The Buffalo Bills took on their 2025 NFL training camp last week from Orchard Park. Attendance was reportedly good, it even included Pro Bowl running back James Cook who was previously holding out of OTA workouts. Advertisement While players did show up to minicamp, not everyone was actually working. Despite still being a long way away from the start of the regular season, the Bills did still take the safe route with some and allowed them to sit out of practice because of injury or other reasons. Here is the full list of players that reportedly sat our of minicamp workouts. Spencer Brown on Bills re-signing OL Alec Anderson: 'Straight up football player'

The Buffalo Bills announced this week that the team re-signed offensive lineman Alec Anderson to a one-year contract. An exclusive rights free agent, Anderson couldn't negotiate with other teams once offered a contract from Buffalo. He will now be back for 2025 and has a full offseason with the Bills ahead of him. Anderson served as the team's sixth offensive lineman, which proved to be an important role, in 2024. The Bills ran the most plays in the NFL with six offensive linemen. And, it was a big reason why the Bills' rushing game was effective this past year. Not only does Anderson have a role as the sixth offensive lineman, but he can also back up multiple spots on the offensive line should someone have to miss time. Anderson was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft and has spent the next couple of seasons on the practice squad. The former UCLA Bruin's number was finally called upon in 2024, and he was ready to make his mark in the offense. His teammates have taken notice of his play and the energy he brings to the offense. Fellow offensive lineman Spencer Brown praised Anderson this week in an interview with Matt Bove of WBKW. 'Couldn't be happier to have Alec back,' Brown said. 'What he does for us as an offense… able to bring another guy in there to run and pass block… and outside of that he can also back up all the interior spots. He's definitely a key piece in the Swiss army knife here in Buffalo. 'He's just a straight-up football player, he learns the technique, but outside of technique, he's just a true offensive lineman and nasty… but it's also controlled. He's an example of the guys we have in the building… we're not flashy, we don't expect any shoutouts in the media… we just come and do our job. If you have ten guys that can do that and you have the MVP at quarterback you can be pretty successful.' In 2024, the Bills averaged the second-most points per game in the NFL (30.9) while ranking in the top ten in both passing yards per game and rushing yards per game. A big reason they were able to be balanced on offense was because of the offensive line. Luckily for the Bills, they will return their entire starting offensive line in 2025 as they try to build on a season that ended with their QB receiving the NFL's MVP award.
