You can once again buy the AirPods 4 for less than $90

We saw a ton of great Apple deals during Prime Day, most of which have disappeared. It's okay if you missed out, though, as some of our favorite deals like the M2 MacBook Air have either stuck around or have returned, like the low price on Apple's entry-level AirPods 4. Right now, you can pick up a pair for just $89.99 ($40 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, which is $1 shy of their all-time best price. Alternatively, you can buy the model with active noise cancellation for $119.99 ($60 off) at Amazon and Walmart, which is also $1 shy of matching the Prime Day price. Regardless of which version of the AirPods 4 you purchase, these earbuds deliver more bass-rich sound than their respective predecessors. They also boast the new Voice Isolation feature, which improves voice calls by noticeably reducing background noise while making your voice sound clearer. With an upgraded IP54 water and dust resistance rating, the AirPods 4 are also now as suitable for outdoor adventures as they are for sweaty gym sessions. And, as you'd expect, both pair well with the rest of Apple's ecosystem, so you can automatically switch between your Apple devices, make hands-free Siri voice commands, and more. The active noise cancellation on the pricier AirPods 4 doesn't drown out noise as effectively as the AirPods Pro, but still works well given the open design of the earbuds. Plus, the higher-end line offers a few other extra features not available for the entry-level pair. For instance, the more expensive AirPods 4 supports wireless charging and offers a transparency mode. And should you misplace them, they're easier to locate thanks to support for Apple's Find My app and the fact the case can emit sounds. Apple's AirPods 4 are the latest update to its base-model wireless earbuds. The hard plastic buds should have improved audio quality and spatial audio with head tracking for the first time. Know what's in Sai Sudharsan's bag, cricketer rumored to join 4th Test match at Manchester: VIDEO

As speculation grows around Sai Sudharsan's rumored Test debut for India, the 23-year-old batter gave fans a peek into his daily essentials and it's not just cricket gear. In a video titled 'What's in Sai's Bag?', Sudharsan unpacked items that reveal as much about his discipline as they do his taste. While selectors keep a close watch on his on-field performance, the off-field glimpse has added to the growing curiosity surrounding this rising talent. Functional, focused and fashion forward The short reel opens with Sudharsan casually pulling out a basic white towel and a change of white t-shirt—straightforward picks that hint at his structured, post-training routine. He then reveals a pair of sunglasses, saying, 'Since it's a trading day and a running day actually, I have my glasses out.' According to InsideSport's Rising Star page, the shades clock in at INR 13,000 (approx. USD 151.23). He also carries a pair of AirPods Pro reportedly worth INR 24,900 (approx. USD 289.66), calling them 'essential' for music during recovery. His wrist sports a fitness band worth INR 27,000 (approx. USD 314.09) that tracks strain, recovery, and sleep—a go-to gadget for athletes optimizing performance. Among the final items in his bag is a sunscreen and a bottle of Arabian oud perfume. 'Worked wonders for me,' he says about the sunscreen, priced modestly at INR 700 (approx. USD 8.14). The perfume, on the other hand, is anything but, retailing for INR 28,379 (approx. USD 330.13), it adds a clear touch of luxury. With apparel and high-performance tools in tow, Sudharsan looks every bit the athlete ready for red-ball cricket's grind—stylish, prepared, and locked in.

Talking Shop with Chace Crawford

Talking Shop is our series where we talk to interesting people about their most interesting buys. Maybe you originally know him from 'Gossip Girl,' but in the almost 12 years since the show's final episode aired, Chace Crawford has been busy. He's starred in numerous movies and TV shows (including 'The Boys'), started working as the chief creative officer for Jiant Hard Tea and, most recently, founded American Dream Clubhouse, a menswear brand. To help him get through his jam-packed days on set and at home, Crawford relies on a few tried-and-true items (including a strong cup of coffee), which I talked to him in detail about below. Want more from NBC Select? Sign up When cafes were closed during the pandemic, Crawford discovered this Breville espresso machine to make coffee at home, which he drinks first thing in the morning. 'I learned how to use it on YouTube, and if you do it right, which isn't hard, you have a perfect cappuccino,' he says. 'It's one of my favorite rituals after walking the dog and while I read some morning news.' Crawford brews his warm beverages into coffee and espresso mugs from Loveramics, which fit perfectly under the machine's spout, he says. 'If I'm traveling for an extended period of time, and especially if I'm filming, I'll bring this coffee pour-over cup and the filters that fit it,' says Crawford. 'It's relatively inexpensive, cuts down on time and makes really good fresh coffee if you can get decent beans and grind them.' The dishwasher-safe dripper comes in ceramic and aluminum, and it has a 4-inch base, so you can put it over any compatible cup or carafe. Crawford often brews his pour-over coffee into this stainless steel, vacuum-insulated travel mug so he can bring it with him to set. 'I swear it'll keep liquid hot or cold for almost 24 hours, and it's great to have on set,' he says. 'It also locks well, so no spills.' The mug comes in 12-ounce and 16-ounce sizes, and you have to hand-wash it, according to the brand. 'I really like nice sunglasses — they make me feel better and look more stylish and 'adult' than I actually am,' says Crawford. 'Even though you run the risk of losing sunglasses, I always go to Moscot. I have a few of their sunglasses, but the Lemtosh are my favorites. I take them everywhere, and since I live in California, I need them all the time.' The sunglasses come in narrow, average, wide and extra-wide sizes, as well as over 20 colors. You can also customize the lens type (prescription or non-prescription) and opt to get them polarized. 'Something I consider a luxury item but I use all the time are the AirPods Pro,' says Crawford. 'I know that's pretty generic, but I still think they're one of the greatest inventions of all time. I'm not cool or hip enough to still use the wired Apple headphones like the cool kids. I always have my AirPods on me so I can cook, walk the dog or do whatever while having phone conversations or listening to music and podcasts at the gym.' These earbuds come with a USB-C charging case and have three listening modes: active noise cancellation, transparency and adaptive audio. 'On set in my trailer, the number one most used thing that I always bring with me — its key — is a Kindle e-reader,' says Crawford. 'It's great because it's strictly for books, so it has no other distractions, and it's light, it's backlit, you can download as many books as you want and it looks like you're reading an actual page from a book. I also always have my Kindle on flights and on my nightstand.' Crawford has a Kindle Oasis, which was discontinued in 2024 — 'I don't know why, the thing is incredible,' he says. But Amazon's classic Kindle is comparable, offering a similar glare-free display, weeks-long battery life and large storage capacity. 'I love to cook, and a lot of my favorite things revolve around the kitchen or grill because it's how I like to relax and it's challenging,' says Crawford. 'I absolutely love the Big Green Egg, which I have in medium. It's charcoal, so it takes some getting used to and to get fired up, but I can make the best steaks and whole roasted chicken at home. I'll buy good quality meat from a reputable place and can honestly make better steaks at home than going out. It's definitely a hit with guests, too.' Another cooking tool he loves is Hestan's nonstick frying pan, which he relies on in the kitchen rather than outside with the smoker. 'This is random, but so many people who notice my phone ask me about this, end up buying it and loving it,' says Crawford. 'It's a stick-on matte screen protector that removes the glare but it's really the feel of it that I love.' The fingerprint-resistant screen protector has a smooth, silky texture, and it comes with camera lens protectors, too. Why trust NBC Select? I'm a reporter at NBC Select who writes our Talking Shop series, interviewing people like Dorinda Medley, Jing Gao, Tiler Peck and Sara and Erin Foster. To write this piece, I interviewed Chace Crawford about his all-time favorite products and what he relies on every day.

