'Dancing with the Stars' Reveals Its Second Celebrity Contestant for 2025

Dancing with the Stars, co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, will be returning for its 34th season on ABC this fall. And today unveiled the identity of its second celebrity contestant and it's not the name that has been bandied about on social media. Instead, joining previously named wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin is social media powerhouse Alix Earle. The reveal was made this morning live on Good Morning America. 'I've always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars. I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma,' Earle told Lara Spencer and Michael Strahan. 'When this opportunity came to me, it was like, 'What can I do next? Where can I take this?' I'm ready to challenge myself. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. It was a very obvious answer to say yes.' 'I would like to say I have some rhythm, maybe, possibly," she said. "But I've never done ballroom dancing or danced with a partner, so that's going to be a whole new venture for me.' Earle is one of the leading social media personalities in the U.S. She is also the creator and host of the widely popular relationship 'Hot Mess' podcast, on which she shares exclusive, in-depth, intimate details of her life. Earle's ability to connect with mass audiences across multiple demographics has resulted in her earning a spot on Forbes' Top Creators and Fashion 50 lists, being featured in Rolling Stone's annual Creators issue as one of the industry's top creators, named Allure's Beauty Creator of 2024 (as chosen by readers), and recognized as one of People Magazine's Digital Creators of the Year. Additionally, she was featured on The Hollywood Reporter's 2024 Podcast Power List. Earle graduated from the University of Miami, where she studied marketing. A true 'Forever Cane,' she funded a scholarship in her name for students at the University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School. The Alix Earle Scholarship provides significant resources for students pursuing degrees in business, further strengthening the school's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Related: Additionally, Earle created 'Meals in Heels,' a recurring event series designed to give back to the Miami community by bringing friends together to prepare and package meals for those in need. An East Coast native, Earle grew up in New Jersey. She currently resides in Miami. The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers for Season 34 of DWTS will be announced at a later date. But it is confirmed that Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will be back at the judges' table. Dancing with the Stars will air this fall on ABC and Disney+, and stream next day on Hulu.
