Ahmed bin Hamdan attends Al Hamriyah Sailing Championship ceremony

Al Hamriyah Club to host two international sailing competitions
Both races are part of the UAE Sailing Champion Series' third round, which is being hosted by the club. The international sailing competition will involve national teams from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Iran. Al Hamriyah Modern Sailing Team's training facility will host all three competitions. Boosting local talents Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Club, emphasised the value of holding such an international championship in helping UAE-based players improve their talents via exposure to foreign competition. Gratitude for national recognition Al Shamsi thanked the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (SARF), led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, for choosing Al Hamriyah as the venue of the first global "phygital" championship. He underlined that the event demonstrates the UAE's pioneering role in various areas.

It attracted a large number of sports enthusiasts from the local community. Al Hamriyah Club concludes its Ramadan initiative
A Cherished Ramadan Tradition His Excellency emphasised that "Iftar for Passersby" is a cherished Ramadan tradition that Al Hamriyah Club has consistently upheld. The initiative aims to distribute iftar meals to those passing through the area, ensuring they can break their fast on time. A Commitment to Community Service He further highlighted that this initiative reflects the club's deep commitment to humanitarian and social responsibility. He also expressed his gratitude to Al Hamriyah Comprehensive Police Station for its valuable cooperation in ensuring the success of the initiative. Hundreds of Meals Distributed As part of the initiative, a total of 400 iftar meals were distributed over the course of Ramadan, with 100 meals handed out each Tuesday. The initiative was organised under the supervision of the club's Cultural and Community Committee.
