Football Federation: Libya Cup semifinals to be held in Tripoli and Benghazi
The Libyan Football Federation has announced it has reached an agreement with the four clubs that qualified for the Libya Cup semifinals to hold the matches inside the country, specifically in Tripoli and Benghazi, on August 16. According to the approved schedule, Tripoli International Stadium will host the match between Al-Ahly Benghazi and Al-Akhdar, while Benghazi International Stadium will host the other semifinal between Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Ittihad. The federation revealed that the final match may be held outside Libya if it cannot be organized locally, with Tunisia or Algeria being considered as the most viable options due to their logistical and organizational proximity. Earlier, Football Federation President Abdulmoula Al-Maghrabi confirmed that the matches would not be held in Italian stadiums, after authorities there declined to host them, following the conclusion of the Premier League championship playoff, which is set to end on Sunday.
