Al-Arabiya TV Host Rasha Nabil Slams Hamas Official Sami Abu Zuhri for Saying Gaza Casualties Are Offset by New Births: Hamas Leaders Should Shut Up Already, Such Rhetoric Is Unacceptable! Palestinian

Al-Arabiya TV host Rasha Nabil, speaking on Al-Arabiya Network (Saudi Arabia) on May 21, 2025, responded to recent statements by Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri (see MEMRI TV Clip #12014), saying that they have 'caused a wave of anger and widespread resentment among Palestinians.' Nabil criticized the Hamas leadership, saying they 'should just shut up,' as such remarks only deepen the suffering of the people in Gaza and fuel public outrage. She called the rhetoric 'unacceptable,' accusing Hamas leaders of being detached from reality and showing a blatant disregard for the Palestinian people. Nabil condemned such statements as suggesting that 'Palestinian blood is cheap,' firmly stating: 'Palestinian blood is not cheap!' She questioned how any Palestinian mother could express such sentiments about child victims, calling such talk unbearable and beyond comprehension.

Israeli Occupation Forces Operation in Khan Yunis Fails as Gaza Bombardment Intensifies

An Israeli occupation special forces operation in Khan Yunis ended in failure Sunday, as the Israeli occupation military continued its bombardment campaign across the southern Gaza Strip. According to media reports, Israeli occupation forces disguised as women attempted to infiltrate an area west of Salah al-Din Street in northern Khan Yunis, allegedly searching for Israeli prisoners. The operation failed to achieve its objective, resulting instead in the death of a Palestinian civilian and the abduction of his wife and children. Ahmad Kamel Sarhan was field-executed and his wife and children were kidnapped this morning by an undercover Israeli special unit which infiltrated a location in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, according to local sources. — Quds News Network (@QudsNen) May 19, 2025 This failed operation comes just one day after the Israeli occupation military announced a major ground offensive in both northern and southern Gaza as part of what it calls 'Operation Gideon.' Overnight, the Israeli occupation forces conducted approximately 40 airstrikes across Khan Yunis. The bombardment continued into Monday morning, with Israeli warplanes targeting areas throughout southern Gaza, including a room inside Nasser Medical Complex, one of its shelters, and the Mawasi area. Heavy bombing was also reported in Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis. Palestinian Medical sources reported that 28 people were martyred in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since dawn today. At least six Palestinians were killed this morning following a series of Israeli attacks on innocent civilians in Khan Younis. The strikes coincided with the infiltration of an undercover Israeli special unit that field-executed a Palestinian man, Ahmed Kamel Sarhan, and… — Quds News Network (@QudsNen) May 19, 2025 The Director General of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Mohammed Abu Salmiya, told Al-Arabiya TV that two kidney patients had died two hours earlier due to the lack of medical supplies due to the blockade. Citizen Ayman Hamdan Al-Amour was martyred in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his home in the Al-Amour area of the Al-Fakhari neighborhood, east of Khan Yunis, this morning. Patients and the wounded are being evacuated on foot from the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, which is currently under siege by Israeli occupation forces. Artillery strikes have also been reported in the vicinity of the hospital. — Quds News Network (@QudsNen) May 19, 2025 Five others were martyred and others were injured when Israeli aircraft targeted a group of citizens near the Al-Faluja market, west of Jabalia camp, in the northern Gaza Strip. The overnight assault near Hamad City in northwestern Khan Yunis resulted in five Palestinian deaths and four injuries when Israeli forces bombed a residential home.

20 Israeli airstrikes hit 'Hezbollah military complex' in Nabatieh region

by Naharnet Newsdesk 08 May 2025, 12:21 Around 20 violent Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted a mountainous area in the Nabatieh district without prior warning. Some Israeli reports said the airstrikes hit an "important Hezbollah target" as Al-Arabiya TV quoted an Israeli security source as saying that 'the targeted Hezbollah military complex contained anti-tank missiles and (Hezbollah) members.' 'The army targeted a Hezbollah military complex in Nabatieh which contained tunnels and weapons,' the source added. "We heard a loud strike, about 10 consecutive blows," Jamal Sabbagh, a 29-year-old doctor who was giving schoolchildren health checks near the city of Nabatieh, told AFP. "Some of the children were scared and there was panic, the teachers were also frightened," he said. The raids come a day after an Israeli strike killed a commander from Palestinian militant group Hamas in the southern city of Sidon. Israel has continued to launch regular strikes in Lebanon despite the November 27 truce which sought to halt more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah including two months of full-blown war. Under the deal, Hezbollah was to pull back its fighters north of Lebanon's Litani River, some 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the Israeli border, and dismantle any remaining military infrastructure to its south. Israel was to withdraw all its forces from Lebanon, but it has kept troops in five areas that it deems "strategic". Lebanon says it has respected its ceasefire commitments and has called on the international community to pressure Israel to end its attacks and withdraw all its troops.