Are the first-generation AirPods Pro earbuds still worth buying?

The original AirPods Pro have been discontinued – read our AirPods Pro 2 review to learn more about Apple's latest earphones. You can still find the original AirPods Pro on sale as refurbished or used, however. But do they still stand up? Apple sold between 35 million and 59 million AirPods units in 2019, the upper end of which accounts for over 50 per cent of the market. Even at the lower end of that range, the AirPods are a big deal. The original AirPods Pro are a marked step up from the basic AirPods, and represent exceptional value if you can find them second-hand or refurbished. So they're popular, but are they still good? That's a trickier question to answer. There's no doubt that the basic AirPods offer good sound and a nice look, but they've been bugged by the same complaints since their introduction: for their price, the non-Pro AirPods don't offer the best sound, and for some ears, the fit simply doesn't work. Apple decided to fix this with the AirPods Pro in 2019, with a more recognisable bud design helping the fit, active noise cancellation (ANC) and a big leap in audio quality thrown in. Unsurprisingly, the AirPods Pro were released with fanfare and a pretty high price point, which has tumbled since the newer model arrived. They certainly look the part, and fit nicely into the Apple ecosystem, but are they worth the extra investment over the entry-level AirPods? How we tested We tested the AirPods Pro over several weeks, comparing their audio quality with the non-Pro versions as well as against rival earphones from Sony and Sennheiser. We tested across a range of music genres and podcasts to get a measure of their performance. Why you can trust IndyBest reviews David RS Taylor has been testing products for The Independent since 2021, with a focus on home tech, audio and smartphones. I Never Fly Without This Genius Bluetooth Dongle. Here's Why

If you fly often, you already know the routine. You settle into your seat, start messing with the in-flight entertainment screen, then remember that your AirPods won't connect. That means reaching for the airline's wired headphones that feel flimsy, let in every engine roar and make everything sound muffled. Just the worst. This is one of the most frustrating parts of flying, especially on long trips when decent audio can make all the difference. Between the engine noise, crying babies and that one guy snoring in 14C, you need a better option. The good news is I've found a simple device that fixes the problem completely and makes flying feel a lot more like streaming at home. The AirFly Pro has become a must-pack item in my travel bag. It's a simple Bluetooth dongle that lets me connect my wireless earbuds (like my AirPods Pro) directly to the airplane's entertainment system, no adapters or wired workarounds required. Since I started using it, I've stopped dreading in-flight audio and finally get to enjoy movies the way they were meant to be heard. If you fly often, this little gadget could completely change how you travel. The AirFly Pro lets me enjoy in-flight entertainment The AirFly Pro from Twelve South is a minimally designed dongle that lets me connect to the 3.5mm headphone jack in my airplane seat to listen to in-flight entertainment on my noise-canceling earbuds. All I have to do is pair the AirFly Pro with whichever Bluetooth headphones I'm using, like my AirPods Pro, plug the AirFly Pro into the display in front of me, and I'm all set. I don't even need to use my phone to connect the two devices. Geoffrey Morrison/CNET There are four versions of the AirFly: the AirFly SE, which sells for $35 on Amazon Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. I use the AirFly Pro, which has been a game-changer for me on flights. I've never had to worry about battery life since the AirFly Pro lasts for more than 25 hours and can fully charge in 3 hours. I can also pair two separate pairs of headphones to a single AirFly Pro, in case I'm with someone else on a flight and want to watch the same movie or show. And if that's not enough, the AirFly Pro also doubles as an audio transmitter, so I can turn any speaker with a headphone jack, like my old car stereo, into a Bluetooth speaker. Geoffrey Morrison/CNET The AirFly Pro makes a great gift for any traveler The AirFly Pro is the perfect present to give to someone who's planning to travel this year. Besides my Anker MagSafe battery pack, the AirFly Pro really has become my most treasured travel accessory when I fly, which is why I consider it to be one of those can't-go-wrong gifts.
