Inside Zoella's jaw-dropping £1,700,000 mansion with huge vegetable garden
Zoe Sugg and fiancé Alfie Deyes have shared their lives online for over a decade, with their incredible family home often providing the backdrop for their videos. The YouTube star, also known as Zoella, moved into the property with Alfie back in 2017 and has since been sharing glimpses of the stunning mansion online. Zoe, 34, often treats viewers to afternoons in her sprawling garden, banana bread baking in a white-tiled kitchen perfect for those pristine Insta shots, and a look inside her very organised pantry. Zoe and Alfie, who are parents to daughter Ottilie Rue, three, and Novie Nell, who turns two in December, are the proud owners of a seven-bedroom home which screams Instagram influencer with its chic interior, fresh flowers and bright and airy colours. The Sussex mansion, which was listed on Zoopla for £1,749,000 in June 2017, features four bathrooms, five reception rooms and a sprawling landscaped garden – which Alfie has overhauled with an incredible vegetable patch and greenhouse. The FCA does not regulate most Buy to Let mortgages. Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. The couple are growing everything from tomatoes to cucumbers and sweet peas, with Zoe enlisting the help of her mum Tracey to create seedling trays in their greenhouse. The garden even features an incredible playground for the children complete with swings and climbing frames. As well as a high-end kitchen complete with a separate (very organised) pantry, Zoe has shared glimpses of a coffee bar, a bright orange Aga oven, and sliding French doors leading out to their sprawling garden. Known for spending plenty of time in the kitchen, the influencer and sister of Joe Sugg is the proud owner of only the best household appliances, including a very trendy copper KitchenAid and Nespresso machine. The bathroom is one of our favourites, with its huge chrome tub and bath rack to hold those all important scented candles, cups of tea, and a good read. Speaking of books, she even has a very impressive collection of her books on her shelves, as well as a stunning fire to sit by to read them in one of her living rooms and a flat screen TV up on the wall in case she favours a Netflix binge instead. From vintage record players and telephones to photo prints and house plants, Zoe sure knows how to dress up a room. And it sounds like there's nothing she likes more than 'cosy' days inside her plush pad. She told fans: 'Cosy Sunday with the storm blowing around outside! About to crack on with the pantry organising and I am sadly very excited about it.' Zoe and her fellow YouTube star partner Alfie have been living in their incredible home since 2017 and at the time they moved in, Zoe had shared a vlog with fans on her YouTube channel. She revealed: 'We've been packing since February. We decided to do it ourselves – don't do that. It takes so long it consumes your life. 'We've still being trying to do other things and pack but it's been very difficult – that is why there's been a lull in the old vlogs.' More Trending Vloggers Zoe and Alfie began dating in 2012, having met through YouTube. Now dubbed Zalfie, the pair started off as friends and would often film videos together along with the rest of the 'Brit Crew', which included Zoe's brother Joe Sugg, Marcus Butler, Louise Pentland, Jim Chapman, and more. After 10 years together, the pair got engaged in 2023 on a romantic getaway to Greece. Sharing the happy news at the time, Zoe was seen brandishing her brand new diamond ring in a sweet black and white video. Got a story? Edinburgh kids' festival marks 35 years of theater magic
This year's jamboree, which ends today, marks 35 years of the festival, 10 of them under the excellent, out-going director Noel Jordan. As one has come to expect of Jordan, his 2025 programme is both carefully curated and wonderfully adventurous. A case in point is the excellent physical theatre piece The Show For Young Men. Created by Scottish company Guesthouse Projects, this piece (which has its last festival show at The Studio venue this afternoon) coincides nicely with the bringing of serious charges against the notorious misogynist Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan. There has never been a better time to remind boys and young men that masculinity comes in more flavours than simply 'toxic'. In this delightful show – which is aimed at audiences aged eight to 14 and directed by Eoin McKenzie – Robbie (a 45-year-old man, played by Robbie Synge) and an 11-year-old boy (performed by the extraordinary Alfie) encounter each other on a building site. READ MORE: Nigel Farage has brought 'racism and hatred' to by-election, says John Swinney Although dressed for work, the pair can't resist the temptation to play. The plastic tubes of varying sizes, the gaffer tape and the set of metal steps on wheels are just too tempting as Robbie and Alfie find