How to wear white jeans in summer: 7 ivory and cream denim outfit ideas that feel SO seasonal

White jeans deserve a place in your summer wardrobe. First things first: yes, you *can* wear denim in summer. Sure, it's maybe best avoided in favour of a floaty summer dress on days when the sun is really beating down. But when the clouds crowd in (an inevitably when living in the UK, even in July) or you're wanting to dress a little more modestly, white jeans have all the seasonal vibes. More so than your trusty blue denim. With a little more structure than linen trousers and formal enough to double as workwear as well as off-duty, there's no shortage of occasions white jeans work for. Plus, available in a whole host of silhouettes from barrel cuts to wide-leg styles, there are plenty of options, whatever your favourite jeans trend. All that's left to figure out is what to wear with your white jeans. Luckily, the street style set are providing guidance on how to wear them in 2025. Keep scrolling for all the white jeans outfit inspo... Sure, you've likely tried pairing a blue denim jacket or waistcoat with jeans, but the look works just as well with white denim. In fact, it's actually much easier to pull off as there's less variation in the colour of white denim. We know you know butter yellow is the colour of the season, and we're still not over wearing it. Try styling a butter yellow top or accessory with white jeans for a fresh take. The easiest way to wear white jeans? With a white t-shirt or top – something everyone already has in their wardrobe. To stop your outfit from feeling too clinical, add at least one element in a different colour. It's best to pick an accessory to stay true to the trend, like a black bag or colourful shoes. If white jeans feel a little too ~clean~ for you, a leather jacket instantly toughens up your entire outfit. You can't go wrong with black or brown leather for timeless style. Of course, leather can feel a little too harsh against white denim. Luckily, the street style set has found the perfect alternative: a brown suede jacket. Take your pick from a blazer, barn jacket, or a fringed design to tap into the boho revival. White jeans have a more formal feel than blue denim, making them perfect attire for occasions that require you to dress up but you still want to feel comfy. Lean into the formality by styling with gold, be it a sequin top or tweed jacket with glittery thread. Add a pair of heels and you're good to go. Follow Alex on Instagram. Animal print is 2025's most divisive trend, here's all the different ways to wear the look

Fashion's love for the prints of the animal kingdom is boundless this season. From full-on matching sets allowing you to don the trend head-to-toe, to more subtle hints in the form of patterned footwear. We've seen every take on the trend this season, but just how much are we *actually* wearing it? Here, two Cosmo staffers debate whether animal print has a place in their personal wardrobes... With leopard, zebra, tiger, snake and cow prints appearing on the SS25 runways everywhere from Roberto Cavalli to Jacequemus and the street style set, too, our wardrobes are starting to resemble a zoo. While many have branded this recent influx an 'animal print revival,' these patterns have always been a mainstay in my style arsenal. From a zebra print belt to tiger-striped ballet pumps and a faux snakeskin bag, I rely on animal print accessories to provide a little interest in an otherwise minimal outfit. Or, if I'm feeling bold, I'll wear my leopard print puff-sleeve blouse or cow print jacket as statement pieces. As for what to pair them with? They'll go with pretty much everything you already own: denim, tailored trousers, satin midi skirts – you name it. I can confirm, animal prints are indeed a neutral. – Alexandria Dale, Senior Fashion Writer Don't get me wrong, in a year defined by Pantone's 'mocha mousse' I'm all for a little colour and vibrancy in our wardrobes. I don't, however, believe that comes in the form of animal print, unquestionably ruled by the trademark spots of leopard print. Despite many designer labels putting their mark on the pattern, I can't help but find it quite cheap-looking and, dare I say, cheugy? Any design that simultaneously suits both the 'mob-wife' aesthetic *and* Tiger King is a no from me. So, I'm sorry, but you won't see me at the checkout of any high-street retailer with a pair of leopard print jeans in my hands. In any case, TikTok culture has taught me enough about the longevity of trends, and I can't see this one lasting. – Amy May Ellis, SEO Executive Alexandria Dale is the Digital Fashion Writer at Cosmopolitan UK. 6 sandal trends to wear with your fave summer dresses for endless outfit inspo this season

In case you missed the memo, sunshine is on the way and we're already thinking about ways to beat the heat. Especially when it comes to our wardrobes. Yep, we can safely say we'll be wearing summer dresses and sandals all season long. Transitioning effortlessly from your nine-to-five to picnics in the park, this easy breezy combo doubles as a polished workwear outfit and a chic AF off-duty ensemble, too. It's a failsafe – and that's why we'll be turning to it repeatedly. To keep it feeling fresh, we've scoured the spring summer 2025 runways and the street style set to bring you this season's biggest sandal trends and the dresses you should be wearing them with. Keep scrolling for outfit inspo and the best ways to wear a dress and sandals, right now. Heeled flip flops have been confirmed as the shoe of the summer. Lean into the minimalist '90s aesthetic and pair with a simple, spaghetti-strap block coloured dress. Love 'em or loathe 'em, ugly shoes are in, so get on board. From charms threaded through laces to statement stones affixed to the top of strappy styles, embellished sandals are something we're seeing more and more of. We're certainly not complaining about it – oozing luxe vibes, they're a great way to dress up a denim dress. Miu Miu bears sole responsibility for sparking the trend for rope sandals after the Italian fashion house sent models strutting down its spring summer 2024 runway in footwear fashioned from bungee-esque cords. The trend has taken over the high street this season, with remarkably similar designs for a fraction of the price! Juxtapose the sporty feel with a shimmery, sequin dress. Embrace the natural textures head-to-toe by wearing your raffia sandals with a linen, floaty cotton or crochet dress. A woven bag will provide the perfect finishing touch. Hermès and The Row might have both sent toe-ring sandals down the SS25 runways , but it's Zara's take on the trend that's gone viral. Other high street brands have followed suit, making it easier than ever to get in on the trend without breaking the bank. Wear yours with a fuss-free knit maxi. Mirror the wrap-around tie details of this style of sandal with a dress that features fringe detailing, or lean into the boho style with a floaty, flared skirt design. Follow Alex on Instagram. This easy, 10 second fashion hack instantly elevates every outfit – and it's already in your wardrobe!

Sound the fashion klaxon! There's a new trend we're getting *really* excited about: silk scarf belts. When it comes to must-have items you need in your wardrobe for spring, a silk scarf is top of the list above any jacket or bag trend we've been lusting after. Why? Because it's the quickest and easiest way to make any outfit feel fresh, cool and more exciting. So, how do you wear a silk scarf as a belt? Our favourite way is with a t-shirt and jeans to instantly elevate our basic, go-to combo. Roll the scarf into a thin, long strip and thread it through your belt loops, or fold it in half bandana-style and wrap it around your waist. The look works just as well layered over a skirt or summer dress. Try pairing a patterned scarf with a satin slip to give a simple 'fit extra interest. Belts were big news on the autumn/winter and spring/summer 2025 runways, and the silk scarf belt trend taps into this. It's also the perfect continuation of the triangle scarf trend we were obsessed with last season. But now that the mercury's rising, we're ditching knitted versions knotted round our necks in favour of silky satin styles tied round our hips. Chances are, you likely have an old, long-forgotten silk scarf buried somewhere at the back of your wardrobe. If not, your mum definitely will! The high street is full of them at the moment, so it's never been easier – or more affordable – to get in on the trend. Keep scrolling for all the May outfit inspiration and how to style a silk scarf belt. Follow Alex on Instagram. Alexandria Dale is the Digital Fashion Writer at Cosmopolitan UK.
