Al Pacino's son Ramon looks just like him when he was young as ex Noor takes the child to a park
Al Pacino 's little look-alike son Ramon was spotted enjoying a fun day at the park with his mom in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The Oscar winner, 85, shares the tyke with film producer Noor Alfallah, 31. Mother and son were seen enjoying the slide at sunny Coldwater Canyon Park. Alfallah looked relaxed in faded black jeans with a black hoodie and black and white Adidas sneakers. The Apprentice executive producer's long dark hair was brushed straight and she appeared to be wearing little makeup and place dark sunglasses atop her head. Young Ramon, who turns two June 30, looked adorable in a white T-shirt, black shorts and beige sneakers. He seems to have inherited his father's wavy black hair. The toddler, who has several teeth, held on tight to a little snack pack as he and his mother took their turn on the slide. Pacino and Alfallah began their May-December relationship bumping in to each other at the celebrity hotspot E. Baldi in Beverly Hills a year after initially meeting at a dinner hosted by mutual friends. 'I thought it was cool. I thought, wow, that's Al Pacino. I went to film school, so I wasn't dumb about who he was,' she told Vogue Arabia. 'He's a very talented and unique person. But I had no intention of thinking like, oh, he is going to be my son's father one day.' The two discovered they lived close by each other and during the pandemic, she said, 'we started spending every day together, playing chess and watching movies. It was like film school with Al Pacino,' she said of the experience. Explaining the transition from friends to lovers, she said merely, 'I guess, it just became something more.' Although many were surprised at the 53-year age gap, Alfallah seemed to take it all in stride. 'I've been an old soul all my life,' she claimed. 'I have friends who are 70 years old; men and women who are just totally my friends who I love, who I'd rather be with than people my age. I've always been like that.' 'I don't know why. I think I like the wisdom, the experience, the life in them. That's attractive to me.' Alfallah and Pacino are not together romantically any more, but they reunited professionally for their next project. She is a producer on Dead Man's Wire, a film based on the true story of a former real estate developer who takes the mortgage banker who did him wrong hostage using a sawed-off shotgun, demanding $5 million and a personal apology. Pacino stars along with Bill Skarsgård and Coleman Domingo in the historical thriller set for release later this year.

Sonny Boy by Al Pacino audiobook review – from the South Bronx to Hollywood
The title of Al Pacino's memoir comes from the nickname given to him by his mother when he was growing up. His parents divorced when he was two, after which he and his mother moved in with his grandparents in the South Bronx, where violence and drugs were rife. One day, six-year-old Pacino was playing outside with his friends when he saw an ambulance pull up outside his grandparents' tenement. He ran towards the building 'and there, coming out of the front doors, carried on a stretcher, was my mother. She had attempted suicide.' Pacino, now 85, is our gravel-voiced narrator and his performance here is wonderful: warm, fitfully jovial and more intimate than you might expect from an actor who has spent much of his life keeping the public at arm's length. As well as detailing early traumas – Pacino's mother died when he was 22 from an accidental overdose – Sonny Boy covers the actor's burgeoning love of cinema (his mother used to sneak him into movie theatres when he was little) and his time as a struggling theatre actor working menial jobs before finding fame with The Godfather. Though the book is short on details about his recent life, it digs satisfyingly deep into his acting career. While appearing in a stage version of Strindberg's Creditors, Pacino suddenly had an epiphany: 'Words are coming out, and they're the words of Strindberg, but I'm saying them as though they're mine. The world is mine, and my feelings are mine, and they're going beyond the South Bronx. I left the familiar. I became part of something larger.' The Ritual review – Al Pacino is priestly mastermind in tale of infamous real-life exorcism
This low-budget, minor-key and – frankly – dreary horror feature offers yet another dramatisation of the 1928 exorcism of a young woman (played here by Abigail Cowen), known by her alias Anna Ecklund and her real name Emma Schmidt. The real-life ritual, which transpired at a nunnery in Iowa, was overseen by elderly German Capuchin priest Father Theophilus Riesinger (Al Pacino) and local cleric Father Joseph Steiger (Dan Stevens) and written up as a pamphlet ('Begone Satan!') that went on to shape the public understanding of exorcisms. All that historical detail is transfused into a weak tea of a script, credited to the film's director David Midell and Enrico Natale. They have generated a work that is a little more interested in background and context instead of sweary pyrotechnics and supernatural fireworks often found in demonic-possession-themed features, the most notably The Exorcist from 1973. But we still get bits of levitation here and there, and moments when poor possessed Emma seems to free-solo the walls of the dank basement room she's locked in. At other points, she inexplicably vomits what look like tobacco leaves and speaks in a variety of exotic tongues. The men of the cloth stoically soldier on while an assortment of nuns stand by looking petrified and aghast. It's perhaps unfair to ask that a film be an entirely different creature than the one the film-makers intended to produce. But in this case, it feels a bit disappointing that the cast and crew worked so hard on the historical roots and verisimilitude stuff, and then insisted on sticking with the idea that Emma was literally possessed, instead of exploring how she might have a mental illness, coupled with childhood trauma. At least Pacino doesn't seem to be taking any of it seriously as he phones in an uncharacteristically low-volume performance whose most distinguishing feature is the Mitteleuropean accent that makes him sound as if he's reprising his performance as Shylock from The Merchant of Venice. Stevens, for his part, just looks as if he's waiting for all this to be over (not unlike the character he plays) so he can go back to working on the sort of kooky, craft-stretching roles he's been having so much fun with lately, such as his mad scientist in Cuckoo or his German-speaking android in I'm Your Man. Even so, his presence somewhat improves this schlock. The Ritual is in UK and Irish cinemas from 30 May