that they can bond wordlessly while putting the paraphernalia of the building trade to fun-filled uses. The duo switches the radio from its standard football podcasts to a series of musical numbers (by diverse artists ranging from Dolly Parton to New Order) that reflect their varying moods. At one stage, the choreography is supplemented by audio recordings of Robbie and Alfie talking affectionately and insightfully about each other. The piece is energetically humorous in one moment, and touchingly contemplative in the next. As a means of broaching the (often unarticulated) affection between members of the male sex, The Show For Young Men is reminiscent of Stephen Michael King's lovely children's picture book The Man Who Loved Boxes (which also took unspoken love – in this case between father and son – as its subject). Another festival show that ends with performances today is the tremendous German production Game Within A Game. Staged in the Assembly Roxy venue, the piece – which is co-produced by Munich companies Ceren Oran and Moving Borders – has its intended audience (of children aged three to seven) captivated from the outset. Large windows on wheels, constructed of horizontal slats made of elastic, allow performers to look suddenly into the audience, their eyes disappearing as quickly as they had arrived. A hand emerges here, a foot over there, all to the hilarity of the surprised and greatly amused young theatregoers. Three chairs can be manipulated to become a horse to ride or a car to drive. People become puppets on invisible strings. A mischievous fox makes numerous surprise appearances, including on the head of one of the three performers. The latter moment is part of a scene in which the cast play in gloriously eccentric costumes (including a man wearing what looks like a 19th-century hoop skirt topped with the face of a sunflower). The sense of fun and the physical virtuosity of the performers are absolutely compelling. So, too, is the momentum of a piece in which the titular game within a game emerges from the unpredictable negotiations of three friends. There is friendship of a different kind in Tiébélé, a lovely piece from Théâtre de la Guimbarde (of Belgium) in collaboration with Association Wéléni (from Burkina Faso). Performed by Alex Lobo and Bérénice De Clercq, the show – which was created for children aged 18 months and upwards – invokes the traditional village culture of women in Burkina Faso. De Clercq plays a n'goni, a beautiful West African string instrument that belongs to the same family as the kora (aka 'the West African harp'), which has been popularised around the world by such great players as Ali Farka Toure, Toumani Diabaté and Sona Jobarteh. Lobo mixes clay and water to create a paste that she will use to decorate transparent screens with the kind of designs that Burkinabè village women paint on the walls of their homes. Both performers sing traditional Burkinabè songs. Together, these elements – which are enhanced by a lovely use of projected images and animations – accumulate into a wonderfully gentle and elemental feast for the senses of some of the very youngest theatregoers. Last, but most definitely not least, is Grown-Ups, an uproariously inventive show by Belgian groups Compagnie Barbarie and BRONKS. The show – which played at the Traverse Theatre – is audacious and hilarious in equal measure. Made for children aged four to 12, the piece entails four grown-up women going about their daily business. Entirely unaware that they are being watched by an audience of children, they play kazoos, arse around with DIY equipment and generally indulge in the kind of ludicrous behaviour grown-ups tend to discourage in kids. There is a Charlie Chaplin meets Monty Python aspect to the silliness of these adults. Or, at least, there is until the brilliant moment when the grown-ups' games come to a sudden halt when they finally notice that they have an audience. Following some enquiries, the adults discover that the children watching them are here to see some theatre. 'There is no theatre here', one of the performers insists. 'We are grown-ups and we are very busy.' From there – with the glorious sound of children chanting their demand for 'Theatre! Theatre!' ringing in their ears – the grown-ups give the kids an improvised performance. All they can come up with, however, is some rubbish choreography and a stupid version of Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, complete with three rubber masks of the Russian bard himself. Elevating daftness to an art form, this cleverly conceived, beautifully structured piece speaks perfectly to the admirable programming of the always excellent Edinburgh International Children's Festival. The Edinburgh International Children's Festival ends today:

Hedyn Homes to fix Llanmartin home for cancer suffering boy
