changes as they perfectly conveyed the message she wanted to deliver. The core theme of the song is 'Failing is normal but rising is extraordinary'. The 'Pendekar Awang: Darah Indera Gajah' actress also admitted to leaning more toward songs that empower, even though heartbreak songs usually receive more attention. 'As a woman, I think it's important for us to listen to songs that lift our spirits. If we listen to too many sad songs, we can get lost in our own emotions,' she said. Meanwhile, Ade Govinda described Fazura as approachable, professional and easy to work with in any situation. 'She's very down-to-earth and when she's working, her mood quickly turns positive. She's punctual, quick and easy to manage,' he said. — Bernama

Ernie Zakri is working on a collaborative album, "Sahabat"
5 May - Ernie Zakri recently revealed that she will soon be releasing another album, which will see her collaborating with friends from Malaysia and Indonesia. The singer, who spoke about the album titled "Sahabat", said that it will contain eight duet songs that she will be recording with her friends, including Dayang Nurfaizah and Ade Govinda. "This album is a collaboration between friends from two countries. In Malaysia, many people already know that I will be collaborating with Dayang Nurfaizah and Amir Masdi. In Indonesia too, I will collaborate with Anggi Marito, Rony Parulian, Andi Rianto and Ade Govinda. There are several other names, but this is still in the planning stage," she said. Ernie said that she has recorded four songs so far, with the other four currently being prepared. It is noted that Ernie has already collaborated with Indonesia's Ade Govinda through the hit songs, "Hal Hebat" and "Masing Masing". "Actually, because of the collaboration with Ade, I had a way and opportunity in Indonesia. I thought, why not make an album instead of just duet singles. I am collaborating with Universal Music Indonesia as well for the project," she said. It is noted that "Masing Masing" was previously recognised by the Malaysian Recording Industry Association (RIM) as the record holder for the longest-lasting number one song on RIM's domestic charts in 2024.
