A 15% growth in new memberships at Ajman Chamber during Q1 2025
The Ajman Chamber has recorded notable membership growth during Q1 2025. The total number of new and renewed memberships reached 10,430, marking a growth rate exceeding 5% compared to the same period in 2024, which saw 9,901 memberships. This growth reflects the increasing confidence in Ajman's business and investment climate. It also underscores the Chamber's continuous efforts, in collaboration with its government partners, to foster a supportive and stimulating environment for business owners and investors. This is achieved through innovative services and initiatives that enhance the sustainability and growth of businesses across various economic sectors. New memberships saw a 15% increase, totaling 1,873 compared to 1,630 in Q1 2024. Additionally, renewed memberships grew by over 3%, reaching 8,557 compared to 8,271. The surge in membership is an outcome of Ajman Chamber's comprehensive strategy to boost the emirate's competitiveness as a leading investment hub. This strategy involves intensified participation in specialized exhibitions and events, both domestically and internationally, across vital sectors such as industry, trade, health, education, tourism, real estate, and construction, among others. Furthermore, the Chamber actively hosts trade and economic delegations and organizes specialized forums and workshops which facilitate knowledge exchange and explore collaboration opportunities, directly contributing to the Chamber's increased membership and attracting more companies and investors, thereby supporting the growth of diverse economic activities in the emirate of Ajman."

Ajman, China to boost bilateral investment and business relations
Ismail Al Naqi, Director-General of the Free Zones Authority of Ajman, affirmed that the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee in China aims to bolster bilateral investment and business collaboration. Speaking to the Emirates News Agency on the sidelines of his participation in China (Chongqing) - UAE Economic and Trade Investment Promotion Conference, Al Naqi emphasised that the MoU aligns with Ajman's strategic vision to become a leading regional hub for global businesses seeking expansion into the Middle East and North African markets. He underscored the emirate's commitment to supporting global investment and enhancing its status as an economic centre. Ajman's Free Zones Authority offers an integrated business environment with licencing, employment services, and diverse real estate options within a supportive regulatory framework, in line with Ajman Vision 2030. Al Naqi highlighted that the Chongqing partnership is crucial to Ajman's strategy of attracting high-quality investments and marks a significant step in strengthening ties with leading global cities, reiterating Ajman's dedication to sustainable economic growth through strategic, innovation-driven collaborations. Saudi Arabia King and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has offered his condolences to the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman on the death of Hamad bin Rashid Al Nuaimi. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, too, has expressed his deepest sympathies to the Ajman Ruler. Al Nuaimi, Advisor at the Ruler's Court in Ajman, passed away on Tuesday, May 20. Earlier, the Court of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, had expressed condolences to the family of the deceased. Throughout his career, Al Nuaimi held several key positions, including Director General of Ajman Port and a member of the Federal National Council representing the emirate. At the time of his passing, he was serving as the First Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was a member of various specialised committees and councils. 7% growth in membership of industrial establishments in Ajman during 2024
H.E. Maher Taresh Al Alili, Board Member of the Ajman Chamber, affirmed that the manufacturing sector is considered one of the most prominent vital sectors in the emirate of Ajman, contributing 18.8% to the GDP. This reflects the growth in the number of industrial establishments in the emirate of Ajman, which reached approximately 1,549 factories in 2024, compared to 1,444 factories, representing a growth rate exceeding 7%. Furthermore, the 7.5% growth in the number of factories during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year underscores the continued development and steady upward trajectory of the sector in supporting the local economy and enhancing the emirate's position on the map for attracting industrial investments locally, regionally, and internationally. He stated, "The participation of the Ajman Chamber within the emirate of Ajman's pavilion at 'Make it in the Emirates' under the theme 'Accelerating Advanced Industries' presents an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the industrial sector in the emirate, introduce local products, and foster opportunities for cooperation and partnerships. This will support the expansion of industrial establishments, increase their production capacities, and stimulate innovation and technology within the industrial business environment." Al Alili clarified that "Make it in the Emirates" is a strategic national platform that brings together decision-makers, investors, and leaders of the industrial sector to exchange expertise and knowledge, review industrial investment opportunities, strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, support local supply chains, and highlight national industry to access foreign markets and increase the rates of local product exports. He pointed out that the Ajman Chamber continues its efforts in developing the industrial sector, enhancing its competitiveness and investment growth, and encouraging its members from industrial establishments to adopt innovation and modern industrial technologies to increase production rates in line with the national directives of the UAE in developing the industrial sector.