Alfie Smith was diagnosed in January and requires chemotherapy and major operations. Bathing is central to Alfie's care and he only has an unfit upstairs shower available to him. Today, after months of inaction, Hedyn Homes released a statement, following an Argus investigation: 'We're aware of the family's needs, and we're in the process of carrying out the necessary repairs to the home. "We know that there are more works required, and we are working closely with the family and occupational therapist at the University of Hospital Wales to adapt the home." A source has said Hedyn will now start work on the LLanmartin home in June. Currently, the home's upstairs walk-in shower is unfit for purpose, its residual damp causes constant mould to reappear after cleaning. The Argus investigation found damp smells coming from the plughole. Little Alfie is having chemotherapy, which weakens his immune system. Alfie, who also has asthma, is required to bathe twice daily. Mould is a serious danger to his health. Mum, Jess Dean said: 'No matter what I do, I just can't get rid of the mould. There's an old 'bogging' shower seat that needs to go too!' Alfie has Ewings Sarcoma and the house currently fails to meet any of his basic needs. He faces a surgery marathon that will remove an arm bone and replace it with part of a leg bone. He will then need a specially designed wheelchair and years of physiotherapy. The problems with the home are many, explained dad Mike: 'In the front garden there is a broken low-lying wall, the path isn't suitable for a wheelchair, his bedroom is upstairs and has no proper lighting. "The problems just keep on coming,' explained Alfie's dad, Mike Smith. Mum Jess explained before Alfie became unwell, he fell off the dangerous garden wall and was badly hurt in the area he now has cancer. Many parents believe that Ewing's sarcoma is triggered by injury. 'The path isn't wide enough, has trip hazards and it's wall is dangerous,' said mum Jess. She also explained that after surgery Alfie's wheelchair won't fit the path. Neighbour Wayne explained: "They've been failed, put out of site and out of mind and forgotten about. Let's hope this is the start of them being treated decently.'

EastEnders star teases huge storyline to run for months as Zoe Slater 'returns'
EXCLUSIVE: EastEnders actor Shane Richie has hinted at a major new storyline on the cards for Alfie Moon and Kat Slater amid a wedding for the pair, with the reports Zoe Slater is returning Alfie Moon actor Shane Richie may have shared hints at the rumoured EastEnders return of Zoe Slater. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at The British Soap Awards 2025, the Walford legend revealed there were huge scenes on the way. He promised a massive new storyline that would top the soap's 40th anniversary. Not only that, but he revealed the storyline would run for months, continuing into next year. He remained coy over what and who the storyline involved, but teased "fireworks". He hinted it would involve Alfie and Kat, amid reports Kat's daughter Zoe will finally make her return to the show after decades. Michelle Ryan is tipped to reprise her role for the first time since 2005, so perhaps this is what Shane was referring to. Teasing all, Shane revealed new producer Ben Wadey had huge things planned for the show. The actor told us: "He has told me some things. I said let me sit down. "There's fireworks, there's Kat and Alfie. There is a story that is about to kick in, which will carry on through to after C hristmas. Honestly it's a big story. If you thought the 40th was big wait until you see this story. That's all I'm saying." Shane also told us about his hopes for a Spencer Moon return. Spencer was mentioned recently on the show after his partner Vicki Fowler made her own comeback after more than 20 years away. Now, Shane is hoping Alfie will be reunited with his brother but maybe not too soon. He explained: "I would like him to come back. One of my sons keeps in touch with Christopher [Parker], but he's a lawyer now. "He flies between LA and London. I would love to think that one day they might bring back Spencer, but so much is going on at the moment. Alfie could probably do without that." It comes amid The Sun reporting that Michelle Ryan would be reprising her role as Zoe, while the BBC soap have yet to confirm the news. According to the publication, a source claimed it was "the perfect moment" for the return and the timing "felt right". They said: "Bosses have repeatedly reached out to Michelle over the years, but the timing has never been quite right. People are still talking about her character, so it's a real coup to bring her back. "She feels like now is the perfect moment — and there was an exciting script on the table." It comes after other returns being teased in the coming weeks and months. Max Branning has been teased to make a comeback, as well as his son Oscar Branning. When asked by The Mirror about this, EastEnders cast members including Jacqueline Jossa and Scott Maslen declined to comment.
